You don't even need to know your name. Bloke in front of me said his address and the woman was like 'is it Andrew?' and he looked confused and went 'er no, Jake' followed by 10 seconds of confused silence and then him going 'Andrew lives over the road' and her realising she was looking a line too high.

Voted labour anyway. Our local person sounds like a right dirty slag. Marie Rimmer.

Not sure how my constituency will pan out (Norwich South).

I'd assume Clive Lewis has it, he won just under 40% of the vote and 67% of the vote went to Left leaning parties, but he's a Corbynista and he also voted against Article 50, which really brought him some ire from the Brexiteers and the 'Soft' Remainers. Plus the Conservative candidate has been going hard here, seen more signs for her than I did in 2015 definitely.

Who's giving the all nighter a shot then? I think I napped at some stage around 5-8, but I had a terrible night's sleep so I may still drift off early. I tend not to fight it since its better to cut out the crap, wake up and take it all in at once.

Really don't fancy doing an all nighter with tomorrow being Friday so not exactly a good day to sleep all day after work. Obvious outcome too.

GS
08-06-2017, 08:22 PM
The exit poll should give a very good picture of what's going to happen, if you're only interested in the result. The all-nighter is when you get to see prime moments of hilarity, like Angus Robertson or Nick Clegg hopefully being thrown out.

Alan Shearer The 2nd
08-06-2017, 08:24 PM
I've just had a 2.5 hour kip so it'd be rude not to do the all nighter. It'd be worth it just to see Angus Robertson lose his seat live.

Nothing will beat the Keith Vaz Tears from the referendum, but I'll be staying up as long as I can.

If there isn't a big majority, I kind of hope it goes the other way and Jezza parades into number ten propped up by the Coalition of Chaos, the spectator sport would be just marvellous.

GS
08-06-2017, 08:33 PM
As Floyd alluded to, the EU referendum was worth the all-nighter just to see Keith Vaz bursting into tears live on air about ten minutes after the result was declared.

The true pinnacle would be to see Alex Salmond reduced to a quibbling mess after he loses his seat in the face of a Tory onslaught north of the border, but alas it's almost certainly out of reach.

Nick Clegg losing his own seat and waffling on about "continuing the fight against this extreme Brexit" would be outstanding as well.

SNP losing twenty two seats would be glorious, whether they wind up in a coalition or not. They'd be even more limp and ineffective than the Lib Dems were. I don't think people down south really appreciate how divided their politicians are in terms of personal policy. They're a collection of everything from hardline left wingers to centre right held together by the one thing they all agree on. Their views are so disparate that they need an official policy of never disagreeing with the party leader under threat of expulsion to keep them in line.

I'm not sure I trust the exit poll, but there has definitely been a much larger mobilisation of the youth vote than in any year I can remember so it's possible they've swung it for Corbyn in enough places for it to be true.

If Labour only won by one vote in a constituency, they would still get the seat. And it doesn't necessarily mean they are going to get less votes elsewhere just because their majority in a certain constituency has reduced.
