Even if we were to somehow hit RCP2.6, we still have an average sea level protected to rise 0.4m by 2100. Cities like Vancouver are going to have a really fun time with mega-infrastructure projects to manage events like floods while other cities will simply need to retreat due to their inability to fund such infrastructure.

If a city is retreating in the face of sea level rises, floods and other inclement climactic events, then there are going to be supply issues with building stock writ large. Consequently people will be displaced and move further inland.

We already see a version of this in metropolitan regions on coastlines wherein the poorer you are, the more likely you are to live inland.

The sales guy who has been here 21 years can barely spell his own name and is basically an order taker for the house accounts
I got told not to talk to existing customers (when I was trying to find out how we helped them)
I have had no training or onboarding
I have to LOG A PRE-SALES TICKET every time I want any help (even to ask fucking questions like 'what hardware would we use for this purpose')...and it takes 3-4 days for a response
Nobody talks to me internally on Teams or otherwise
I get no feedback or 121s
We have no products, literally everything is bespoke which makes it very hard to learn about anything organically
There's no relationships with suppliers for additional support
We have a WEEKLY sales meeting where all I'm asked is what I've been up to and who I've been to see
I get comments like '50 calls a day' and then 'we don't want any old customer' and then 'you should be firing out quotes' and then 'we don't expect you to sell anything for a while yet'
I don't know what problems we solve, which means I don't know who to talk to (company or person)
Nobody has a reason to talk to me, and therefore I am getting no meetings or even responses with my cold outreach, which is literally the only thing I can do at the moment

My guess would have been 'cold' at something like 4c and 'cellar' at something like 10c which would be alright. Some places over here do bottled ales either out of the fridge or off the shelf and the latter is definitely not a great option.

It really is beyond belief how useless our medical staffing/payroll are.

I've finally managed to pay back the first time they double paid me. The second time got raised against my assignment number last month so I thought all was looking promising. Then this month it's disappeared again and they've paid me an additional £515 in pension arrears which I'm certain I'm not due. What I suspect they've done is put the amount through they meant to deduct against the overpayment as a rebate instead.

I'd play dumb and pretend I didn't know they've done it. You can't when it's an obvious double payment into your bank, but you could easily miss an inflated pension payment.

The double payment was probably less obvious tbh, I was only keeping an eye out because they'd done it before.

It got put in on a random day in the middle of the month (pay day is the 25th or nearest Friday) under an assignment number they promised me had been closed.

They are just retards, it's unbelievable. They set the bailiffs on a load of staff last year for failure to repay money they had never even contacted them about.
