If you look at the graphic of the whole team in the menu, Tevez is a perfect separator. Everything before him seems intended. In fact I have all but Kessler, Cordoba and Zambrotta. Everything the other side of him is going straight into your team. I have only Bobby Carlos from that lot.

None of todays 85+ x 5 had a special in them but finally finished recycling everything over from them and in my final PP got a Pirlo. Card just looks delightful, shame Italy are shite these days though. Club looking a bit more bare gold wise, but untradeable rewards tomorrow should pile 50odd+ 83 and up cards back into the club.

These PPs are about okay in what they give out, but the cost of them just makes sending 89s and 88s into exchange oblivion make little sense unless you get a big lucky pull.

Did a little run of PPs and Xavi came out so decided to dump him into the GOTG pack as I'm waiting before bothering to commit to either Cafu or Rooney. Then they got me twice.
First one of the packs from doing the GOTG SBC popped an Icon with a Dutch flag. Fuck you Frank. Then the pack itself, I just wanted to avoid the Heroes. I did and got an Italian flag. CB too, so I was chuffed with Maldini right until he walked out and was a lot shorter and balder than I remembered. Fuck you Fabio.

Did the recycling of rewards into the 85+ x 5 and the 85+ picks and have ended up with a fair amount of 88s and 89s but more annoyingly a dupe Trez and dupe Zanetti. Part of me is just tempted to exchange them in the 89 exchange but that would feel like a waste.

Problem is there just nothing really to put them into. The two SBC Heroes are a bit crap, expensive and pointless. The ladies SBCs look like decent cards but with what I have already and whats been pulled over this promo, none of them are ever seeing my team.

Just kind of leaves Cafu or Rooney now. Problem is I can't do a final send without dealing with those two. I could gulag both, but I'm sure I'll come back across at least Trez again and starting the new 30 days off 2 slots down already isn't ideal when we are coming to everything in packs before long.

Looking at both potential Icon cards, Rooney looks to me the better choice. He's slightly cheaper and looks like he'd be more likely to improve a team(he'd be straight in mine, while Cafu is a doubt on that front)

Now 4 of the squads are only the shit ones, so he's 'only' really 14. Those 92 squads are a killer though. I was bored and being sad decided to see how many high value cards an SBC like this would take, based on the cheapest way according to FUTBIN.

You'll need 4 x 94s. 12 x 93s. 8 x 92s. 18 x 91s and 6 x 90.

Checking through my YEET list, I cover off fine until we get to the 91s. Now most of the golds you need for high end SBCs these days are 86-88 rated, so they shouldnt be too hard to get, especially with the return of the 82+ PP. However the(small) chance for these top tier Icons is gone after 6pm tomorrow and there's still a couple of relatively packable ones I'd like to still try to get.

I'll see what SBCs are likely to drop for what looks like just a mini release for P2G again, but this would likely gut my club to do. The way I'm looking at it is by nation. If we've had their challenge WL then they're fair game. But then for example I've a fair few 95+ rated Spaniards who I can't dump out yet even though they gather dust.

I couldnt keep gulaging them so decided on the Dutch woman and then the Icon pick. It gave me back 91 Xavi, 95 Nedved and 94 Abily. Xavi pointless as I have the 94 but at least the other two werent dupes. I still have a Zanetti and a Trez in the gulag that can come back tomorrow, but I think I'm done now. Has anyone done a run of these yet? They're 1 rare gold cheaper so I could maybe see the appeal there. With all 3 cards being 80+ it should be better value, as long as one of the cards are at least rated 81. I reckon it'll be better for 82-85s but much worse above that. As you say though it cuts out some players you could pack.

Team Brazil into the WL and sit 6-4. Defensively extremely suspect. I also cannot get on with this 95 Richarlison at all. However I've lost 3 of those 4 games having scored 5 goals in each. Problem I find is all of the midfield and forwards are kinda skinny, minus Richarlison. They're being bullied off the ball and can't push people off the ball when they have it.

If I went 6-4 through the next 10 I'd get Gomez but I'm not sure I can with the current set up. Feels very tough to stop people scoring. I've been bullied by the new Wout at least twice too.

I think the sweet spot is between 6'2 and 6'5 with aerial+. Anything taller than that, and your dont seem to get the leap. In pro clubs
When you make your build taller than 6'4, you cant get max jumping stats. Maybe the same rules apply in FUT even if it says you have 99 jumping

Got in from work to everyone in bed so decided to finish off champs. In came Casemiro, a bought TOTS Savio and brought in Bobby Firmino moments to replace Richarlison.

Sudden and immediate uptick in performance. I went from 6-4 to 12-4 without breaking a sweat. I then switched in the main team and won the next two with ease. Greaseman is filthy. Then came a loss in what was perhaps the most epic game I've played of this. End to end attacking from both. Constant lead changes and a 6-5 loss at the death. I won the next 3 to take me to the last game for 16 wins but just couldn't get it done. It was a close game but in truth my opponent deserved it.

Not a single special card from any pick or pack from both champs and the Brazil objectives. Red picks gave me the usual Di Maria, Stanway and Golovin nonsense in the first pick, though replace Di Maria with Musiala in the 2nd one and that's a big help for next week. TOTS 3 pack got me Rice, Debinha and Koulibaly.

All in all that's probably the best mini session of this or any version of this I think I've played. I just wish I could play like that all of the time.

That 95 Casemiro when fully defender evo'd up is amazing as a stay back CDM. He has the bulk to bully people and has PS+ for Block, Bruiser and Intercept.

Meanwhile Richarlison has already gone into the Jota SBC.

I put Dino arms in goal to test him as it's been a few weeks and a few rating bumps since I used him last. Iker will return. Just Weah feels a little off from the starters. Had to try him out. Elsewhere, Silva will be replaced by Jota/Guler and then I think the team is set barring any big SBCs/pulls. Also depends on how good this 95 Bisseck is going to feel.

I do find myself tempted by Cafu, with fodder decreasing in price he's lost 400k worth to complete him. There's still 5 days to get him too. Though it's still so pricey that it just seems wrong to do.

Strange that one. I had to double take in the menus because he wasn't there when I signed in. Looks good, but will be a bitch to link. No doubt thats why he's cheap.

Took my team from above and dropped out Weah and Silva for Stanisic and Barcola respectively. The game immediately gave me Jesus Navas twice in 15 minutes, so maybe they really dont want me to use him, but that extra height on Stanisic comes in very handy. Barcola feels lovely on the ball as ever.
After a few games I ended up putting Pedri back in the bench for De Paul. He just feels so much more solid in the tackle. Going forwards both are very good indeed. Pedri just got dinged up to 5/5* as I type this so maybe I should revisit.

The great WL form continued. I think I was around 820 skill rating and have moved up to 917. Even held my own for about 75 mins against a player that would turn out to be over 1k rating. I've even managed to get Bisseck on late in games to kick his evo along.

Ticked off Gallagher and the last of Jota and then opted for the MYM/P2G pick. A few Liverpool players in it but no dice for me. My choice was Almiron, J. David or Theate. Davids card is quite nice but I've just seen Messi stick a 2nd in against Canada so no further upgrades coming.

Club is now empty of all golds above 84, but for one Neymar. I keep hold of him usually in case he finally fits in some monster evo, but there's temptation to exchange him and start the PPs over again.

Colombia currently winning but down to 10 men for the 2nd half. If they win Diaz gets a +1 or bumped up to 5* skills. The +1 is much more useful to me as I don't do skills, but I think they've made every card in that position 5/5 now.

96 Dybala from the blue pick is nice. Will put him in and try him. The packs and picks from recycling have built the club back up nicely, though I'm now sat on a dupe TOTS Pellegrini. Of the players I've not done there is Wout, but I can't believe he's going to offer anything I don't already get from Nunez or Haaland. There is also Rooney, but I don't see what he offers really that Puskas doesn't. They seem very similar types of card now.

Lisandro Martinez looks very good stats and playstyle wise, but then he is only 5"9. In a world where everyone has a Haaland, Wout, CR7 etc, he is going to struggle.

I'm assuming that the FUTTIES Premium cards will have some kind of chemistry boost? Or else what's the difference. I want to deal with that dupe and crack on with grinding PPs now though. Nobody seems to have anything down as coming in packs from tomorrow either yet which is odd. Unless we're getting the best ofs, but that seems a tad early.

Hopped into Rivals to get the 7 wins and also see if I could climb out of Div 1 again. Tough sledding in there right now. But then all the former Elite div players are in there with no skill rating to balance match ups. You might win 2 games easily then get absolutely spanked.

I've climbed above the only checkpoint now so that's a relief. Tried Dybala, he's alright. Would have felt amazing a month or two ago I bet. Put Gerrard in and I've scored about 3 where the opponent was just backing off to cut the pass off, so I power shot into the top corner from 30 yards. Amazing feeling. He's not as clunky as I thought and I don't even have an Engine on him atm. His extra strength and racoon+ are also really helpful in there.

Bisseck is fully evo'd up to 95 now and is quite lol. He has 5 goals in the 10 games I've played with him. Those people who don't move to block him when I select him from a corner, are doomed. Because of Bisseck, Goe Jomez is at RB and is just fine there. Though I've been testing out a 4-3-3(5) with balanced LB/RB and when I bring on Navas there as a sub he feels great. Obviously there's trade offs between the two.

Might leave it a few days now before venturing back in. I don't think I'll be doing the WL objective this time either. Doing it to 4 wins maybe makes sense. Beyond that it becomes vastly diminishing returns.

9-1 qualy run with Team Germany. Played some silly football between Kimmich and Musiala. Undav feels great and Gomez surprisingly nimble. I have Gross as an attacking RB and he has caught people out who were just expecting the pass, by shooting and scoring with him instead. Bisseck remains a monster and is shutting down your would be corner tactics. The only one I haven't figured out is this one where they take it short and manufacture a cross into the back post. He and the new Rudiger make a great partnership. Mittlestadt the LB is pretty decent too.

The only real hole in the team is my 2nd/3rd CM. I have a 93 evo'd Goretzka, but he feels a little clunky. I may buy the 95 Moments one, but I do still have a 20 game loan on the UCL Kroos, so it is likely going to be him.

I think the bigger miss with him is not even basic Intercept. They seem to have set him up more as a DLP than as a destroyer. The three PS+ he has for passing all combine to make him and his 5* WF silly.

Holy crap this Enzo card. He can literally play anywhere on the pitch. Like Sincere though I feel that addition of Press Proven+ is mega for any card you intend to do serious dribbling with. He gets me out of bother so much.

If I get Rodri in, having him sat in a midfield 3 behind the two 99 rated Argies, with 99 Pedri on the bench should be very silly.

That said, all of their behaviour thus far would not leave me surprised if FUTTIES is watered down a bit this year in order to leave room for more in August to try and keep people hanging on.

Current promo is a bit shit, but most cards are still in the 95-97 range. SBCs are a good indicator of where they're at usually and they are currently releasing at a 97 rating. I reckon we see a jump up again, but all 99 rated cards still a few weeks out.

What I will say about having started this in I think May is, it has made me realise how almost pointless the first I think 5 months of the game are. Go back even 3/4 weeks and look how much your teams have improved/turned over since. Other than TOTY prep, all that pre-January struggle seems very daft come this time of year.
