Just ticked off the last of Rienier. Getting the last bit done has 2 advantages. 1 it gives me a good card to use and 2, frees up a "free" 85 rated for fodder purposes. Cucurella much the same. I am on the last challenge of his now. The 87 looks decent also. With a shadow he makes an extremely good box-to-box midfielder.

I'll be getting the highest Virgin package of ~650mbps. I also want the router next to my PC/PS5 desk. The current position is in the middle of the hall floor. The BT guy who installed it said they were only allowed to come in to set it up and then leave because of COVID. And that's the only place where both the DSL cable and power cable could reach.

I've been tempted to stream my WL in the past so maybe this will allow it.

Was doing some Icon Swap objectives in Ligue 1 and La Liga.

Went 2-1 up early against someone and he put his controller down. I made it 4-1 and put mine down only to realise that he had picked his back up almost instantly and made it 4-2. I then scored from kick off and down went his controller again.

I then made it 9-2 and put mine down again only for him to pick his up again with 15 game minutes left. He didn't manage the 8 needed to win, or even 1 as I was ready for him.

This whole "giving up" but playing when they think you've wondered off really is the worst behaviour in the cesspit that is the FIFA community.

He looks a very interesting card. His WRs are right and his passing is all 90+. 4*/4* is a nice touch though my guess is he'll feel a little clunky with that balance and agility. Should be a pretty good holding CDM. I'm not sure he makes me team but if I switch it up he could help with links in the future.

Currently sitting on 1.2m coins after selling Odegaard and Neymar but not sure where/how to improve my first team. Currently it's this (https://www.futbin.com/21/squad/6683887). Usually play 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 in-game.

I'm tempted to bring in TOTY Davies (really want to try him and I have Boateng) or Roberto Carlos. Defence is the weakest area, obviously. I'm not crazy about Desailly (think he makes a better CB than CDM) but I need him there for links. Ronaldo, Messi, Desailly and Mbappe are tradeable.

@Raoul You're probably a little shy of being able to bring Davies in. You'd also need to swap Oblak for Ter Stegen to keep the chemistry on Kounde/Varane at RCB.

Boateng is begging to grate on me a little. I get that his acceleration is lower, but you can really feel it when he has to turn and chase an attacker. I do like to play a higher pressing style so that doesn't really help.

I've began the dumping of fodder into Messi. That's the 2 of his smallest squads done for no cost. FUTIN estimates this to be 280k ish of the 2m shaved off.

I got Vardy from the pack for the 2nd squad. I do also have the stuff in the club to do the 86 squad, but you're then looking into starting to use objective cards. If I use those I could tag off the 88 squad now even. But that would be a proper club clearout.

The first 2 have been "free" thanks to those 81+ picks and the milestone packs. I can probably do one more squad before proper commitment is required. Though I think I can currently do all bar the 89. Though that'd leave me with 0 coins and the club empty.

So yeah, Neymar is pretty good.

I've only played one WL game so far, and Neymar is actually operating as a supersub, as I can't fit him in this weekend in the starting XI. However, he's made a pretty damn good impact already.

I was 4-1 down inside 20 minutes and my opponent paused for me, expecting a rage quit. He then scored instantly off my kick-off, and I was very close to bailing out. However, I stuck it out and pulled it back to 5-4 with 20 mins to go, with Neymar off the bench and he managed to do this:

Now I've been keeping an eye on the Messi SBC and the price of the 89 squad has fallen by near 100k since his release. That's a promising sign for me, but I'm still currently not in the clearest position to get him completed. I'll likely have to tick off the Gouendouzi and Benedetto cards to add them in as well for some extra help.

I was only deemed worthy of the lesser pack for time played so nothing of note from it for me.

The path to Messi has also become a bit more clear. I've ticked off the 86 squad now so I'm halfway done, but have the 89, 88 and 85 IF squad left. I only needed to buy 1 Immobile to get to this point, for the last squad and I ended up getting back 2 x discard IF in the pack along with some pretty decent silvers. I've also yet to use anything I'll remotely miss putting in.
I'm obviously minus some fodder, but in terms of coins I'm actually still in profit from doing this so far. Obviously with the 2 squads ahead that should soon change.

I can tick one of the two big boys off with just objective and SBC cards I just don't use now. Though now we do get into the realms of losing something I may miss. The idea for now is to do this and then buy the other squad with coins. Currently I've 210k and that will be up hopefully close to 350k after rewards day.
The 85 squad should take care of itself in time. Any high rated reds or pack pulls of 84/85 are going into that SBC.

I've yet to hit that point of no return where I'm committed to doing the full thing, but it's close now. The 81+ double upgrades keep churning back 81s and 82s at me which has slowed progress a little, but that 89 SBC is currently 610k. So being over halfway there soon is good motivation. I would hope for some 87+ pulls though. There's 1 or 2 special cards currently as placeholders in the top squad I'd really rather not use, but I will if I really have to.

Nothing to shout about with the rewards. Kaderabek and Shaw as my reds. 100k pack number 1 showed me a walkout but it was a fraud one and was De Vrij. Everything else was 82 rated or lower. Yuck. Pack 2 was better. Another walkout, but it ended up being Pique. Behind him were Bonnuci and Gnabry though so that's not so bad.

Even though I have had no luck from the upgrades I chucked the shite through them. Ended up with a Witsel which along with the earlier pulls, completes the 85 + IF, though for now I could ideally use another 86 to not use that special Dos Santos card.
I also had 9 or so useless 82s, so they went into the 83+ and out walks Jan Oblak. Massive help towards the top squad. I now could actually submit that one too, but that is packed full of special and objective cards. Some of which I'd like to give a go at saving.

I've 320k to back that up so in theory I am almost there. Though I doubt it happens this week.

Finally won the Premier League on PES 2021. The first time I've taken the top flight since 2013, I think. 85 points was 'all' it took with Spurs and Arsenal breathing down my neck. I did have an 8 point lead but the game really likes to rein you in. Key players go missing in matches, and THE TIDE TURNS, etc. Luckily, Callum Wilson being shite just allowed Joelinton to smash them in when it mattered.

Team Stats
We've scored the most (21) and conceded the most (9) in the last 15 minutes of games. That wasn't much of a stat until the last third of the season when matches really shat the bed. Case in point, a match against Reading: They score in the 89th minute, Joelinton comes on and scores in the 90th and 93rd. Scenes.

Balls over the top often found us out and our high defensively line meant we were vulnerable to through balls. At the other end, he tended to pass most of ours in.

Hayden and Lascalles put the most tackles in and the latter got his head to almost everything this season.

Verdict on Transfers
Ansu Fati livened up the front three but he only managed a couple of goals. I mainly brought him in to match ASM's pace. Dante still feels dodgy. At best, he's like Philippe Albert in how he can bomb forward from the defence, unfortunately, it leads to him being an undisciplined nightmare. Schubert's great cover for Dubravka. Nothing spectacular and I've got Subasic as a third choice. Hendrichs seems decent at right-back but he runs himself into death inside an hour. Eddie Nketiah still hasn't really found a spot. He's not prolific enough to challenge the strikers and not direct enough to bother the wingers. Ander Herrara's yet to trouble the Longstaffs.

That's the biggest thing to note about how the season went. Fatigue went into overdrive and the usual suspects out wide and Shelvey were always the first to check out. Seems fitting, given that I cloned Liverpool's tactics. Also, Arsenal were really shit in the run-in. Our late wobble opened the door for them and they matched our results for a couple of games. It went down to the final game but we smashed Leeds 4-0. Our biggest unbeaten run was 14 games but we began the season with a run of 13. It's kind of depressing that it was just enough to win it.

Who's Where?
I'm skimming through the teams now to see if the game's thrown in some quality transfers. Presume some of these are regens.

- Burnley has Mikhail Antonio and Jack Cork.

Ibrahimovic is still going strong in AC Milan at 42. I've just noticed Firmino's at Barca as well. Buffon's still going at Juventus. I'll admit, seeing players into their 40s in this seems wrong.

Makes me very :| seeing that squad. You might want to consider holding on for a little longer and see if the WI cards in there get a boost? Might save you one or two. I'd imagine w'll get some more objectives tonight too, and can't be that far away from Level 30 in the Season.

I only got a chance to play one game with Schmeichel yesterday and he seemed good. I honestly don't think there's all that much in most 87+ keepers, but I mainly got him for sentimental reasons and the fact I had some untradeable dupes to shift so just needed to pick up about 70k worth of Serie A shitters to fill out the gaps.

TOTY Davies is still hovering at 1.5m coins which means I need to raise 500k in order to pick him up.

In come Cuccarella, Berciche, Wright and Armstrong.

Lines up 41212 in game, Robben to left wing, Armstrong on the right, Cuccarella CAM and Wright/Rooney up top.

That Cucarella is awesome at CAM. Berciche’s stamina issues make him the weakest I’ve brought in, though he’s pretty good all round, and necessary for the strong link. Goes off just after half time for Dest. Wrighty is grand, but doesn’t feel like a 800k player in honesty. Armstrong is as good as Fati was at RM before him and will be great with an upgrade. Did I mention Cucarella is bloody incredible?

Could do with an upgrade at GK but again, the strong link is needed.

Yeh. I wanted him last year but entered the game a month before TOTS so he was just too far behind with not having a moments card. This year, fuck aye.

In fairness, he’s definitely a great card, but really just about on a par with base Mbappe, maybe a tad underpowered due to his size, so it’s not an 800k card. Having great fun with him, mind. 12/11/2 at the moment, in a 3 man front line and where my wingers chip in plenty too.

I’m really enjoying the changes to the team this weekend. Cucarella’s high def means I can also slot him back into a CM/CDM slot as needs arise in game, and he’s just wonderfully balanced all round. He’s only scored 6 in my 15 games but has 15 assists to go with it. Wright on the other hand I’ve really got the hang of scoring with now - his movement is just what it should be, and he’s on 18 in 15 (all Fut Champs).

Playing some good stuff and got myself sat at 10-5, handing out 6-0, 7-1 and 11-1 hammerings in my last three. Annoyingly 2 Penalty losses in there and none of the losses were by more than a goal, 2 of them due to late capitulations to 424/team press which is always a weakness of mine.

It's annoying as I would like to keep Mbabu and especially El Shaarawy in there, but that does work. Ter Stegen becoming Neuer has everyone on 10 bar Jones. I was using Mbabu over Yuri as even though it's reduced chemistry, I just prefer the pace and strength the former offers.

Essentially I'd love to have CR7, Messi, El Sha, Jones and Deco in the team. Getting that done is much easier said than done it seems.

De Sciglio from level 30 also slots in at left back and sorts that side out, but then I'd have to switch over Cannavaro, causing Tav to drop to 7.

Why can't I just use the players I like ffs.

My concern is the attack becomes stripped of out and out pace with this. El Sha and Salah who are currently in the starting XI both have that and it does help.
