$40 buy in league: A tight win by 3 points. Had the Bears not scored a TD I would have lost, his team went 11+ points over their prediction. 2-0.

RB heaven quick draft: When I picked up Le'Veon, 'Zeke and Howard (no flex spot though so only 2 at a times) I thought I would piss the league but all of them have been shit, as has the rest of the team bar the Baltimore D. I need a combined total of 33.28 from Golladay and Tate to pull off the comeback.

Star Wars inspired IDP: 17.86 points with no one on my team left to play. He has Brandon Marshall and DRC remaining so I'm hoping for a week 1 style game from the Jets.

Super massive 1 million player roster IDP: I was predicted to get crushed I had some big performances and he had dick, of my offence only Howard didn't hit double figures wheras he had Shady, Fat Rob, Desean Jackson, Thielen, and Bennett miss. 23.18 ahead with Jonathan Casillas and Glover Quinn remaining for me vs his Snacks Harrison and Landon Collins. Feel like we've got this as non-pass rushing DL's don't do so well in this league (although Snacks can get a lot of tackles) and I've got two studs who can score big.

I wouldn't say Fleener is trash while TE is looking so shite this year. He's the TE 6 in my main league and when you consider Witten and Road Dogg are above him, neither of which were really on anyone's radar, he's doing well so far.

TTH league is a win, as is another of my Yahoo leagues, while the other one saw me get destroyed as it's the one where I have David Johnson, Diggs, Olsen & Bilal Powell, and accidentally started John Brown over Dez. Michael Crabtree is got almost half my points for the week :D

I also took a hammering in the dynasty league, having started Winston over Wentz, Crowell & Corey Davis (and Abdullah) over Jalen Richard & Derrick Henry, and TY Hilton & Cooper Kupp over Paul Richardson & Ryan Grant (lol at him being relevant). Still don't think I could've won with my best possible team though, as the other guy has Rodgers, Gillislee, Tevin Coleman, Jeffery, Fleener & the Panther DEF, all of which scored double digit points.

Question is, are the Miami DST (Vs The Jets) worth a 2nd claim if my alternative is the Jaguars (Vs The Ravens at WEMBLEY). I'm not playing the Panthers against NO.

Also, it would mean probably dropping Josh Gordon, or maybe Sterling Shepherd, no idea which of those is best, but there's been little news on Gordon lately.

I don't think the Jets are so bad that you should be targeting them when it means playing an average DST like Miami. I'd still go for the Jags out of those three, as that could easily end up a 9-3 game, or one where all TDs are scored by the two defences.

A couple of my Yahoo leagues have thrown up horrible decisions for me.

I can only start 2 RBs, as there's no FLEX in default Yahoo leagues, so I have to leave one of Ezekiel Elliott, Kareem Hunt & Christian McCaffery on my bench. If CMC wasn't playing the Saints this would be easy, but now I don't know. Meanwhile, in another I'm choosing two from Gurley, Fournette & Crowell, who would again be the easy bench if he wasn't playing the Colts.

The Jordan Howard situation is giving me a headache. He's obviously suffering a shoulder injury, but he's trying to play through it. Now in my league I'm only allowed 3 RBs so he is essentially my bench spot. But with Shady running into the Broncos D that completely shut down the Cowboys run game, I need another option. This would be Howard but there's the injury.
I either have to drop him in favour of a Buck Allen waiver grab(Derrick Henry, Abdullah, Rodgers and Carson are also there). Or I can try and trade to someone who isn't paying attention.

Elliott, particularly on the Harris interception, didn't look like he fancied it at all but Denver have had two good weeks on the bounce against the run and and absolutely dominated one of the best o-lines in football against Dallas.

I went 4-1 in my leagues this week, which is great, but I wish I could have won in Dynasty over any of the others (bar my main league).

The core of my dynasty team (WR, RB, Flex) is great but QB, TE and DST is a nightmare every week. I won't worry yet, the last time I won my main league I started 1-4 (may have even been 1-5) but I'm not optimistic about this season in dynasty. Oh well.... at least I have a game to go to on Sunday.

Not many fantasy implications on the London game, but I do have Tucker in 1-2 leagues, Buck Allen in my main league and the Ravens DST in 2 of them too. I also may start the Jags in Dynasty... but not sure I have the bottle, so may still target Miami.

Value Based Drafting really does make sense if you know what you're doing (I don't. )

Failing that the top couple this year are RBs but I found this year was one of the less simple years in terms of which position to pick first.

It's been a strange week across football.

Both my main league and dynasty games have been back and forth all night, which is ridiculous given I had Gurley in both and they should have been out of sight.

Main league I now have a 37 point lead with AJ Green, Ty Montgomery and Mason Crosby still playing in OT. He only has Derek Carr to come who would need an even bigger game than he had last week to beat me. Given I started the shitty Ravens DST and benched Diggs for fucking Doyle, I seem to have gotten out of jail.... fingers crossed.

Dynasty was a shit show after Gurley/Watkins had me in command and the Ravens DST hurt him even further. Cunter Henry getting 0 for the 2nd time out of 2 games I've started him and Rashard Higgins going back to being a nobody were my only 2 really bad plays, though not starting the Jags DST hurt. I have a 5 point lead with Cousins and Cooper left to play Vs his Pryor, Lynch and Bailey. Yahoo makes me the favourite but I'm not sure I fancy it. Fully expect to somehow go 0-3 despite 2 of the games being "won" by a mile at some stage and the other game being against the shittiest team in the league.

Cutler whiffing against the Jets, Doyle scoring negative points against the Browns & Anderson scoring a handful against the Bills - arguably the three worst teams in the league - along with Boswell having a FG blocked, Carr underthrowing Cooper on a deep pass & Melvin Gordon missing half the game, and still losing by less than 2pts (fuck you Jack Doyle you fumbling fuck) despite Pleb having the two highest scoring players in the tie, including an obscene 40+pt effort from Wilson, is actually pretty encouraging.

If that's the kind of insane swing it's going to take to beat me this year I'm in good shape.

Main League- Ended up being a routine win in the end over the team in 2nd when Carr didn't get close to what was needed. Gurley finished as easily the top scorer in the match up and ODB, also on my team, finished 2nd, narrowly ahead of Cooks who was his top scorer. I also had Mariota and Green ahead of his 2nd top scorer, Le'Veon Bell. An easy win even if the Ravens DST, Jack Doyle and Tyrell Williams did their best to keep him in it (thankfully he also started the likes of Hunter Henry, Maclin, Miller, Carr and Decker all of which failed to hit double digits). His team was 2nd coming in so I'll improve my grip at the top by moving to 3-0, though it looks like one other team will be joining me at 3-0. Final score was 224.70 Vs 194.60

Dynasty League- A win!!! A fucking win!!! About fucking time too. I'd lost faith after those opening 2 weeks but Gurley and Watkins had me daring to dream on Friday. Enter Cunter Henry (hero from my main league) and Rashard Higgins who didn't even combine for 4 points while he had the likes of Brees, Brown, Baldwin, Freeman and Ertz all go off to drag him back into it. Thankfully the like of Bell and Hopkins put up solid points (even if Amari Cooper continued to be MIA) and then Cousins went off, it finished the match up. Currently lead 183.07 - 147.54 with his kicker to play tonight. Thankfully him starting the likes of Pryor, Gillislee, Lynch and Ajayi let him down big time.

TTH: The glorious upset to cap off Mahow's weekend. :drool: My team is still fucking shite, but I'll take it. I told you... never trust the fucking Ravens in fantasy... advice I need to remember to adhere to in the future.

4th League- Shockingly I've lost here despite how great my team is on paper. It was a narrow loss with us being 2 of the top 3 scoring teams (only outscored by the owner who got that dodgy trade after I beat him week 1 and now looks like winning the league). My and my opponent have a gentleman's agreement to make dodgy trades once one of us hits 4 losses to help the other compete with him. Neither of us will probably return next year at this rate either, because it's every single year, between the same 2 teams, and it ruins the league every time. Oh well. I'll drop to 2-1, as will, most likely, the guy ahead of me, so it looks like it'll be tight at the top. The match up itself was a close one, but Wilson eventually made the different and he leads me 242.52 - 249.98 with him having an IDP left to play and me being finished.

Autodraft League- This was wrapped up on Friday with Gurley and Hyde going off and while he put up a fight, it wasn't enough and we cruised to 3-0.

Russel Wilson was also dropped in our league, with the guy being a Seahawks fan too. Stuck in a tentative waiver claim, being 7th of 10 in the queue. I've somehow nabbed him, so my QB situation looks a bit healthier.

Seemingly I've been playing TTH with an open spot on my roster. No idea when that happened or why, but there's fuck all out there to fill it with.

Looking at potential pick ups for my dynasty league and nothing is leaping out at me for a Waiver claim there either. Charles Clay is probably the most likely, as all of my TEs (Henry, Hooper, Howard, Fleener) are still being shite and with Snead coming back I really can't trust any of them. That said I'm not sure anyone else will be looking at Clay, and the only person I think might be (he's moaning about Bennett at TE) has a better priority than me. He does tend to snipe Free Agents very early though, so maybe I'll throw in a claim and start Clay.

The other options would be Smallwood (if he's going to get Sproles's passing down work he could be huge) or Alex Collins who did look good Sunday, but I doubt I'm spending anything on a Raven ever again.

Oh... and the Vikings DST is out there, which is tempting too as my options are Jacksonville and Carolina and while both can fill a need, neither is an elite level DST.

It's almost inevitable that Hunter Henry will score 30 fantasy points before getting 0 again when he gets back in my line up. I fucking hate him.

Cutler at Wembley on Sunday or Cousins Vs The Chiefs?

For some reason, Yahoo and Fantasypros seem to think the Chiefs are an easy match up. I have no idea where they've got that from because they held Brady to 10 points and Rivers to about 3 points in my format. Wentz did alright against them (approx 25 points, which is on the good side of average I suppose) but the match up terrifies me to be honest. That and Cousins has only been good for 1 game out of 3.

Cutler would have been a slam dunk for me if not for the fact he was shit against the Jets until garbage time.

Rankings says Cousins, my gut says Cutler... and you know, I'll be at the game, so that factors in slightly.

I also have Taylor and there is a chance Palmer/Bortles clear waivers and could be picked up, but I don't fancy any of those too much. I might consider Palmer if I'm in a commanding position after Thursday as he is probably the safest pair of hands, but I wouldn't like it.

Well I've got Cutler in TTH & I'm still probably going to start him, although I'm definitely considering the waiver wire again. Might have to watch the condensed Jets/Dolphins game to see what happened with them, but it sounds like they're going to shuffle a lot of stuff around, which could go either way. I kinda fancy this one being a shootout, but our defence should be able to get a bit of pressure against Miami, which could create some classic Cutler moments, it's just whether the coverage can hold up long enough for them to get there.

I have Cousins in another league, but I'm not exactly super confident in him either. Reed is probably still out, Pryor has been ultra garbage, and Doctson will probably be injured again by the time Sunday comes around. I think I'd go Cutler, just because of the matchup, but if I had both on the same team I'd find it hard to bench Cousins for him, especially after last week.

Despite losing in both this week I can take a little comfort.

On Wednesday night last week, one of two 0-3 guys in our league dropped Russell Wilson. He's even a Seahawks fan. Having seen him start slow and ramp it up for 2 years straight already, I put a claim in. Friday morning I got him. As mentioned before I didn't set my team again, so benched him this week.
Cut to today the guy who cut him wants to trade for him back. I am now a QB heavy though. I've Stafford and Wilson with Luck sitting on IR. The latter is starting practice this week so I need to think about shifting one of these for a piece somewhere.

Waives have gone through and I was able to get the Jags in TTH and my 4th league, while getting both Clay and The Vikings in dynasty.

In my 4th league I now have the Ravens, Jags, Broncos and Vikings as DST options. It is overkill and one or 2 will need to be cut soon. The Ravens are the obvious choice, but their Play Off schedule makes me tempted to keep them. I'll review it when there is someone I want to add. I wonder what trade value the Broncos would have, because the other 3 would be more than good enough to get me through.

Meanwhile in Dynasty I now have The Vikings, Panthers and Jaguars, but someone has dropped the Ravens. I looked at who I would play each week if I went with the best match up (obviously as it stands now... which may not be the most accurate, but oh well) and the Panthers would only play 1 time for me. The week the Vikings have a similarly good match (1 team worse, 10th Vs 11th) and the Ravens have a better match up. That, coupled with the Ravens play off schedule again makes me tempted to Waiver claim them and drop the Panthers. I'd obviously need to see that Wembley was just a fluke before I trust them. If I can't get the Ravens, I still think the Panthers are droppable with those 2, assuming the Jags keep it up. Fleener can be cut first though now I have Clay and Snead is back.

So it's been an up and down Fantasy day but the main thing for me is that I've absolutely stormed to victory in my dynasty league. Despite starting Amari Cooper and Sammy Watkins who combined for less than 6 points and ignoring my own "he's dead to me" rule and starting Palmer.... none of that mattered once Gurley, Bell, Hopkins, Howard, Clay and Allen were done scoring big points. For him, Michael Thomas and Tevin Coleman did well and Mariota will likely still outscore that cunt Palmer (I won't ever touch him again even if all my QBs have a meet up and contract bubonic plague) but but my lead is about 85 points with Kansas City and TY Hilton to play for him. This should lift me to 2-2 and into the Play Off places.

My main league has been up and down all day and this shitty OT has swung it towards my opponent again, but not by much. I currently lead by just under 70 points but annoying he has so many players still to come, those being Wilson, Baldwin, Hilton, Hunt, Hopkins (I had to do a double take... but it's the kicker) and Wagner. Meanwhile I have Jordan Reed (or Vernon Davis if he can't go) and the KC defense left to play.

My autodraft league is still no competition and I've cruised to 4-0 but I have definitely lost in TTH and probably, somehow, lost in my 4th league despite being a ridiculously heavy favorite on projections. Only Cam Newton REALLY went off for him so it's a bit confusing how that happened, but his kickers also put up stupid points which didn't help. I really don't care for that league though so oh well.

Not much change in the late game, but I'm now expected to win in my main league by 2 points. It's been back and forth all week and the expected winner must have changed 50 times, so not putting any stock in it. I lead by 6 points with Jordan Reed and the KC DST to play Vs his Hunt and Hopkins. I need Hunt to come back down to Earth to have a hope. If I lose it'll be mainly on the QB battle (Siemian was bitterly disappointing after a good start, and Mariota died Vs his Brees and Wilson...) and the Montgomery injury, but Wagner's TD didn't help either (never should have cut him.... but he wasn't doing much and IDP is such a crap shoot). No idea whats going on with JJ Watt but he got half a fucking point. I wouldn't be totally shocked if I won this, but I'd make him favourite thanks to Hunt. Still can't complain at 3-1 if that's how it goes.

In my 4th league (the only other one that could still go either way) I'm ahead by about 14 points with Cousins and Hopkins to come Vs his Smith, Pryor, Thompson and a LB. Yahoo makes him the easy favourite and it's hard to argue with him having 2 of Cousins's main targets which will help him out every time Cousins goes to them. My best hope is basically a FG fest (which would kill me in my main league) so I hope that doesn't happen. Guess if I want to win both I will need Cousins to go to Reed (preferably) and Crowder all night.

Someone dumped Mariota to the waivers for Jared Goff which isn't a shock and I'm currently stuck with Rivers (who I'm starting currently) against Giants or picking up Dalton against the Bills. Saying that at the time of writing this I might consider throwing in Blissett who faces the Niners whose defense is currently ranked 22nd according to Yahoo.

As hard as it is to start him after the last two weeks he’s got the perfect matchup to score some big points this week. I hate the idea of playing him, so much so that I’m riding the Eli rollercoaster instead this week, but I fancy him for around 20pts. Dalton is playing the Bills, who have killed everyone so far this season, so I’ll be sitting him this week.

Also, start Carson Wentz this week if you have him - I benched him for Jameis in dynasty this week so he’s nailed on for 300 yards & 3 TDs.

I don’t think anybody could start him with any hint of confidence after the last two weeks, but the Titans defence is bad enough that we could all probably play offence & score on them. Besides, if Matt Cassell is starting they’re going to have nothing on offence & the Dolphins are probably going to see short fields a few times.

Due to the rule set in my work league and given I've had no injuries as yet, my tactic on waiver wire day has been to wait. Let other people make silly mistakes and move my way up the queue, then pick them up on the secondary waiver claims later in the week. It helped me get Wilson after someone panic dropped him.

As such, Kirk Cousins, Demaryius Thomas and Carlos Hyde have hit the wire. I'm tempted by the former of those and can pretty much have him for when he goes through tomorrow. I see him and Stafford as being very similar, so I might ship Stafford about a little, see if I can work a trade somewhere.

As for my matchup this week, I was hoping for more from Mike Evans last night and I'm now behind.

A plus is that my opponent is 4 down already, including a 0 from his TE. Any points gained from Ertz are essentially clawing the gap back for free.
There are 2 games that will decide this matchup and that's Chargers @ Giants and Packers @ Cowboys.

I fully expect the Giants and Beckham to go mental and Rodgers is Rodgers.

Ty Montgomery is all but out for the Packers today. I'm not sure my opponent in the work league knows this, but I'm not saying anything. It'd be very helpful to have 2 of his players score zeros.

If he doesn't make a change, then it will be all about how many points Beckham and Manning want to pile up. Because it'll be a lot. I'm expecting 40-50 between them.

I'm not really looking forward to this tonight as I'm starting so many players I don't trust at all across my main leagues.

In my actual main league I'm starting Buck Allen out of desperation as Ty Montgomery is likely out, Crowell is not startable even against the Jets and Ingram is on bye. Frank Gore is out there on Free Agency but I don't really want to drop anyone for him. I'm still slight favorite to win but that will evaporate when Mariota is ruled out and I'm forced to start Brissett instead..... Ugh.

Meanwhile in Dynasty Carson "Dead to me" Palmer retains his starting position from last week due to lack of other alternatives. In the rest of my team there are a few punts too such as Sterling Shepherd and Devin Funchess starting over Cooper... so we will see how that goes. I still like my chances there, which means I'll probably lose.

I'm also starting Cutler in another league.... thank God I don't care about it.

This week seems to be the worst for me in terms of the bye in TTH (and another 1 or 2) which is a bit shit.

I'm going to play Cooper, he's going to be shit & I'm going to lose. I've already accepted my fate this week. If only Snead wasn't on a bye this week I would've been able to get away from Amari, but my only other options are Kupp & Henry, and they could potentially both be just as bad.

Having said that, I'm going to have to play at least one of them in dynasty :D Titans are likely to run the ball a lot, but just as likely to be running against stacked boxes every time & Murray is probably going to see most of the work as he can catch, whereas Kupp is against the Seahawks, who could easily just shut down the whole Rams offence.

The three of them combined might not even hit ten points this week. I haven't even really checked my other leagues.

EDIT: Spotted Alex Collins on waivers in my dynasty league, so I've picked him up & he'll start over Henry & Kupp. Someone's also dropped Danny Woodhead, so he'll go on the list of late season adds alongside Edelman & Ware. Amazingly, Blake Bortles is unowned too, so I should probably pick him up, if only for some potential trade value.

I'm starting Collins and Allen in some combination in all my leagues IIRC. Which scares the crap out of me.

Both can get a solid 8-12 or so but they could just as easily get 1-5 a piece. The staff seem to be uneasy on Buck for no real reason as he's better than West and Collins has butter hands.
