As you might expect given my misery all Sunday, I took some proper kickings this week. Most of my wins were in random leagues I don’t care about, but Kittle Mix did manage to win despite starting Mitch & having John Ross on the bench, so it could have been worse.

It's not so much the actual loss as it is the fact we were projected to be the 2nd or 3rd highest scorers and we fucked it completely. Jameis Winston is dead to me until further notice.

Still, it could have been much worse. The SF league was up in the air right up until Sutton proved why everyone was stupid to let him fall so far in the draft.

Like last year, the AI auto-picked my fantasy team (was at a wedding this time, which is a better excuse than last time when I just forgot). Any good? Last year I did well enough that a few people raged that my AI picked side was an unfair advantage, and replicating that response is my main ambition for the season.

If Denver compete it'll be because we've managed to get Lindsay and Freeman going and run them into the ground. I've been more impressed with Flacco than I expected to be but an already poor offense has a serious issue coming out in the second half once teams have had a look at us and being kept at arm's length, and giving away a stupid amount of penalties. I could envision us making a game of it but I can't see us scoring enough points to win because the D will be on the field more in the second half and will likely tire.

Still, hopefully somebody takes Hill's head off.

I was on course to win in all 3 of my leagues somehow, despite having a massively depleted roster. However, lost it in TTH Dynasty last night in the most frustrating way possible. I was ahead by 6 points or so in a VERY low-scoring match-up, solely thanks to Ekeler and Hooper doing better than expected. However, injuries and byes meant that I had to start Crowder and Anderson as WRs, and my opponent had Edelman. I've lost the match-up by 2 points :moop:

At least Minshew (a roster addition at 5:58pm Sunday) pulled me to a win in the TTH Standard league.

I like selling the Pats D. They're likely as high as you're going to get in value right now. Swapping Jeffery for Scary Terry is okay though I think a bit of a sideways move. There's also the worry that upstairs want Haskins put in(which is was did for Gruden in the end). Jeffery will put in a solid game so long as Wentz is on the field(if you ignore the whistleblower rumours).

Boyd has been pretty insignificant bar 2 games, whilst Gordon has seemed to be the cause of his offence stuttering. Before he came back Ekeler was flying and so were the Chargers. Now they seem to want to force him in even though it isn't working really and it's harming everyone.

In Evans and Barkley you've obviously bought yourself 2 stars, though you have given up an MVP potential QB there who is pretty much the perfect fantasy QB at the moment. Carson is also a very undervalued player. He doesn't have the big name but he's very solid on a team that runs the ball well.

I'm assuming this is a standard redraft here, but if you can waiver in someone like Stafford in the morning, or if you have decent backup on the bench then losing Watson isn't all bad.
Issue is you've lost 6 pieces and got 3 back. You must have pretty high confidence in your ability to grab a good defence or QB from waivers. A streamable WR shouldn't be too hard to find.

Breaking it down you've essentially traded Carson and Gordon for Barkley. Jeffery for Terry and then Watson, Pats D and Boyd for Evans.

I would guess you're top of your league looking to bulk out your roster with quality over quantity, knowing you've already pretty much made the play offs.

As always on these things it depends on what the rest of your roster looks like, but in my work dynasty league I've done similar to you. I've acquired Beckham, Hopkins, Gurley and David Johnson. I am a believer in quality over quantity.

I would have had both matchups in the TTH leagues sown up if it wasn't for the tale of two running backs. In Dynasty, my opponent has had Tevin Coleman get 37.8 points, while in the Standard league, my opponent went even better with Aaron Jones getting 38.1 points. I'm 4 and 15 points behind respectively, with JuJu to play in both leagues. I SHOULD win in the Dynasty league, but projected to fall just short in Standard. Need a big game from JuJu and the Steelers tonight.

I can't complain too much though. Aaron Jones turned it around for me in the auction league and has given me a chance. I'm just under 30 points ahead, but my opponent has the Steelers DST, and this league hands out a lot of points, so I won't be surprised if it still a loss.

Chargers are just relentlessly fucked by injuries & bad line play. Trey Pipkins & Sam Tevi at tackle is just hilariously unacceptable.

Raiders are the ‘Grudens Grinders’ dream. They just run at you & keep things ticking over, so Carr can manage the offence & keep them on schedule rather than having to be a real playmaker. Josh Jacobs is such a monster.
