Finally finished uncharted 4.

One of the most enjoyable, storyline satisfying games ive ever played. Graphical it was amazing. There were parts int he game where you were at a high height, and felt uneasy. Felt like i was that high for real.

Destiny 2 is great fun. Basically Destiny 1.5 and I'll get bored after 40 hours but the gunplay is still the best in the business.

Had some good fun pissing about in the EDZ whilst doing a couple of missions. Had to get to a marker but it was right in the middle of a war between some 60 power odd Phalanxs and some knights or something. I was only at about 27 power too at the time and every time I started shooting they'd cease their war, turn to me and put me down. After dying twice some level 20 guy came over and helped me (I contributed little) to clear them out.

Also got involved in some battle with a few others with some giant glowing orb thing to stop them getting some energy or something.

Do the math and aim at the marker distance, not just feel. If you don't move the marker its 50% harder. I won;t get onto the elevation/downhill math on driving and approaches, plus the lofting, plus the wind math.

Then you have green speeds in top right, 187 is shit off a shovel, 101 is treacle. Its all practice in the end though, putting is probably my best aspect. Downhill putts take off rapid in TGC2 so be gentle with those.

Well I made a bit of a boo-boo in new Divinity's excellent character-creator by misunderstanding what the Origins were and therefore going with my own but it's not a major issue and my undead elf should still be a lark. I've already munched on many a corpse and there's a lot of cool new stuff in it. Enjoyed the first few hours and the co-op is done masterfully once again.

I can't open Steam.

It keeps trying to update and then crashes saying that the bootstrapper has stopped responding.

Tried a reboot, a reinstall, deleting everything bar the Steam.exe in the folder and nothing :\

Edit: Trawled through forums and videos and finally found the problem. Have to reinstall loads now though :(

I had that error last year. I fixed it by changing the setting for beta's to "opt out of beta".

Aye, antivirus and Steam have had a rocky relationship for years now. Friends had problems with different antivirus (AVG, Avast, MSE to name a few), often resulting in making exceptions for Steam.

The spider thank one, when it crumbles and drops those orbs, put them into the machines next to the bubbles containing the rocket launchers. Takes six orbs so spider needs to crumble twice, don't rush to kill it until you've done all the orbs.

The witches one, you need two of you in each glowing platform, kill both witches quick and take out all the enemies that spawn. Stay in the circles.

The glimmer mining one, take out these little machines that spawn at each glimmer points, there's one at all four of 'em.

Don't know the rest. You get better loot for heroics, I've done 48 of 'em lol

Public event with the spider thing > Wait after it's finished for a special NPC which seems to spawn every time > go do the witches.

So many on that planet due to Xur and there are only 2 events so it's chaos as only one can be up at a time.

Also got the Coldheart weapon today, only bad thing is that you can only have 1 exotic weapon equipped at a time. It's like a machine gun on speed though.

In the last half an hour or so I've been dumped out of airlocks, intentionally blasted me and my enemies out into space, blown up half a spaceship and sent the bit with all the guards tumbling away into space, teleported an armoured enemy into the path of a sentry gun that was trying to murder me, sliced up a whole ship full of guys with no-one noticing, blown up a ship full of guys with a shotgun and grenade launcher with everyone noticing.

Really is well worth it.

Yeah, with this one you only meet the 'neighbourhood' but your guy still has a more 'ethnic' voice so you could be the whitest guy ever but still sound black.

My guy is super white, but luckily it's emphasised any time he tries to beatbox in the cutscenes.

I've given the GM mode a quick go, you default to the same character as career mode but he broke all his legs years previously so you still have storyline stuff but in super quick skippable subtitles which I prefer

Heat Signature is a weird game. The core gameplay of picking up a mission, breaking into the ship, killing everyone on board is fun but what am I achieving apart from liberating space until that character dies? I'm not sure.

The goal for each character is to complete their personal mission, beyond that I'd say the Defector missions are worth liberating stations for. You're not wrong though, I've got maybe a bit more than half the stations unlocked and I'm probably going to lose interest before getting them all.

NBA 2k18 on the Switch is rough. The game still plays but anything outside of that, no bueno. There's an audio bug meaning every cutscene's sound clips and the models look like dogshit. The Asian lady is rather annoying.

Meanwhile, Golf Story might be the most relaxing time you can have in a video game. The soundtrack is so good as well. There's no video to link to but there's one with saxophones which is basically battle music from Final Fantasy and it's fucking amazing.

Went back to Furi on Easy difficulty. It still feels a bit rough to me. Parry timing still feels alien to me and you're expected to pull a series of them off in certain phases. In other news, I wrapped up the remaining bosses on Dark Souls. Tanked Manus with the Havel set because that boss feels too aggressive for that game. He's a Bloodborne boss 4 years in advance. Kalameet was piss, by comparison. Once you know how to avoid his red debuff beam, you're cosy. Dark Souls II next. I've got DLC and Darklurker bosses to wrap up in that.

So the hack is out and very simple.

I’ve added a bunch of games and then instead of playing one I loaded up each one, played a bit then made a save state. Now if the SNES is doing it’s little demo thing it does a demo of the roms I added too.

Still loving Divinity Original Sin 2. Had a fight in my co-op save yesterday where it must have taken us about 40 minutes to finish it. Two differently-aligned groups of enemies, loads of absurd elemental effects and combinations going on. Brilliant stuff.

I restarted my NBA2k18 career as my Point Guard was pissing me off with the way I'd set him up. So I went for a taller Shooting Guard. What I've since realised is I have no idea how to play any position that isn't Point Guard. I just walk around into other peoples positions thinking, 'Maybe I should be over here'.

Not being able to boost my team mate score by just passing it to a corner, getting it back, passing to the other corner, repeat ad infitum is annoying too.

Got 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in 1 game though while still a 60 rated player though. The beautiful thing about Jeremy Lin is he will always run in for the layup so you just completely abandon your man and slap him around.

Outside of that match I've been complete dog shit. Quick way to get your points up though as the coach won't give you any minutes and you can rack up that salary. Is there anyway to earn VC not playing MyCareer games/Multiplayer? I've just checked the 'Predict a Game' results from last night and I got all of them wrong by 20+ points. Nice.

So far so good. I've not done much beyond the initial story gibberish but it's fucking dense though. So much loot/gear/systems.

Combat and mechanics are still great though, as are the orks chatting shit as they walk about/do their wrestling intros :D

Maybe this will be the exception but literally every time I've ever gone into a game hearing people getting themselves into a froth about microtransactions I've ended up ignoring them and not caring.

Regardless of whether the end of the game is a cynical, un-fun cash grab or not, however, whichever publication it was that described Shadow of War's ending as PREDATORY wants to have a word with themselves. You can't get through a day without people trying to part idiots from their money but you don't get people having an anger-wank over the fact that WH Smith's are putting on a get-the-second-half-price to make you spend more on paperbacks.

Making people pay for an easier difficulty level for the final sequence, if that's what they're doing, is pretty shit if they've arbitrarily upped the difficulty to accommodate it. But Bioware removing one of the best characters and story arcs from Mass Effect 3 just so they could sell him to to you, for example, is worse and yet barely an eyelash was batted.

You start off pretty underpowered and have to unlock stuff. You can do some stuff like health drains but you don't have an execution move initially, for example

Early days but I like it.

I enjoyed 17 a lot but the rankings system was completely broken. I won about 3 or 4 rivalries with Brock who was the champion and 2-3 with everyone ranked just ahead of me but was stuck at 4th in the rankings. I always seemed to be forced into a rivalry just before the Royal Rumble so couldn't even do that.

Apparently they've fixed that but I haven't played enough to see yet.

Changed the system a little bit more too, before you'd just be in the main screen and you would have a lot more freedom. They've changed it for the better though and you can't just constantly cut promos/run ins etc so you're not in control from the start. You actually run around (but it looks like your whole body is trying to do the D'Lo Brown head shake with something large lodged in your arse) in the back talking to people. It actually seems more real but they could have done more, it is cool though being able to just jump someone in the back (when able) and starting a backstage fight.

When I joined RAW I spent the first 3 weeks having to help Samoa Joe rather than do any actual matches.

I'd say it's worth it but I am a sports game fan boy.

Just did my third attempt at MITB and Roman Reigns (dickhead) reversed my ladder finisher (one of the objectives) and later Big Show (cock) decided to run into the ring and celebrate on the turnbuckle allowing Roman Reigns to get the briefcase.

Just a had a bug whilst playing a tag match.

I don some fool named Karl Anderson and he starts rolling to indicate he is hurt. I'm guessing he was meant to roll out of the ring to recover but couldn't because Brock was in the way. I tried hitting him on the floor, pinning him, smashing Brock away, tagged in Braun so he could try etc but he wouldn't stop spinning. He just wouldn't stop.

He was spinning for about 6 minutes (I wasn't going to do the whole video) and then I decided to just smash Brock with a chair to end my nightmare.

First match that I've lost so I guess his defensive technique worked.

NBA2k update: I've been made a starter and am now scoring points for fun, putting up 18 in my last game. Still got no idea where to stand but I just spam a until I get passed the ball and run in for BIG BEEFY DUNKS. Seems to be working. Also the amount of rebounds you get from being 6'5 instead of 6'2 is just cheating.

However, the games fucking broken and I can't get into my closet and half the stuff won't load. I understand as the backend of this game must be mind bendingly complex. It's a fucking basketball game that has in-engine cutscenes that then flow into the fucking game with no load time. When you're in the open world, all of those buildings have individual cut-scenes as well. They're all fucking terrible but they're there. I'm amazed the game works at all tbh.
