Just realised I have 10/16 Russian League SBC teams completed and that Promes, who looks pretty much the same as IF Mbappe, would be at full chem in my side now due to Rijkard and Henry giving a strong and weak link each.

So... Think I'll sell Mbappe and give Promes a go, which also gives me the funds for TOGS Ter Stegen. Worst case, I bring Mbappe back in and Promes is a supersub as I originally planned.

I was bringing Promes on for Aseri but then realised that Barkley plays very well at RF on 10 chem so latterly have started bringing another mdifielder on and whacking Barkley up there. On the back of that I've just bought his OTW just in case he ever plays for Chelsea - got a clean card for 18k so not bad.

Tried to mix up the players from the first attempt, and would only use players I had previously if I packed them, hence Sane and Promes. I think Sane is my favourite player in this version that I've used so far, he's just a complete beast.

On the to do list is picking up a version of Son and Lallana and then doing the value for money SBC's according to that spreadsheet - think there's about 50 odd for a cost of 280k that reward 1m+ coins worth of packs.

Have just over 700k of coins and am on course to hit Elite 1 Squad Battles for the first time on this save, which is nice.

Finished the week on 80,199 points for squad battles so firmly in Elite 1 for the first time in a while. Yesterday's ludicrous pack luck has sold through, with Modric and Donnarumma going for 50k a piece, Cavani for 40k and 87 Icon Hernandez for 475k.

Took the opportunity to pick up a lot of 83's and 84's, the former of which are particularly cheap at the moment and once the SB rewards land I should have well over 1.3m in the bank.

I played against TOTY De Gea last night. He had a total of 16 saves and half of them are usually clear goals. A tactic I use is in the 2nd half, bring on Bellarabi with a Hawk. Still in on Right Wing with stay forward, and float balls over the top to him. The AI defense is usually visible knackered after 80 minutes and they can be explotied. Shooting across the keeper with a right footed player, from the right side of the attacking third usually ends in a goal scored. Not with TOTY De Gea though. Wonder save after wonder save.

I have 36 packs that I cant open as my unassigned pile has about 5 pages of players. Hopefully, we get a la liga sbc this friday as i have lots of players ready to sell.

Ive been trialing a few players. I packed a guy called Upamecano (https://www.futbin.com/18/player/17900/Dayot%20Upamecano/) who is a really solid card next to boateng. His heading isnt all that great but all his headers are clearences anyway so its not that bad.

Schulz (https://www.futbin.com/18/player/2412/Nico%20Schulz/) is also quick but not good enough on the ball as an attacking left back. I also packed Meite (https://www.futbin.com/18/player/16926/Soualiho%20Me%C3%AFt%C3%A9/) who isnt in the bundesliga but he plays really well. good. He has all the correct stats for a CDM and if he gets another IF, he will be an pure beast.

I would like to see the chemistry cards removed. It feels like it affects the balance of the game too much. Its already dependant on pace. They need to balance the gameplay better. Passing and speed/dribbling needs to be nerfed.

If you have the coins, I would buy gold cech. Last week in the hype for possible bpl league sbc, he went from 20k to 31k. This week we have still a possible bpl sbc, icons and he also saved a penalty and kept a clean sheet. He will rise again to 30k.

It annoys me that crossing into the box is so pointless on FIFA. When I had TOTS Giroud in FIFA 12 whipping it into the box was the most fun part of the game. There were probably cries that is was overpowered, but that's a bit rich when you look at how effective 'skill moves' are. Every game online is like playing FIFA street against 11 Jay Jay Okachas. Apparently that's more realistic than a striker actually being in the box where he should be when you want to cross it.

I score a lot from them but the cross has to be just right.

You can do a lobbed cross (L1 cross, fuck knows Xbone) in the box to the far post. It's brilliant as it goes away from the keeper and generally puts the cross on a full back rather than a centre back.

Son up to his TIF. Cost about 30k over his SIF when he was crashing hard.
KDB upgraded to his 91, cost me 60k
Pogba in got Ramsey. Bought the 88. 2 goals and 1 assist in his debut. Sold and upgraded to the 89. 290k outlay.

Leaves me with about 200k to invest and play with. Owen’s loan is about finished. I really liked him however I think having Shearers size upfront is going to allow me to use KDB, Pogba, Son and Mahrez even better than I am right now.

Yep. His price tanked hard last weekend as people expected the IF, that’s when I bought, and it rose again when he didn’t get one. Same happened for a while yesterday. A pile of them came on the market and wiped about 70k off his price at one point. It’s recovered though once the initial panic died down.

You can get him cheaper when its just released, then the dust settles and then the prices increases and settles. You need to watch the prices though and get ready to snipe the card you want.

I have no idea how to tackle. I generally lose interest completely at around this time of year for exactly that reason. At the beginning when you're cobbling together a team from whatever you happen to get and finding players you'd never have thought of winning games for you it's terrific. But once you have a settled team and it becomes all about grinding to the next four hundred grand player you notice the flaws in the engine more and it just becomes a bit of a chore at times.

I think Sergio Rico was your main source of the feeling I'm describing there this year.

I've not used him much and he's a clear downgrade over Larsson but his pace really is able to stretch defenders at the arse end of a game.

I should try getting him on sooner as 15 game minutes isn't a huge amount.

Does have 2 or 3 goals from 3 or 4 appearances though.

I have used his 81 in a similar manner and liked him. I usually try and make the sub around 65. Seems to work well when the AI start bombing forward.

The problem with that new Ben Yedder is that a Hunter on him doesn't really offer much of a difference between that and the old one with a Hunter on him.

Marksman or Engine make the dribbling fapworthy, but either leave sub-standard pace or sub-standard shooting.

Just did it for 40k plus a bunch of guys I didn't need for League SBC's thinking of it as making the Desailly SBC cheaper.

Got Zanetti, 300k worth of left back, one of the positions I was considering changing up if I got Desailly. Looks good enough to slot straight in as he's much stronger and more aggressive than Alaba and only shooting is worse off (a shame as Alaba would contribute the odd worldy of a goal, but I'm not keeping a worse defender in because he scores once in 50 odd games).

Picked on Auba for 66k during the market crash. He does not feel as fast as I would have thought. Probably down to his dribbling being so low. He is OK. but on as a RCAM, I prefer raffael. Only played a few games with him, this goal being the best one. I can almost guarantee that after 70 minutes against legendary on SB, I can score 3 goals.

Haven't played much at all lately. Spent all my coins when there was this focus on PL packs which was like 300k got basically nothing except for a MOTM Willian card. Seems that now you can sell anyone 83+ for silly money so made I think 250k from that in 24 hours. Which PL player should I buy?

Finished the Prime Ronaldo SBC, played a few games with him (he's obscene) but was almost instantly bored.

The fun in this game is in the grind at the start and it's too easy to pull a good team together if you use all of the options available to you to do so. With that in mind, I've set up a third account and I think I'll make it pack only (for at least the player I use in the team) and see how we go with that.

I played a few games last night with Giroud up front as a placeholder in a half finished hybrid side and he was absolutely superb. Six goals and six assists in four games.

His performance has all but convinced me that I need to get Lukaku in place of Batshuayi for my main team. That extra ability in the air made a huge difference.

Aouar is a bit lightweight but technically he's flawless. With the engine card applied he's like peak Iniesta with a bit more pace.

I bought neurer for 91k. Tried him for a few games and he really is a beast of a goalkeeper. Ive been using low rated bundesliga goalkeepers since fifa start. Should have got neurer much sooner. He comes for all crosses and saves all close range shots without even diving.

Also played a few draft games and managed to get toty kante and if pogba in a midfield two. I don't play with high end cards but they were by far, the best two played ive used in fifa. Running with the ball with pogba is such a satisfying feeling. Kante is just all over the place like birdshit. Its crazy how good he is. I really need to start using the high end cards now every played is available for 12k.

I was looking at a new right back and saw zanetti was cheap but he has 48 jumping. No good for those back post headers vs c.ronaldo.
