By comparison here is the team Yahoo is projecting to win the league:

QB: Rodgers, Stafford, Carr
WR: Beckham, Jeffrey, Thielen, Hill, Richardson, Agholor, Doctson, Bryant, Sutton
RB: Zeke, Kamara, McCaffrey, Guice, A.Jones, Montgomery, Thompson
TE: Graham, Rudolph, Engram
DST: Denver, Rams
K: Tucker, Zuerlein

I mean, they are easily my biggest threat, but I'd take mine any day of the week.
I have a thielen (:baz:) that Thielen and Agholor will go on a massive tear this season and leave OBJ to dust.

The rest of that team is a little bit suspect (minus the kickers obvs).

Dan
21-05-2018, 05:14 PM
Thielen, Kamara, Deshaun Watson & Saquon will be the most overdrafted players in fantasy this season, I think. Maybe throw Derrick Henry & Jerick McKinnon in there too.

I take full credit for telling all of you guys to draft Thielen last season

Yeah but you can forgive them (Kamara, Watson and Saquon) for going high in dynasty leagues.

He’ll kick the fuck out of anyone in a kicker battle. Rest of the team is nowhere close though.

What does the Sanu team look like?

It's so horrifically bad, and this draft did nothing to fix it:

QB: Allen, Dalton, Brady
WR: Sanu, Gallup, Chark, St. Brown, T.Williams, Benjamin, Wallace, Edelman, Fitzgerald, Crabtree
RB: Duke Johnson, Buck Allen, Powell, J.Williams, Murray, Lewis
TE: Goedert, James, Kelce, Reed
DST: Dallas, Seattle
K: Gostkowski

Kelce is his only asset at all I think. He was on auto draft for the initial draft and has done himself no favours since. He traded away Tyreek Hill for a bag of beans which didn't help, but somehow came 3rd last year.

Dan
21-05-2018, 07:02 PM
He's really helped himself by picking a rookie QB that can't hit a 5yd pass, a rookie WR that can't run routes & a rookie TE that will barely play for at least a season.

Browning
21-05-2018, 07:13 PM
His trade history since we started is:

Matt Stafford for Josh McCown and Larry Fitz
Josh Doctson and Tyreek Hill for Dion Lewis and Chris Thompson
Chris Thompson for Kelvin Benjamin

All with the same guy as well (the other team I posted).

I would love to make an offer for Kelce, but no idea where to even start as he has nothing else that interests me.

Edit- For clarification in his lineup, that's Terrance Williams, not Tyrell.

Sir Andy Mahowry

That's not unlike my first ever draft for TTH.

Loading up on Rookies because of Madden, what fun times.

I have to say I enjoyed the Rookie draft experience and I would recommend everyone do them offline. You probably need a shorter deadline than 12 hours per pick, but we did the whole draft in about a day and a half, and the potential for trading up/down was great, which you wouldn't get with an online 2 minutes per pick style draft.

Our full results were:

Round 1: Barkley, Guice, Penny, Michel, Sanu, Chubb, Freeman, Jones
Note- Pick 1.02 was traded for Pick 1.06 with Drake and a 3rd rounder also changing hands. Pick 1.08 was traded for Russell Wilson pre-draft.

Round 2: Hurns, Moore, Burton, K.Johnson, D.Johnson Jr, Richardson, Walker, Ridley

Round 3: Kirk, Agholor, Miller, Ballage, Gallup, Jones, Houston (only 7 teams had a pick this round)
Note: Agholor and Jones went to the same team as a result of the round 1 trade.

Round 4: Gesicki, Godwin, Sutton, Hurst, Allen (only 5 teams had a pick in this round)
Note: Pick 4.03 was obtained by trading away Cooper Kupp.

Round 5: Mayfield, Hines, Kittle, Goedert (Only 4 teams remaining).

Round 6: Prater, J.Washington, Darnold, Chark

Round 7: C.Coleman, Trubisky, Pettis, St. Brown
Note- I re-entered the draft following the Fournette trade.

Round 8: Crowell, L.Jackson, Brate (Only 3 teams left)

Round 9: Stills, Rosen, Butker
Note- I traded away 9.01 for Hogan to the team who also had 9.02

After that only 1 team (the guy picking 3rd each round) remained and with his final 3 picks got Gould, New England and Eifert

Dan
21-05-2018, 09:44 PM
You should all be disgusted with yourselves for having Darnold, Rosen & Jackson going after Matt fucking Prater

Browning

It's an 8 team, 1 QB league. QBs don't have the value they have elsewhere. I don't know why that guy felt the need to get a 2nd kicker though.

Gray Fox

Lord Tucker

He wins.

He's no Jake Elliott.

Sir Andy Mahowry

He's no Jake Elliott.

You've been on the sauce.

Gray Fox
21-05-2018, 10:25 PM
My boy Jake doesn't need domes to kick 61 yards.

Sir Andy Mahowry
21-05-2018, 10:26 PM
He kicks in more domes (probably) than Tucker and his accuracy is far below the GOAT.

Gray Fox
21-05-2018, 10:27 PM
I think we can all agree Adam Vinatieri is the GOAT.

Sir Andy Mahowry
21-05-2018, 10:32 PM
Justin 'Most accurate kicker in NFL history being the only person currently having made 90% or more of his kicks' Tucker disagrees.

Browning
23-05-2018, 05:45 PM
So now that Hunter is dead I get a free add to replace him. I almost certainly have to pick up a TE unless I can swing a trade. If not.... I have no idea who to go with. According to FP the top options are: Clay, Ebron, Cook, ASJ, Watson, McDonald. Any thoughts?

Edit- Obviously that's for 2018... I'm not looking for a stunning Dynasty option, just a 1 year plug in.

Sir Andy Mahowry
23-05-2018, 06:00 PM
Could wait and see who the Chargers sign to replace Henry.

More than likely be Gates who will be the undisputed starter.

Browning
23-05-2018, 06:49 PM
I probably can't wait too long. People were concerned about drafting too early because of injuries so the compromise was if you got a season ender you could have a free add to replace them, but the waivers aren't actually open until Pre-Season. I obviously wasn't anticipating a season ender this early... but after discussion with my co-commissioner about how best to handle it now, it was suggested a 48 hour deadline to allow trade talk etc. I can't think of a better way to handle it really, but I'm not thrilled by that system. I'm also unsure on when actual waivers should kick in. What do most people actually do with that in a dynasty?

Dan
23-05-2018, 08:53 PM
From that lot I'd probably take ASJ, but it's not an inspiring bunch. Watson will probably get 60 catches this season, which might be decent enough in our offence, but then he's just as likely to get hurt as soon as his old body takes a hit, so maybe not.

I've set our dynasty league to be waivers as soon as the draft ends, so people can't just go adding all the hot free agents over the preseason. Also, Sir Andy Mahowry log in & reject the trade offer I sent you over a week ago :D

Sir Andy Mahowry
23-05-2018, 08:56 PM
Or accept?

I forgot about it actually.

I saw the email notification and lolled heartily at the time.

Browning
23-05-2018, 08:58 PM
Yea, I've put everyone on waivers, but when do you intend to start letting people make waiver moves? I've locked all moves until pre-season currently.

Sir Andy Mahowry
23-05-2018, 09:00 PM
Also, I decided to take a look at my keepers again.

I've just noticed that he took Brandon Marshall 6th overall last year.

Previous owner was a fucking train wreck.

Browning
23-05-2018, 10:11 PM
I'm leaning towards doing away with the rule altogether for free pick ups after injuries. Just not sure it makes sense in a dynasty. I still would have kept Henry regardless.

Still not a clue when I should start allowing waivers/free agent pick ups though.

Dan
24-05-2018, 06:25 AM
I think mine is just set to go to waivers immediately after the draft, but I’ve not had a proper look at the settings in a bit.

Browning

Dan
24-05-2018, 04:58 PM
Doing a mock draft on the train home & the guy with the first pick went Rodgers, Jacksonville DST, Justin Tucker with his first three picks. Julio Jones was still on the board.

He’s on another level.

EDIT: Penny & Jones next. One guy got angry & left :D

In contrast, I ended up with Hopkins, OBJ & Amari Cooper as my starting WRs

Browning
25-05-2018, 07:39 PM
The guy in my league who owns Antonio Brown put him up for sale when he of the shitty trade offers made him a shitty offer. I was somewhat tempted to make a play (though it's much harder having recently sold the farm for Fournette) but I found out Fay's Fall Guys had offered him Diggs, Mixon and Juju for Brown and Ajayi. I'm not willing to compete with that, it's too much in my opinion. But the guy hasn't taken it and supposedly tried to put together a deal that involved Evans and let him keep Ajayi..... fucking hell.

Dan
25-05-2018, 11:01 PM
I think I’d actually consider giving up Brown for that offer in a dynasty league. Was he trying to get Evans as well? :cab:

Browning
25-05-2018, 11:46 PM
I think it was Evans in place of JuJu but also taking Ajayi out of the offer, which is insane. The reason JuJu was included at all was because he didn't want 2 WRs from the same team as well, so that would defy the point.

Gray Fox
25-05-2018, 11:55 PM
Posting to remind myself to set my keepers.

Browning

"Jeffery is the highest ranked player involved in this offer, and Graham is going to finish the year as a top-5 TE (maybe even top-3). And he's a player that you will use every week, while Robinson and Howard are both more likely to ride the bench for the majority of the season (even though replacing Robinson with Jeffery is likely an upgrade thanks to uncertainty at QB and recovery)."

Supposedly that's an improved offer. Fucking hell.

Dan
29-05-2018, 12:23 PM
Yep, Jimmy ‘can’t move anynore’ Graham is going to be an elite TE this season playing on a team that never throws to its TEs.

Gray Fox
29-05-2018, 05:06 PM
Set my keepers. When you and Mahow get done with yours that'll be 6 people set.

Dan
29-05-2018, 06:09 PM
I’m doing mine at the last minute, since I’m the commissioner. One bloke hasn’t logged in for 5 months though, and can’t be contacted by email, so that could be another spot that opens up.

Browning
29-05-2018, 10:16 PM
So after some discussions with the league, I've come up with my waiver rules. Weekly waivers on a Tuesday, but no free agency following it. You will however be allowed one FA add per player that you've placed on IR... but only in the week it happens. So next Tuesday, I get one add to replace Hunter Henry.

According to FP, the best dynasty players out there are: Gio Bernard, John Brown, Samaje Perine, Eric Ebron, Kenneth Dixon, Tyrell Williams, Doug Martin, John Kelly, Latavius Murray, Curtis Samuel, Zay Jones, Austin Hooper, CJ Prosise and Jordan Wilkins. None of that seems worth a waiver, but I'll likely have to pick a FA out of that lot, of the list of TEs I put up previously.

The other option is to take a real punt on someone with potential upside later on. There's an article on FP again regarding Dynasty sleepers that lists the following: Tavon Austin, Danny Amendola, Brice Butler, Amara Darboh, Kendall Wright, Taywan Taylor, Clive Walford and Jordan Akins. Not sure if any of them are any more appealing though. Part of me would be tempted to take a punt on Tavon if he cleared waivers.... but that's probably stupid. There's just so much coach hype around him at the moment.

Pleb
29-05-2018, 10:36 PM
I take it your not feeling Amendola's value then Browning?

Browning
29-05-2018, 10:52 PM
I have no idea what that means....

Dan
29-05-2018, 10:59 PM
I feel like Amendola is probably the best of those guys you've mentioned there, but he'll probably get injured if he starts three games in a row, so maybe Hooper in the hope that he actually decides to get his shit together.

Dan
01-06-2018, 07:56 AM
Anyone else wanna take over a team in the dynasty league? One guy hasn’t logged in for five months & can’t be contacted, so if someone is willing to commit by Sunday I’ll let you take over & do your keepers before I clear the teams.

Well, one of the owners I’d set keepers for has now dropped out :D I’d feel bad if I hadn’t sent about fifty messages letting everyone know when the deadline was. We now have two roster spots to fill by Saturday though.

Reddit may be the way forward. I just need to work out how the fuck it works.

Browning
05-06-2018, 08:22 AM
Got to make my free add today after only the Steelers were claimed. Think I’ve narrowed it down to Amendola, Tavon Austin or Tre’Quan. Would rather a TE to fit my team but don’t think any that are out there are worth it.

Dan
05-06-2018, 08:42 AM
Not Tavon.

Browning
05-06-2018, 09:11 AM
History says he’s garbage but the coach hype is seriously tempting.

That said with my team being as strong as it is it probably makes sense to get Tre’Quan and wait on him.

Pleb
05-06-2018, 10:56 PM
Amendola or Tre'Quan personally.

Saying that you might of already grabbed Tre'Quan.

Browning
05-06-2018, 11:00 PM
I have indeed grabbed Tre'Quan. It was a tough call, but ultimately he has the most long term value. I did consider Gio late on, but I'm just not convinced by him at all. A Brees WR is bound to have value at some point.

The Antonio Brown negotiations are still going on, with the latest being the Brown owner asked for a 1st rounder to be added to the deal. I wouldn't mind, but I have a trade agreed with the other guy if he gets Brown... so I just want it over with.

Bit early I know but here's my random Yahoo! league draft last night:

1. Alvin Kamara
2. Travis Kelce
3. Adam Thielen :baz:
4. Russell Wilson
5. JuJu Smith-Schuster
6. Kirk Cousin
7. Devin Funchess
8. Mark Ingram
9. Nelson Agholor
10. Wil Lutz
11. Seattle
12. Isaiah Crowell
13. Sterling Shepard
14. Tarik Cohen
15. Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Kareem Hunt, Saquon Barkley and Mike Evans went late first, early second round which was slightly interesting. No one went for Case Keenum which I was adamant some random pleb would of took him so I may offload Cousins for him once preseason hits unless some random person has already took him since Waivers starts tomorrow. I could take a punt on Mayfield though. Scoring is as standard as a normal "draft now" league would look so nothing major there then. I'm sorry Mahow no one took Kenneth Dixon :D JuJu is currently questionable with a knee problem so nothing to worry about there lads.

Browning
13-06-2018, 11:11 PM
What the fuck are you doing taking a QB2 in Round 6?

That said, Cousins is infinitely better than Keenum. He's the only QB in the last 3 years to be a top 8 QB every year. If you drop him for Keenum, especially after investing a 6th in him, you should be expelled from the league. It would be like dropping Russell Wilson for Alex Smi.... oh.

If it's a 12 teamer then Thielen in round 3 is a steal. Even in a 12 though you've over paid for Kelce (assuming you were somewhere around 7-9 which prompted you to take Kamara).

Browning
14-06-2018, 04:38 PM
So a 7 team league? Because I'm reading it that he was 4th in each round.

If it's 4th from first and 4th from last (AKA 4th...) then we still need to know how many teams were in there.

How did nobody claim Hunter Henry?!

Effectively just swapped Hilton, Crowell, Fuller & Hooper for McCaffrey, Henry & Jaylen Samuels, which I’m completely fine with.

So,the new NFL.com fantasy leagues launched and as usual made my batch of team which naturally graduated to extravagant trade offers. Here is one i got accepted right out of the bat.
Me receiving: Deandre Hopkins,Jags Def
Him receiving:Kyle Rudolph,Alex Smith,Sony Michel,Nelson Agholor,Seahawks DEF.
Thoughts?Good,bad,hilariously shit?

Sir Andy Mahowry

A bag of shit for Hopkins and the best fantasy defence? Good deal. Especially if you have a decent TE option.

Limoutsonik
23-06-2018, 03:10 PM
How is Jack Doyle regarded then?Also,C.Brate,D.Njoku,E.Ebron,T.Kroft,M.Lewis, B.Watson,V.Davis,ASJ are available as free agents to pick up to complement him.

Sir Andy Mahowry
23-06-2018, 03:19 PM
Doyle will be good if Luck is fine.

Ebron, Kroft, Lewis and Davis are tash.

Brate could be good but OJ will get more looks this year. Njoku might be a little raw still and he has to try with a new QB now, Watson could be a great red zone target for Brees and ASJ is a tough one, he has great attributes but he's only had one good season.

Gray Fox
23-06-2018, 06:22 PM
Tyrod Taylor only threw to 3 people in Buffalo. RB, TE and 1 WR. If he continues that, Njoku is a good shout.

However you dont spend a #1 pick on a QB and sit him for long. Mayfield may well be completely different when he comes in.

Browning
23-06-2018, 06:26 PM
If that's true, Clay must be the worst player in history, because he did fuck all for me in fantasy (I won the championship despite him though).

Plus, that's all he had in Buffalo.

Gray Fox
23-06-2018, 06:32 PM
I said he threw to him, I didn't say anything about catching!

Dan
23-06-2018, 06:37 PM
Wasn’t Clay injured last season?

Tyrod should get the whole season if we’re going on merit, but #1 picks don’t sit anymore so Baker will probably come in at the bye week.

That’s a cracking trade, by the way.

Browning
23-06-2018, 06:43 PM
Not really. He missed a few games at one point I think but he was rotated with Henry in my dynasty team and played in the final games after Henry went down.

Dan

Ah, then he must’ve just been shit.

Gray Fox
23-06-2018, 09:12 PM
Work league has gained a member but lost the two inactives from last year. Would be nice to have the 10, but as it is it's going to be a 9 man league, but the one thing it does do is allow me to possibly improve my draft position.

I was going to be up last as I've won it the past 2 years. So even if I get drawn last again I'll not have lost anything.

We'll be going 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1TE, D/ST, K, this year. 20 man roster though. So the commissioner still hasn't got it quite right, but it's much better. No player limits any more.

If they draft as bad as I know they can I could build a filthy roster with that. We'll see how it goes.

Dan
23-06-2018, 09:38 PM
Is this the one where you had the super team?

Gray Fox
23-06-2018, 11:25 PM
It wasn't quite as good last season, but still did the job.

The season before I got David Johnson, Julio Jones and AJ Green in the first 3 rounds. People get too hung up on favourites or heavily overpay for players they think they have to have.

Gray Fox
23-06-2018, 11:42 PM

Dan
25-06-2018, 10:11 PM
I'd much rather have Brown & Keenan than a bunch of mid-rounders. Ridley, Walker, Woods & Hyde could all do absolutely fuck all this year & I wouldn't be at all surprised, Guice unproven on a potentially garbage offence with three other RBs, and the Jags are a defence, and therefore completely devoid of value no matter how good they are.

This might be the least valuable QBs have been in years too, since there are about 20 who could be solid fantasy players, so yeah, I approve.

Gurley, Brown, Green & Allen on the same team  You could have Lamar Jackson at QB & still probably have a winning season. I thought I'd done alright getting Bell, Green & Baldwin in a mock I did earlier, but that's filthy.

Browning

Two trades just completed in my Dynasty league (not involving me). The team numbers are their finishing position from last season (8 team league):

Team #4 Sends- Alshon Jeffrey
Team # 6 Sends- Jamison Crowder

Team 4 is probably my biggest rival for the crown, but I feel he's gotten weaker there, albeit not significantly. He's a big Redskins fan who seems to have confused Alex Smith with Drew Brees as he's now drafted Guice and Richardson while trading for Thompson and Crowder.

Team #8 Sends- Antonio Brown, Jay Ajayi, Greg Olsen, Tyler Lockett
Team # 7 Sends- Steffon Diggs, Joe Mixon, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Robert Woods

Like this for the worst team in the league, but Team 7 (Fay's Fall Guys) got a LOT of young talent in the draft, so it makes sense for him too on some level. This also opens up the possibility of me trading Chris Hogan for Greg Olsen which I'll probably jump on given that Howard is my only healthy TE.

Edit- It's done, and with Olsen added to the line up I'm now projected to win the league (having somehow not been projected to do so before getting him).

Just tried to take a look at the TTH league & it went to an error page. Is it fucked, or is it just because it's not been renewed yet?

Browning
05-07-2018, 05:37 PM
Crap. I went to renew it just to make sure and seemingly it automatically renewed everyone's teams. That could be a headache if anyone wasn't planning to renew.... Can people let me know in here if they aren't planning to stay?

Must have pressed something that did that without reading it, oops.

But yea, hopefully it works now.

Browning
05-07-2018, 05:43 PM
Seems there is a problem with the league URL. I had this in my Dynasty league too and I was able to fix it by removing the capital letters, but there seems to be technical issues on the site stopping me doing that right now. I'll fix it when I can. In the meantime you should be able to access the league from your own page.

Our work league draft is coming up very soon, as such we've just drawn our numbers. I pick at #9(of 10) this year. My luck on these draws is shit. That's 4th, 6th, 10th and 9th now.

We're drafting in the place I was watching the Eagles win the Superbowl too, so hopefully that brings back some luck. I'm aiming for 3 times running.

Our draft has been pushed back now into August. Still keeping our allotted order, so I should be able to do plenty of mock drafts between now and then. From #9 it looks like I could well be faced with a choice of Fournette or Hopkins in the first round.

Given it's a 3 WR standard, I'm leaning towards taking the latter, as I'll be picking again 2nd in R2. The guy behind me is a big Fournette fan though so I doubt he'd make it back.

Browning
13-07-2018, 10:17 PM
I'm a Fournette fan too (sold the farm for him in dynasty) but Hopkins is the pick all day long.

Gray Fox
13-07-2018, 11:27 PM
This is the first proper year of no bollocks too. The old commissioner was a cunt, made a stupid draft order and had idiotic rules and player limits etc. All has been fixed this time around.

Had a vote on whether we wanted linear, snake or auction type draft. The latter would have been an absolute disaster.

Sir Andy Mahowry
14-07-2018, 12:00 AM
Hopkins is life.

Browning
21-07-2018, 03:19 PM
OK, so the league URLs and history etc should be fixed. I also dug out last year's keepers, so the following players can't be kept again:

DeMarco Murray (big loss there)
Melvin Gordon
Aaron Rodgers
Bilal Powell
Golden Tate
Mike Evans
Le'Veon Bell
Julio Jones

Happy to roll with the 2 keepers, and the 0.5 point PPR.

Probably keep everything else the same.

My main league draft has been set for 25.08.18 so i'll probably look to get this draft at a similar time as I like to keep them close together, plus that feels about right. Keeper deadline can be a few days before whenever we set the date.

So may as well open the discussions as to when we want to draft. If anyone isn't intending to play again, let me know. Also if we have any potential new teams, again I could consider that, but unless someone drops out, they won't get any keepers.

Gray Fox
21-07-2018, 05:10 PM

I don’t see it happening, but thinking about it, if additional players did join we would have to trim the rosters and probably therefore cut it to one keeper. But yea, I don’t see 2 additional players coming out of nowhere.

The Sunday seems a decent option to me.

Browning
21-07-2018, 06:07 PM
Set the draft to the 26th. Time is negotiable (as is the date if it clearly can't work for people, but it will be around that date).

Keeper deadline 1 week before (19th). Keepers to be submitted to me on the Yahoo site or by PM.

Draft order will be randomly selected and announced once I have confirmation that all 10 teams are returning. Can't see there being any who drop out really, think we weeded out all the ones who weren't committed.

Browning
21-07-2018, 06:42 PM

Jesus, just checked that. I've been there, multiple times. Mert hasn't been on the forum for around 7 months, so if we don't hear from him soonish, we may need to replace him.

I don't have any concerns about Ian renewing, so with 9/10 confirmed, I run the randomizer for draft position. I always like to do that early to allow for mock drafts and more informed keeper decisions (particularly for those considering round 1-2 keepers).

Here is the draft order for 2018:

1) Rich (AKA Fay's Fall Guys)
2) Baz
3) Me
4) Mahow
5) Ian
6) Mert (Or replacement)
7) Dan
8) Pleb
9) Gray Fox
10) Sam

Remember it's a snake draft, so the order is reversed for round 2.

Edit- Also made the decision that increasing to 12 would fuck everything up too much, so we'll stick at 10, replacing Mert if necessary.

Dan
22-07-2018, 10:47 AM

Player
Tom Brady (NE - QB) Round 1, Pick 2 2 44
Adam Thielen (Min - WR) Round 11, Pick 2 73 25
Zay Jones (Buf - WR) Q Round 6, Pick 9 294 243

Rob Gronkowski (NE - TE) Round 2, Pick 9 62 21
Jerick McKinnon (SF - RB) Round 18, Pick 9 106 27
Jeremy Maclin (Bal - WR) NA Round 9, Pick 8 246 284
Corey Davis (Ten - WR) Round 9, Pick 2 333 69
Matt Ryan (Atl - QB) Round 5, Pick 2 16 106
Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG - WR) Q Round 1, Pick 5 280 8
Stephen Gostkowski (NE - K) Round 7, Pick 2 45 160
Matt Bryant (Atl - K) Round 13, Pick 2 56 173
Los Angeles (LAR - DEF) Round 16, Pick 9 46 139
Seattle (Sea - DEF) Round 8, Pick 9 86 17

Those are your options Baz, along with round cost (ignore the other numbers after the round).

Also note that picking 2 keepers from the same round costs you a round earlier, so you won't be able to keep both Brady and Beckham (but you could keep either 1 of them in the 1st round if you wanted to).

Couple of minor scoring changes:

He'll no doubt get suspended regardless of whether he's actually charged or not, but you've got to imagine the Bills get someone in to play - Orleans Darkwa is still out there, as is Eddie Lacy if he's still playing, Thomas Rawls & Christine Michael are probably going to get cut (:vomit:), and I'd put them as a potential trade candidate for Ameer Abdullah, Jeremy Hill or one of the young guys in Oakland.

Obviously that's a list that hardly inspires confidence but I'd be interested in Abdullah at least, and Darkwa would probably do to split with Ivory if it came to it.

Zeke got suspended without the police charging him with it, but this one is slightly different. If you believe what the woman has said, Shady hired someone to beat her up and rob her. I don't expect this to be settled until next season to be fair.

I had Abdullah but I traded him for Devante Adams... can't say I regret it even if he becomes a featured back in Buffalo.

If I were to cut Ivory on Tuesday I'd probably be looking at adding Booker or Carson, both of which are currently being tipped as starters, unless they are waiver claimed by the Freeman/Penny owners.

Pickup Kenneth Dixon.

It's finally going to be his year.

Browning
22-07-2018, 10:47 PM
I actually drafted Dixon in this league, but much like Kevin White, I couldn't hold him when I got multiple injuries.

He's 3rd on the depth chart though...

Sir Andy Mahowry
22-07-2018, 10:50 PM
There's no such thing as a depth chart at this stage but that probably is right.

Collins deserves to have the first crack at being the lead back and Buck Allen is our receiving type guy.

If Collins gets injured though, it would be Dixon taking the lead as Buck can't do that role.

I look forward to someone taking Dixon early just to annoy Mahow.

Would either of you be interested in joining?

Make it a community team - autodraft the roster then everyone except the team they’re playing votes on who to start that week.

I can see no possible way that would turn into a clusterfuck.

Any thoughts on whether I should do this, or stick with Ivory? No claims went through today so Free Agency is open.

I personally think no action will be taken this season, but carry over to next. I'd pick up Booker if it were me.

Browning

I started to agree with that, so I cut him, but I grabbed Carson. I think he looked better than Booker when he had his chances last year. I'm not convinced though. I would like to add both, but don't have anyone else to drop.

Been doing some more drafting in anticipation of my work draft next week. As there's no keepers or PPR I'll share for discussions sake. I pick at #9 and I know a fair bit about some of the other picks that will be made.

1. Gurley(He has announced this pretty much as no one can stop him anyway)
2. Zeke(has also stated he prefers Zeke due to Bell potentially holding out)
3. Bell
4. ???(this guy is new and I've no idea how much he knows. I'll pencil David Johnson if he does homework)
5. Barkley/Beckham(Giants fan who wants a Giants star. He'll take either one that's here)
6. Brown
7. Hopkins(She picked Ajayi R1 last year, but I'll say she's learned her lesson here)
8. ???(new guy again. I have Kamara pencilled in here as I know he is at least slightly knowledgeable)
9. Me
10. Big Fournette Fan

Best case scenario here, I'm looking at Hopkins falling to me through stupidity. But on average I'm looking at something along the lines of Hunt/Gordon/Fournette as an RB1, with Julio being there as a R1 candidate.

I do know though that should I not take Fournette here he will go the next pick. This is a 3 WR starting league, but even so I have 2 options. I can go:

RB-RB. If I did this, I would come out with a very strong starting RB corps, but my WR1 if the draft goes normally would be looking like Thielen or Hilton. Not horrific as such. But the WR corps suffers slightly.

WR-RB. I'm assuming here that should I choose a WR, the guy at #10 takes Fournette. I also think he'll split and take a WR straight after. Therefore I could still get my choice of RB back again. I could swap and go RB first, but then he'd likely get a better WR out of it.

I think WR-WR would leave me too weak at RB in R3.

Dan
24-07-2018, 09:12 PM
I think you've got to take at least one RB in the first two rounds, and picking at the back end of a 10 team draft seems pretty good this year as there always seems to be an elite WR/RB at the end of R1 for you to grab, and a very good RB/WR that will make it back to you in the second, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just take the best guy who falls to you & go from there.

I would say, though, that I'm definitely in agreement that you need at least one RB in the first couple of picks since they're all vanishing at an absurd rate this year. I've seen a decent number of people saying the top ten picks should be Brown & 9 RBs, with Brown slotting in around 7 or 8 after the big four, Kamara & Saquon/other favourite :cab:

Browning
24-07-2018, 09:22 PM
Grab Fournette and then trade him for the 2 guys that number 10 took (assuming they're not Danny Amendola and Charles Clay).

This is the main thing on my mind. The amount of reliable RB options seems to have declined slightly. Add that to the monstrosity of what Gurley did in Fantasy Play-offs last season contributes to people going RB mad. 2 years ago almost all drafts started with Brown at #1, so people split between RB and WR quite well. Now it's as you say. 9 to 1 or maybe 8 to 2 if Hopkins/Julio sneaks in there.

It's making me consider the double RB a whole lot more than I usually would.

Isn't Barkley stupidly high for a rookie?

He's a generational talent, combined with NY having 0 run game for years now, he has the talent and opportunity. Whether he has the o-line is another story, but he is good enough to make it work either way.

The Giants will absolutely love to hand him the rock 20-25 times a game. He gets a chance to shine and players like Beckham jr. and Engram become a bit more open. The whole offence should improve drastically.

Browning
24-07-2018, 10:59 PM
The only problem with stacking up on RBs early is there are so many viable ones this year. A lot of the mocks I've done I've found myself taking my RB5 before my WR3 or whatever because they are considerably better options than whatever WR is left. I wouldn't be inclined to go RB/RB in your draft position, unless 2 absolute studs fell. Even then, there will be plenty of WR studs left and I doubt I'd pass on one.

Ultimately think you have to plan to go RB/WR or WR/RB. If you think the guy at 10 is sold on Fournette and Fournette isn't the best RB left when it comes to you, take a WR, let him take Fournette, and get your RB on the way back.

Dan

I think WR is loaded in the later rounds this year. Fuckloads of QBs too, so even I might actually end up with an alright one this year!

Not sure I’m convinced Saquon is going to live up to the hype. He’s amazing, but everyone’s assuming he’s going to run for 85000 yards behind a shit O-Line on a pass first team when he’s known for being an average between the tackles runner who can dance about & lose five yards a handful of times a game. He’s not getting 100 targets either in that offence, so the fact people are drafting him at #5 overall is insane to me.

This was what was leaning me towards RB-RB. A hell of a lot of depth for your WR 2/3 this time around.

Browning
26-07-2018, 06:05 PM
According to FP, the top 100 players contains 41 WRs and 39 RBs in standard scoring. When you factor in the fact that most leagues require you to start more WRs than RBs it is a complete myth that the position is deeper than RB this year.

In PPR is improves to 44 WRs and 36 RBs, but even that makes RBs plentiful if you only need to start 2.

Dan
26-07-2018, 06:50 PM
That's only the top 100 though - there are probably another 20 further down who have potential to be a WR2/3, whereas with RBs once you get outside the main group it's just second guys in committees & guys who need an injury to have any value. And Isaiah Crowell.

Point is if you’re going into round 11-12 looking for your WR2 you’re doing it wrong.

Dan
27-07-2018, 12:14 PM
No, but they finished as starters. Anyway, the point is there are far more WRs available outside the top 100 who could turn out to be WR3s with WR2 upside than there are RBs who could do the same.

I’d rather stack up on the valuable RBs & take 3-4 shots at finding a good receiver late than take mostly WRs & have to scramble for the three decent backup running backs that are left over.

In the end though, nobody knows & we’ll probably end up dumping half the late rounders for waiver wire guys by week 4 anyway so it’s probably not worth thinking about too hard :D

Baz
27-07-2018, 05:59 PM
Still no ideas for a tenth player? I’d be happy to give Bruh another shot, so long as he promises not to tantrum off again.

Also if everyone could [honestly] declare their keepers now that’s be great ta. :flirt: Thielen (11) & McKinnon (18) for me.

Dan
27-07-2018, 06:05 PM
You can pretty much figure out most of the keepers just by looking at the rosters, but there’s no way anyone’s locking in until the last possible minute given the chance for injury in preseason.

Browning
27-07-2018, 06:09 PM
To be fair I would allow people to change up until the deadline so it doesn’t hurt to lock them in, but either way is fine. Mine basically picked themselves.

Dan
27-07-2018, 06:41 PM

Nah community team sucks cos they’ll just take whoever’s top of the pile (like when Bruh didn’t attend the draft) killing all hopes of “hopefully X is still available when it comes back round to me” and end up with an ace team.

This is true. The main problem with Autodraft teams is they select Kickers and DSTs way too early.

They really should have sorted it so you can tell the autodraft what order to take positions in as well as players by this stage.

Fantasy Pros removing the option to edit picks in a Mock is really fucking annoying. It stops me from simulating what I think will happen in my leagues.

In my main league I have pick 5 (out of 8) but I had Gurley locked in as my 3rd round keeper. I'm almost certain Zeke (round 3) and Johnson (Round 1, pick 8) will also be keepers so that's 3 of the elite RBs gone. I can only assume Bell goes pick 1. I think from there my nightmare scenario would be the other 3 taking Brown, Beckham and Hopkins. If any of those 3 fall I'll take them, but if they all go... it'll be a coin flip between Aaron Rodgers and Alvin Kamara (it's a 2QB, so Rodgers always goes in round 1).

That said, one of the 4 drafting before me has gone QB/QB in each of the last 2 seasons, so him taking Rodgers seems almost nailed on.

I just came on here to complain about this. They've slowly moved features behind the paywall all off-season.

You can use SleeperBot. You can mock on that, invite friends into the mock lobby and you can edit the picks too. All for free.
