Did the likes of United's much vaunted midfielders (Giggs, Scholes, Beckham) ever take pens for them or was it always a forward or Dennis Irwin?
Giggs took some penalties when he was older, certainly. Pretty sure Scholes took one or two, Beckham might be a good shout though.

Mane has 78 goals so far without a penalty.
Paul Scholes scored 1 penalty out of his 107 PL goals, and Beckham scored 2. Giggs also scored 2, both in the same game.

RB Leipzig are challenging in an attempt to win their first ever title in Germany this season. Can you name the 22 teams across the top 5 European leagues (England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain) to have won the top flight only once?
(All-time records for England and Spain, starting from the inception of the Bundesliga (1963) for Germany, the inception of Serie A (1929) for Italy, and starting from the professional era (1932) for France.)
Sampdoria, Deportivo, 1860 Munich, Auxerre, Leicester.

You were close with Blackpool - they finished 2nd in 1956, and it was Stanley Matthews who won the Ballon d'Or.
Sheffield Wednesday have won it 4 times, Blackburn 3 times, and Millwall have only ever finished as high as 10th in the top flight.

Sheffield United is correct, won it once in 1897-98.
Preston have won it twice, and Huddersfield three times (in a row, under Chapman). Stoke's highest position is 4th. Koln have won the Bundesliga twice.
I'll give you the Paris once Sincere, but the team were known as RCF Paris, or Racing Club Paris. They won it in 1935-36.
