I was wondering that. It's very strange someone would play it in first person, especially the driving bits. Maybe they'd finished it and we're trying to do it again more awkwardly.
It's just a very well done first person mode. You'd never see it in 3rd person but go into first person in the car and you'll see the speedometer/revometer actually work. Games aren't supposed to do those kind of details. It's just too expensive/time consuming.
Although when you're making half a bil a year off the multiplayer, it probably makes the decision easier.

Yup. They went for every license they could get their hands on and had to expand in a short space of time. Game of Thrones bombed and they arguably brought so many of them out that people got sick of Telltale. In other news, breezed through Destiny 2. I enjoyed that but the post-game can do one. Space freed up on my hard drive for the alleged release of Diablo 3 on PS Plus next month.

I haven't played online much the past few weeks. I have been grinding XP in single player mode. Made decent progress but still a long way to go. Getting my driver S-Rank looks like a mega task. I overestimated how good online races really are. If I get in lobby with users ranked the same as me. I can break into the top 3 once every 10 races. I need to be winning the B division in order to progress to A-Rank and then the same for S-Rank
The rate will slow down dramatically now as other games like FIFA 19 and Battlefield 5 will now have to share my time.

Yep, on first glance they've polished it up a lot.
Also, I was annoyed that I couldn't be a 6'7 'Cruiserweight' but actually that's a good thing. It also promotes the ability to tweak a character rather than having all be pretty much the same. The HUGE amount of skills/attributes/styles etc etc also contribute a lot.
I picked a technical wrestler and I'm going to specialise in British Strong Style (when I can) and aim to be Pete Dunne but with some aerial stuff mixed in.
It also helps that you don't run around backstage like you've just had a stroke and you're currently constipated.

I'm like Sincere, I'm not the type of player to complete the levels in 20 different ways. I'll complete it once and watch the rest on YouTube. Bloodmoney was great because you could complete it in your freestyle manner and then you'd find out later you could have done this or that rather than having the game tell you 20 this/that possibilities and choosing one.

Completed the WWE 2k19 story part of mycareer. Felt a little too short and some of it was pretty mental but overall the best one in a while.
What I don't like is the new hell in a cell matches. I got the chance to play one in my first match after the story and it was lacking. It's cool that they've let you break the cell wall in multiple places and you can walk 360° around it.
What isn't good is the fact that you can't use weapons or any normal grapples between the cell and the ring. You also can't whip/throw someone off the roof (you can break certain panels though) and I couldn't even use my table finisher move on a commentary table. HIAC matches were me favourite on these games but this one just feels bland.

I'm seriously looking at Kane and Lynch and Duke Nukem Forever on my steam wishlist. I shouldn't but there's something about having those err... landmarks at my disposal. To balance it out, I fancy playing some Duke 3D.
So I did an hour or so of Observer and was enjoying myself when it was just a miserable cyberpunk detective show and then hated the presentation of the horrory bits and I think that'll be enough of that for me. I quickly tired of the way it did that bit and a couple of reviews suggest that's the way they go. Which is a shame, because I was digging the world and the story.

It started in FIFA. It was so successful the guy who made it is/was (I think he just stepped down after all the microtransaction drama) made CEO of EA.
The reason why they have more promo/specials in the US is because they don't hit the same natural spend per player so goose it with sales/specials.

I'm using this blade that allows you to jump in the air and once you're in the air you can do a stab that'll take you back down to the ground, a different one that will bounce you back into the air or a simple air dash.
If you position yourself right you can stay in the air almost permanently as you have enough stamina regen between stabs, which is fun. You also spend far less time being hit by everything which is nice.

So Madden Ultimate team had a little glitch today.
In Solo Battles (FIFA's solo battles) they processed rewards today as they're doing a special event where the competition is daily rather than weekly. They fucked up though and ended up giving people who finished in Ultimate (like me) the rewards for finishing in first but twice.
I was meant to get 20k coins and 7 collectibles with a total of 4 packs but they ended up giving me (and loads of others) 200k, 60 collectibles and 2 packs. They also then gave out the correct rewards later on.

I'm not too sure. They've been rushing games out more since they signed with Disney. FIFA's knackered, Madden's knackered, Battlefield V is underwhelming, etc. There was the daft rumour at the start of the year about a Microsoft buyout which raises an eyebrow.
EDIT: Ah, Mass Effect Andromeda was so bad they killed the franchise. Battlefront 2's microtransactions might've actually started the whole political intervention that's going around Europe. At some point, they might need to do something drastic to bring back hearts and minds. Overall, though, the quality's just collapsed from their products.

Bioware was done years ago, it's now just a skin worn by a small appendage of EA to try and appeal to a certain sector of the market. This is now their MO, buy well known studios, milk their reputation for as long as possible then in the bin they go. In the background all the normal staples are still raking in massive wedges of cash and the quality of games seems not to matter. No-one cares if the latest FIFA or Battlefield is a bit crap because floods of plebs are going to buy it anyway, the last Mass Effect was a steaming pile of awful shite yet made a killing in sales.

It's not the precision that bothered me. More the consistency. At first, it's good at giving you feedback about your movement and sound. The idea that the enemies have to give away their position with sound (or you lure them with yours) is great. Unfortunately, I rarely felt powerful. Why can't I strangle people with my bare hands? Did I go to prison for a different kind of murder? How come enemies sometimes don't get drawn to my position when I try to lure them? James Earl Cash has 1:24 of dialogue. 40 seconds of that are his screams. He has no character. Why should I care about saving his family in one mission? Why should I care about getting out of Starkweather's film?

I have Fane as a Necro/Melee skelebob, Red Prince pure melee tank very similar to yours by the sound of it, Ifan as an Archer/Geo, and Lohse as an Aero/Hydro mage.
On your next save make sure you get polymorph and summoning on the go. Both are excellent fun. You could probably branch out into a bit of polymorph and get some of the fun stuff if the notion took you but summoning you'd definitely need to go deep into.

So my main on my run was a polymorph/ melee dude but you could just as easily mix it up with other magic. Dunno what the obvious companion to summoning is but if you go balls deep on summoning for the incarnate, totems, etc. then you can probably mix it up with a bit of whatever you fancy. I suppose a smattering of elemental magics so you don't have to be quite as reactive with the incarnate / totem?
I definitely want to try with scoundrel next play through though. Haven't made it work in either game.

Ordered a PS4 controller from Ebay and I think it's a counterfeit, albeit a very good one. If not, there's something definitely :sherlock: going on with it.
The seller said it was UK based but it was sent from China and arrived a week late
The box was opened and a cable (which shouldn't be in there) was in the box
The fit is a little wonky in a couple of places
The model number on the box and controller don't match
The box says it is meant to contain a Jet Black controller (I ordered a sunset orange one which was in the box)
It also feels lighter than a legit one.
Going to request a refund because this just doesn't add up.
Edit: Oh and Ebay removed the listing a couple of days after I bought one.
They are fake. The easiest way to spot them is the battery is listed as 600mh rather than 1000mh.

I thought I had it down with Kirby in the adventure mode but the xenoblade duo keep smashing the fuck out of me.
I'm also woeful at it. Especially when the camera pans out, it is impossible to see what the fuck I am doing. I also suck at getting myself back on the platform after being sent flying. So far having the most success (or the least amount of failure) with Kirby and Pikachu, spamming the hammer or the lightning.

My tactic with Kirby has been to jump/float and then do the weight drop on them.
The xenoblades duo have a defence down skill or something and when they activate that, it seems to only take like 4 hits to destroy me.
I use that weight thing a lot too. The Pikachu thing is more effective, I think.

People on here raved about the Rayman games but I'm afraid I couldn't tell you which one was the best.

Legends is the best one. I don't think they're particualrly fun on your own though.

Any good platform type games for Xbox? Even something like Prince of Persia or Metroid or something.

Axiom Verge?
I definitely get all the Subnautica love when it was first out, and the Cyclops is one of the best vehicles I've used in a game.

I really fancy blasting through the remainder of FFVI now. It feels like I just have to get the band back together to finish this. It's the best one.
I bought a Playstation Classic the other day. It's amazing how quickly the nostalgia is replaced by disbelief at how primitive some of those games are. Battle Arena Toshinden was one of my favourite games when I was young, but it's fucking unplayable. Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy 7 make the purchase worthwhile, but I was looking forward to revisiting a few things on there that are abysmal so overall it's a disappointment.
Intelligent Qube is absolutely solid and Mr Driller is one of the most boring games I’ve ever played.
That's a point, actually. A few of the games definitely aren't 'classics' of the kind you'd expect to be included on this sort of thing. Cool Boarders 2? I mean, that was crap the first time around. I'd never heard of Mr Driller until I flicked past it on my way to Syphon Filter, another brutally disappointing game.
What they need to do is release a PS2 one of these. It's old enough to get the nostalgia pound, but recent enough that most of the games will actually be worth playing.

That's what put me off the PS1 classic whereas I couldn't wait to get the SNES, the early 3D games really don't age too well. Saying that I'd be all in on an N64 classic provided it can be hacked as easy.

An N64 that can be hacked or have all the wrasslin games on it would be magnificent.

Of the PS Classic games, Persona's the only one I really look at with envy. Mainly just to see what that series was before it became styled as fuck. That and Wild Arms which I can grab on the store already. I'd grab the SNES for a reasonable price because I never Nintendoed before the Gamecube.

Those games were so good but he didn't even post WWF Attitude, the small time prick.

I'm sure there's roster hacks available. The Acclaim PSX ones were rough. The only redeeming qualities were the FMV, crowd chants and the groans of the wrestlers.

I remember running to all the 2nd hand shops around Liverpool to try and find WM2000 when I was a young 'un. Eventually found it in one of the remotest ones to be told by the guy at the desk it was like Goldust.
Looking back I'm not sure he wasn't making a really shit pun, but that's still the best wresting game there's been for me.

They were all classics that haven't been topped.
Used to spend most of my weekend playing First Blood Royal Rumble matches (genuinely amazing and they need to bring those back) with 3 friends.

I don't think the N64 will age well either. I played Goldeneye not so long ago and again, it's unplayably bad now.

Yeah, I was never keen on the N64's look. There's no draw distance to anything and the texture work is basic and muddy.
Those games were so good but he didn't even post WWF Attitude, the small time prick.
That's probably because it was garbage.

Because it's a completely seperate game engine and was terrible.

Is there a way you 'complete' that game or is it just doing those rotating personal stories?

Thieving git. Nice wrench action, best non-lethal weapon in the game.

There is an ending once you take the four(?) strongholds but it's waaaay too long if you want to clear the entire map.
