If I could get that 86 Liga Nos Brazilian CAM to play left wing I’d be very happy but probably left too late to get to that level.

Played a few games this evening with the new team and it feels pretty nice. Not quite sure whether to play Beckham or Atal at right CAM (in a 4-2-2-2). Atal's stamina is a bit of a problem - at 81 it's not quite good enough to play there but Beckham doesn't have the skills to beat a man.

Ronaldo has been great so far too - I think every game he's got a goal that my previous strikers just wouldn't have scored, be it a header from a corner or a run and finish from a bonkers angle.

I went 10/10 after deliberately losing the first 5 games. I read somewhere that skill based match making comes into it if you’re doing shit and it 100% does. Every game after the initial 5 games were absolute bots who were playing as if they were stoned. Every time I won a couple games in a row the 3rd game was a sweat demon.

Understandable. The qualification is a double edged sword, I guess. I see it as shifting my first ten WL games to the week, which means not having to fit 20 games a weekend into having a life. Massive positive for me, but I have seen lots of 'I can't get into WL this year even though I'm D3' on Twitter/Reddit whilst I've been away.

The more I play the more I agree with this Futon feature:

As we start to see the lasting effects of the latest patches I think it is safe to say that we would all like FIFA 22 back in its original form. Yes the keepers were superhuman at close range, yes the keepers turned to mush when the ball was struck from distance, yes certain cards seemed to have out of this world abilities, but … the game was predictable, the game was manageable and most of all, the game was fun. At this stage, it appears that once again the gameplay is slightly moving in the wrong direction and certainly the return of a more drop-back-through-ball meta has emerged in spades.

Managed to finish off both Osimhen and Defrel in about 2 hours last night. The little packs you get back from each objective have been fairly kind to me too, some 83s and 84s, plus a couple of walkouts in Muller and Mahrez. I'm looking to do a few SBCs, Chong and maybe the Japanese duo.

I had Keita Balde and Muriel up front and they cut open the lower rated CBs constantly. Used Barella in CM as my highest rated player and he felt brilliant to use. Most people were quitting after I got 1 or 2-0 up which definitely helped.

Obviously, I'm being a bit hyperbolic, but the issue I have with the FBs set to stay back + 2 x DM or CM with stay back is that it's just such a negative mindset to limit the degree to which you might fall behind rather than amp up what might put you ahead. And there's no doubt the game is much more fun when it's flowing, without 9 players in the defending teams boxes.

Generally concede a couple but very rarely don't score 4+ in Rivals. My results last night were 4-0, 6-1 and 8-3.
In Champs it's a bit more varied - I've been rank 2 any week that I've played the full allocation, rank 3 at a breeze if I don't, so I'm definitely winning more than losing, but it's a tighter affair, given folks are so sweaty. Every now and then there's a blow out too.

I will say, I'm now at depth 45 for both my 4-1-2-1-2 wide defensive and attacking tactics (I don't use neutral), which is the lowest I've ever played in FUT (Ultra Def excluded). But neither are drop back, and there's only one stay back order in the attacking set up, which I default to in minute 1, and the defensive just asks the full backs to stop overlapping.

Yeh I find with the 4-1-2-1-2 and only three players on def duty, you need the extra few yards to defend the through ball counter vs the 8 defensive duty players that leave 2/3 up top and just ping through balls.

I have Gravenberch, Kudus, Til and Sangare are CM options (Sangare as CB right now). Van Ginkel looks too similar to Grav for me so I am not sure I need him. I could sell Grav and make some serious profit for price (I paid like 17k) but I am not desperate for cash.


Lincoln
Looking like the most logical choice for me right now. Looks like a fun card in general and would slot right in. 3 of my front 4 are set (IF Everton, RB Corona and Banza), Lincoln would slot right in either moving out right to move Corona central or staying CAM if it works.

I think you can keep the hand on the stick, probably best to let go of sprint but you have to hold the right stick, not flick. I always mess it up as the ball roll isnt one I have ingrained in my game.
