Have secured rank 3 in division 6 so 27,500 coins coming my way on Thursday, which will take the balance to 40k. Picked up Busquets earlier for 18k and it's tempting to go for Kroos next. Get to use him for a bit and his 52k current value is bound to increase.

As much as anything, I will use him solidly for a couple of months I should think, during which time comparable players picked up for coins will have depreciated. I'll have a supersub after that, as Promes and POTM Salah became for me later on in the game, and eventually he'll become an 86-rated SBC fodder, as those cards did last year. Win-win all around if you're able to use the card.

You need to be quick when if they increase his max price range if you want to maximize your coins. A few hours after it has been increasing, you get everyone listing the same card and undercutting and then you will probably get less than the original 60k if you sold him.

Right, we'll start with shooting. There's an obvious glitch at the moment that makes you do a weak little side foot nonsense shot when you're trying for a power shot in certain situations, so regardless how good your striker is it's impossible to properly judge a finish.

That's if your striker gets in position in the first place. I've tested this one, and Aguero with his 92 positioning will make exactly the same runs, at the same time, as Lys Mousset with his 65. Even when forcing a run they'll often do mental things like charge straight towards a defender when there's space for them to move into.

The passing system itself is fine, but again, it seems like a player's ability doesn't have much to do with the success of an individual pass. Jose Holebas will ping seventy yard passes crossfield all day, but introduce a bit of traffic and suddenly Jorginho with his nigh on 90 passing is indistinguishable from Etienne Capoue.

I could probably moan for another hour but I'm on my phone.

Hallelujah! I agree with the rest of your post, but this point is so bang on the money I had to single it out because I've barely heard it mentioned anywhere.

The number of times I'll be on a break or just moving forwards and my striker will either check his run and inexplicably start running horizontally, or worse, run back towards me, is an absolute shambles.

This isn't as noticeable in online play, but in squad battles, due to the way the defenders are so compact, it makes it pointless even trying in favour of just rinsing a timed finesses instead.

The side foot thing is also infuriating.

Serie A at the moment, I'm running the 4-3-3 with the ST and LF/RF flanking them and just going with Insigne, Mertens, and Icardi.

I have Mertens at ST to keep his chem at 10 along with Insigne. If I play Icardi up top then him and Mertens go to like a 6 or some kinda shit. Now, only Icardi is at a 7 and everyone else is a 10. I'd prefer to play Mertens out wide as he has a better passing stat than Icardi, but with the way I play this year so far (I basically score every goal from inside the box from a passing play rather than crossing) it hasn't stopped me much so far.

I do have Jose Callejon (who would provide perfect Napoli/RF chem but is only an 84 overall) and Cuardado (CL-85) whom I've made into RF's. Cuardado I'm using as a sub for now, hoping that his ridiculous pace will run teams off the park. Callejon I'm holding onto for now. If I decide to move Mertens or Icardi he'll make a nice stop-gap until a replacement comes in if needed.

That SBC is a shambles all round really. With pace nerfed, the reward is a dreadful card, with far too high requirements to earn. I'm also not even sure I can be arsed to go for the Verdi card either as it means playing at least 5 games (more than likely 10) with a team I won't enjoy, for a reward I won't use.

I played my 5 placement games in Division Rivals to see if I could win the 3 games for that swap card. Won all 5 placement games with a pretty shit team. Got placed in Div 4. Won my 1st game 1-0. Then proceeded to relatively dominate the next 2, but lost 5-1 and 3-0. They kept having shots from the edge of the D and they'd all fly in.

Meanwhile I have 1 on 1s that see my just knock it lightly into the goalkeeper. I need to work on my finishing. Whenever I try a low driven it balloons over the bar or past the post.

My passing also needs a lot of work. It's either slow and ponderous which sees me keep the ball, or it's fast and direct(how I like to play) but then every 4th or 5th pass is errant and gives the ball away. It's also pretty clear you cant really knock it round the corner anymore.

The shooting is bugged in that your players will occasionally do a piss weak side foot effort no matter how much power you put on it. The shots that are flying in against you are presumably timed finesse shots which are massively overpowered.

Just spent another 30k on 83s and 84s and 12k on a Japanese Liga Nos week 2 IF who looks the bollocks. Shouldn't have missed him really.

I bought a Meuier 84 last night for 66k ehich seem cheap. At the momement, the same card on BIN is 73k so a nice profit on that one.

A good way to make coins is OTW flipping. Buy the card this week before a players game on the weekend and then sell BEFORE the teams are annoucned . Thats a an official way to make 5k-10k a card.

I know my team isn't amazing but I expected some competency. It's destroying my ability to play fast. Up to 10k in the bank again and it's tempting to move on and try something else, but having the two cards on my right for free makes me want to try and stick with it.

For timed shooting turn the trainer on. You can have it showing just that and the movement arrow. The latter is annoying but worth it for the former. It’s actually quite easy once you get to grips with it.

Oh and back up to 100k of coins now and a fuckton of cards in the club, but have no desire to improve the current team in any way.

What I might do is just invest and plan for a mass sell off when prices rise so I can buy one marquee player to use for the rest of the game. Maybe Messi or an Icon.

Patrico, Coleman and Torreria are really good. They have not put a foot wrong. Coleman is super strong in the tackle and Torreria is really good at intercepting tackles. Im trying to get the right system out of the front three. At the moment, the LF and RF are set to target men and drift wide which works well. The ST, is a tricky one. Ive tried all variations of tactics but still havent found something I like yet. GIroud as a target man is a beast but is a little too slow.

Clearing out your squad is a massive headache but it needs to be done. Trying to do it every week and keep on top of it all. Does anyone ever use the training items? They are long to apply and dont really sell if you list.

So it turns out I was wrong in what I thought timed finishing was. I've actually been after the low driven command which is apparently RB + LB + B. Explains some of my struggles.

The timed finishing thing is better for first time shots from a ball being fed in, or volleyed/headed etc.

I wouldn't say this is a glitch. If just normal expected behaviour. If you disconnect from the game, it counts as a loss and the game played for each player as by one. I have used it twice already for SBC requirements.

If you are going Prem and its not going to ruin your coins I would. He will be good for a while. Joint second best right sided player in the Prem for less than half the coins of the cards he is joint with (UCL Mahrez and Sterling)

I finished it the other day after asking the same thing - he's very good and well worth it imo. Once better cards come out, he'll still be a decent super-sub, and you can always chuck him in an SBC later in the season.

I also managed to pack a Son in the reward packs, so I've actually made money on the SBC overall.
