So i just played on legendary and you man are right, it does not feel much different compared to world class. Beat a 73 rated, 60 chemistry team 1-0 and then i beat a 100 chemistry, 83 rated team 2-1. Surprised it felt similar.

Ive now put all the three CM, in a 4321, to stay back when attacking. They still seem to move forward whenever they please, so I dont know what is going on there.

Figure out the game mode needed. I needed both Online seasons and Squad Battles so I chose the latter
Load up a team with the players you need to score with. Disregard chem.
Play on Beginner/Amatuer
Bang in 15 goals and meet all the objs.

I did it to today and met my England, Iran, Morocco and Serie A challenges. It means losing out max points for a game and also leaving the online seasons one on the table but it was worth it for the packs I got.

Rocking this at the moment on legendary. Im looking to strengthen further. I hear IF kimmich is a beast and i also want to get james rodriguez in the CAM postilion. I want that left footed flair. I could then convert tolisso into a CMD, bench Bendner and move goretzka into the CM position. Schmelzer has never put a foot wrong and ive had him from day one. I want alaba but im in no hurry. I suspect he miles better. . Muller isnt that storng or fast, but he also is beast.

Any other suggestions on improvements? All my coins are invested at the monent with the end game being IF lewandowski.

I have IF wagner and he is a beast. Super strong but he has little pace. I like to hold L2 with his back to goal and bring others into play. I use him as a sub and bring him on when im defending leads as a target man. I may be tempted to go for the IF version of james.

I paid 22k for ginter. Hummels was double that price at that time. Hummels pace as a defender isnt great. (i think its 63?). Even with a chem card, he is still slow statistically.

Edit: You said Werner. I read that was Wanger. I have him in my club but I dont think ive ever used him. Ill test him out later on. Do you use him with a chem card? Just checked his stats and he looks small and quick. Hoepfully, he turns out like a german gabriel jesus.

Werner was an early beast for me. The 70k spent on him, Vardy and Bakambu early doors was always destined to be money I was never going to recoup given they’re the kind of players that plummet in value by October, but it was well worth it in providing an effective early FUT Champs partnership that made me 100’s of k’s Worth of coins in rewards and packs.

I've tried him for a few days now and testing has been good. Not much to say as every time he gets on the ball, he is clean through on goal and double tapping square with any player is an easy finish. There isn't any stat for it but i feel his touches per goal ratio is super high.

Also legendary difficulty does not feel any different to world class now. I remember when FIFA first came out and i played on legendary. It was unplayable. I still have difficulty defending against the AI, especially when they do one-touch passing on the edge of my box. Show me a man who can defend against that.

Started well with 5 wins but then I lost the last two. It feels a little better than 4-3-2-1 defensively but there's something not quite right about with it when attacking as I really don't feel like it plays to my strengths. I was playing against HIGH fucking pressure teams though so 5 wins for me in those isn't too bad.

Think I might go back to 4-3-2-1 but that would mean selling Eriksen who is absolutely brilliant in the CAM role plus I also feel that Son is wasted when he's pushed too far out wide.

The problem with him is that his strength's already so low that when you factor in whatever wankery is applied to your players when you play squad battles on legendary, he becomes borderline unusable when he's in anything other than a decent amount of space. I thought an Architect card might fix it, but it didn't.

Just played two quick legendary squad battle games and Pogba is brilliant. I've been changing my mind in the last few days about if I should bring him in or someone else (was going to bring in 85 Blanc had Salah been in the TOTGS) and I'm so glad that I bit the bullet.

He's pretty much perfect for my style and exactly what my team needed. His defensive stats look shit but his pace (hunter card), strength and height make up for it. He's effectively a brick wall but he provides so much going forward. He only had 2 assists in the 2 matches but he created another 3 or 4 that I should have finished. 91 stamina too so he'll just keep on going.

I really hope that some of my OTW/PTG investments (looking at you Salah, James, Walker, Douglas and Sane) get some IFs quickly as I'd really like to get that 85 Blanc in there in place of Bakayoko.

Edit: Oh and Son is on 7 (loyalty and manager) and he's still fucking lethal. I'd say more so in this formation as I've been cutting in a lot more with him and Martial.

When you are attacking corners, you are setup defensively awful. The AI puts one play up front and you have two defenders (usually the CBs) standing behind him. As soon as the ball is cleared, the attacker always collects the ball 99% of the time. Wish you could amend corner and free kick instructions. It would be useful.

Since my post ive lost 3 games on legendary . Just lost To a 74 chem, 74 rated team. Its early but ive sneaked into elite one. I suspect when others play catchup, ill be into elite 2 for rewards. Happy with that.

Patience defending is key. Force the AI out wide and dont drag your players out there. I can deal with crosses and long balls all day.

IF Goretzka is fantastic. Which is annoying, as now I have 250k from selling a load of SBC silvers including some 10k Russians and were I to sell him and revert to his normal card I could bring in Pogba. Or, I could wait for a week, pick up my 30k of rewards and hope to pull some more big players in my packs and possibly have both for next weekend league. Wish I’d put more into SB this week.

Tried using that but I didn't feel that it was getting the best out of Blanc as I was still quite poor defensively and Rashford was doing nothing at all.

So after a few games I decided to change it to this in game:

The difference it made was huge. Pogba, Blanc and Fernandinho were bossing it and the AI couldn't get near them on Legendary.

5-0 win with Rashford (who had done nothing in my other games) scoring 4 goals. What I think I will do short term is buy Mkhitaryan who will go on the right with Rashford dropping to the bench and he'll then be the CAM in game. Long term, I think I'm looking at an IF Son again or the TOTGS Mbappe.

Bought Mkhitaryan and I decided to put the full backs on stay back (had them on default) and it's brilliant now.

3 games won 2-1, lost 2-0 and won 2-0 against 82+ sides (the last 2 were 86 and 87), feels so much better defensively and despite the low scores I'm creating plenty of opportunities on the break but I've shanked a lot/got superkeepered.

I'm also surprised at Fernandinho, I thought he might not be great in the formation but he's thriving.

Having a good CAM with good long shooting and a strong CDM makes that formation great. Legendary difficulty does not produce many wtf moments any more.

Played all my games today and have made it to Elite 2 but it's in the gods now to see if I stay there. Lost the final match against a impossible side that had 3 legends and several TOTW players. I even put it down to professional thinkinh I'd win and get atleast a 1000 points but lost 2-1. Their winning goal was one of those where you just want to throw the god damn console out the window. I had freekick inside my box and went for a short pass up to the defender. Suddenly the defender runs away and it goes straight to their striker who lobs it in to an empty net. A normal day I'd won that match easily but I got superkeepered.

Finally for a game won on SB. Dropped down to professional and won fairly easily. Then went back to legendary and won 5-1. Changed the formation to a 4231 with two holding defensive midfielders and it feels much more stable. Instead of going defensive which I did previously with success on 41212(2), I go to ultra attacking from minute one and I like the way it feels. I think I also need to drop muller as for by play style, he has his back to goal often and he just isn't strong enough. 10 game winless run comes to and end. Wining the 11th with 3 games left, just sneaks me back into elite 2

Mad disappointed with the FUTMAS awards. I'm invested heavy into it, but it appears many feels the ssme way I do as player prices are just not going up enough, which indicates people just have interested in this players so far. Draxler and Miki could have been better with CAM position changes.

Lost my 100% online seasons record today in my 9th game losing 3-2 (I missed so many chances and defended like a dickhead) but I followed it up with a 3-0 rage quit in the first half match to win division 9.

Really like my team right now, the front 3 (especially Martial) are fucking lethal. Mbappe though tries to defend so much even though I have him on stay forward, for most of the match Pogba plays further up the pitch.

Next upgrades will be TOTGS Kimmich and Boateng in for Aurier and Sanchez.

Lost my 100% online seasons record today in my 9th game losing 3-2 (I missed so many chances and defended like a dickhead) but I followed it up with a 3-0 rage quit in the first half match to win division 9.

Really like my team right now, the front 3 (especially Martial) are fucking lethal. Mbappe though tries to defend so much even though I have him on stay forward, for most of the match Pogba plays further up the pitch.

Next upgrades will be TOTGS Kimmich and Boateng in for Aurier and Sanchez.

I find Mbappe's tendency to come deep works well with Martial on the other flank being a lazy fuck. Mbappe is so busy he wins the ball all the time and it's becoming a regular occurence that he wins it from the opposing full back, squares to Lacazette who moves it on for a stationary Martial to thwack it home.

Pulled Alexis from my Prime Player Pack so am tempted to replace Martial with him for a few games for shits and giggles.

I like to play with two midfielders breaking forward so I opted for a hunter as I find the positioning boost to be really important. Immediately feels like a big upgrade on Alli, who I really liked and had 400+ games on him. Far better tackling and general defensive hustle, better close control around players, better crossing. He’s got 1 goal and 3 assists from his first two games. Might be better than Pogba.

FFS. Took all 8 attempts to win the DKT yesterday which made me regret not bothering with making Gold 3 last week. Tonight, I’ve strolled to it at my first attempt, when I didn’t even want to - I just couldn’t get a game in singles or seasons.

Keep pulling Cov City and Monterrey silvers in reward packs too :D made 40k on my reserves of them when MMs landed and another 10k through the 3 pulled tonight from daily rewards packs and the DKT Gold pack.
