Managed to 3/3 the prem cup and got a blue Trent out of the 84+ pick, to go with my red Trent. I've got some nice fodder building up now and I reckon I could quite easily do Kane without spending anything.
That Foden could be a game changer depending on how they rate him. Lean body type at 5"7. If they juice him to a 93/94 he'll be great, but get him to 96+ and he'll be nuts. His TOTYHM card looks very usable even now.

I've had a couple of dupe Rodris so ended up doing Kane and I've him finished for free. I figured of he and Foden, Kane was the one I needed most. I'll see later what the EPL TOTS Guarantee brings, but there's a very high chance of a dupe. I've got 7/15 of the team already.
The one that would help me most, assuming there's no forwards, would be Cancelo.

He's great if you play him as a 3 man midfield, or in a 2 with a Kante/Lahm/Vieira type sweeping up as the other.

I mainly play 4-2-2-2 with one of the forwards set to drop off and I've been using Alli as that player and it's great. Amazing strength to hold the play up, perfect passing almost and you can aim corners at him as he wins everything in the air.

I've gone through 175-ish packs this week, admittedly about 60 have been single rare player packs, but I haven't got a single TOTS. And that's not to mention the endless recycling of dupes into the various player picks. Fuming.

And just as you say that I came in here to say I'm now stuck. I managed to dump dupe Rodri into the 50th Nkunku POTM and recycling the resultant non/rares brought me another dupe Rice.

There's pretty much nothing out there I want to put him into. Foden seems the obvious choice, but not only is he madly overpriced, I have Bernardo Silva(x 2) who is much better in everything bar pace.
Beyond that there's the Icons, but given the recent upgrades to the team, none of them are any better than what I already have.

So that could be me done for prem TOTS. A shame to not see anyone of the big 6/7. Though to be expected. My only dilemma really is do I start sinking coins into player picks, or do I accept defeat and move on.

Also Muller may be a great investment atm. He's cheap as an 87 gets right now if you can get him ~15k and he's in the TOTS according to leakers. Had my Kroos sold any better I'd be getting onto that.

When facing one I do the thing I saw Harry mention a while back. If you want to dive right take one step left then dive right. I means you wont save the very good ones but sort of covers the middle and the imperfect ones to the right.

Witsel looks very good, but there's not much to link him into as there's no other Belgians in the team and the only other Dortmund midfielder is mega money.

The prem TOTS really upgraded my defence to the point where I don't really need to bother touching it as they all link together. So as such I was hoping for good wingers/forwards here. Unfortunately there seems to be no real middle ground between mega cards and meh ones here.

Seems those prices do ebb and flow, so I'm never sure of the best time to buy. Back over 1m coins now a few more Kroos go. Tends to be the odd one or two each time now, which is promising.

I think that Da Costa will depend which of the shitters are in the reds. Almost all rewards I've seen are a choice of Neuer, Schlotterbeck, Frimpong, Raum and Diaby. Ndicka has occasionally been in that rotation.
The reason I'm happy to stop at 11 this week is that getting anyone beyond that seems pretty much off the cards. There's only really the guys 95 and up I'd even think about making the team atm.

Bought Son and Messi and rolled into WL with them. It's hard to describe but both were good, without necessarily wowing individually. They just made the team better.

I got to 9-1 so I thought fuck it, plod on and was at 11 wins with 5 to go. Lost the first, but then won the next two, giving me two shots to hit the 14 wins mark. Unfortunately for me, matchmaking was not my friend and I got matched against two players who outclassed me. I was 3-0 down in both games inside 30 mins. No point prolonging the pain so I quit out.

The game however must have felt sorry for me.

It works okay, but the expected flaws are there really. Lahm and Kimmich is too lightweight when Gullit and Vieira types come to town. Ahead of that there's also a man that doesnt quite fit in somewhere. Wirtz might be a better fit in.

Other than that it depends what I get in the Bundesliga guarantee. Davies or one of the big forward types will likely see me spend to shift things about. One of the shitters or the inevitable dupe will be quite depressing.

Annoyingly they always make his base pace on his gold so low, that he only ever ends up around 92 speed. He's not the fastest IRL but you look at Hakimis' TOTY card and wonder why he can't get that treatment.

Diaby is quite silly. Has 7 goals and 3 assists from 10 games but he's only come off the bench after HT in all of those. There's fast, but he feels like another level of fast.

Currently I'm pondering what to do about Cancelo. Once you get the relevant chem styles on, he and Alphonso Davies are very comparable (https://www.futbin.com/22/compare/25467/25364?chem=sentinel,anchor&pchem=10,10&schem=100,100) and there's 700k difference in the price.

The current set up sees him essentially as my utility man. He ends up playing the spare position over from what everyone else is left. For a 1m coin card I feel like that's a bit much.
Now out of last years Bundes guarantee I did get Davies and if that happens again it's pretty much curtains for Cancelo. I expect some bobbins in it though.

Did the 84+ double and got Neuer and then took him into the Bundes cup. He saved my ass with some outstanding saves in the 3rd game. My opponent had an xG of 6.2 and he only scored 1.
Gave me 3/3, but unfortunately nothing from all of the resulting packs, bar the Saudi TOTS Keeper. I then took what I had and sent TOTS Griffo and Kostic into the SBCs for Gvardiol. Those are comfortably the two worst TOTS I've used so far and I never want to see either again.

What I did trial was bringing him off the bench as a main CDM and letting Kimmich get forward. It's been working amazingly well as he's just so big strong and fast. His only weakness is his shooting isn't amazing, but if you're starting him you could put like a Gladiator on him and it'll be grand.

As for the La Liga team, wow. Either prices are crazy, or people just didnt care about La Liga so the cards are rarer. If you get anyone not on the bench listed on FUTBIN you've done really well, because they all look amazing. Though I see a lot of De Thomas and Munain in everyones future.

The Icons are out for me for the TOTS Swaps. The EPL 1 of 3 also leaves you screwed if you dont get a good option in there because of the cost. Videos I've seen of openings also show it's just the red picks from that WL over again in terms of luck. I've not seen one without Rodri/Rice in it yet.

The 84x 25 looks great, but to get it and the EPL guarantee you need to buy the pack, which has gone up yet again to 100k. That's very steep.

Yeah if that's true, there's no point in playing online. There's 3 free tokens for playing and then 3 in the repeatable SBC. So you should only really need to pay for one entry at the end.

My luck has turned big time in those packs that state possible Main league/Shit league player. All 3 of the loan packs in the past two weeks have given me a useless shit leaguer and first last week and now this weeks Squad Battles red has given me one from the shit league too.

I'm back up to 13 TOTS Swap tokens. I believe we're due one last one(Liga NOS upgrade?) that isn't in the store pack and that will leave me a decision. Either I put all of my eggs into the 1 of 3 pick without spending anything more. Or I can see the 100k as an investment. There's the small chance of a TOTS in that pack but then there's a further chance in the 84+ pack. Even if nothing comes out of those, then I have the fodder to complete someone like Isco, or whatever else may come out in the meantime.

Still, I went and took my frustrations out on people in weekend league. Did an 8-2 Qualy run and then smacked people left right and centre and am 10-0 in finals. Played the best stuff I have really.

Very aware the final 10 games will be hell now, but I only need to win one.

I havent yet added anyone or done any SBCs from La Liga. I have an idea of using Spaniards to link in Isco, Fati and Canales in the triangle of doom in the 4-3-2-1, but then I need to make sure it's all balanced.
What I have done though is put in Sule, Da Costa, Diaby and Neuer into the starting 11. It doesnt feel right at times but it seems to be working.

Looking at that, I'm pretty sure the last option is probably the worst. There's always that chance your luck is in, but of the 40 odd Icons available in that pack, only a quarter of them are worth more than the best on offer.
Of the other two, I'm aware Best is the better player to have in game, but the other option could be better value overall. It's also hard to say no to Kenny as a Liverpool fan.

As I'm now done with the new bunch of La Liga guys I'll give a bit of a verdict as they don't seem to exist in packs.

RDT: Put every single one of these you get into an SBC. Terrible.
Munain: Great for the price. Not a big name but would use him again.
Militao(loan): Very fast and agile, but that lean body type does him few favours.
Acuna: Amazing, but suffers from Cancelo syndrome in that he can play anywhere on the park. I think best as a CDM.
Fekir: Good, but can feel heavy due to the body type. This does however sometimes let you muscle people off the ball. So it's a trade off.
Canales: He's the one I'd want as a CAM. Average height and lean body type don't lend him well to out and out defensive work, but having it that high on a CAM can be great if you do some pressing with him. His passing is close to perfect too.

I'd love to buy TOTS Salah, but then same problem as above. But for now I'm on the edge of the cost of some of the very top Meta cards.

Rivals rewards are changing from the start of S7. They'll include TOTW and TOTS in red picks, so that's meh. Speaking of Rivals, I'm not sure if to bother with rewards this week. I'd expected to have some more La Liga players in the club, but unless the end of this draft run pays off, then it looks like not. I might double dip on Ligue 1.

Base 99 reactions and composure. Great passing and physicals that mean a shadow is an obvious choice. Is tall as well.

So on the upgrade packs, having looked, the best way seems to be to chuck your rares into the Ligue 1 premium, which will then give you commons back to put into a pick. 2 chances with one pack essentially.

First one I opened, dupe Terrier. Not too bad, so he went into the 75+ x 10. Best from that was an 83...
A couple packs of nothing, then bang TOTS Payet. Recycling those then got me a TOTS Guendouzi from the a PP and then the very next upgrade pack gave me a heart attack:

Again I thought it was one of the other two. He went into completing flashback Verratti, which when done allowed me to go into GG Cup. Finally went 5/5. These felt like big upgrades to the Ligue 1 team.
In the resulting packs from that I got another Lafont, which I've had to quick sell for now. I don't think any of the Icons are worth doing and there's not much else to do.

What this does mean is I'll have to get very lucky from WL picks to get anything I don't already have. There's no chance anything north of Tchouameni shows up. As such I'm almost definitely playing to 11 wins. Made a start tonight and went to 6-0, but I've been absolutely robbed in two straight games, so I've stopped for now. The plan is 11 wins as said, but if there is a chance of 14, I don't want to blow it now.
I also had one guy come back from 2-0 down and then quit on me. Though best has 15 goals and 8 assists in these 9 games. He feels great. As if you bumped Bernardo Silvas pace way up, but he lost a smidge of agility for it.

Had the most perplexing evening of games. I use the GG cup as a warm up and it's a good job. I went 1/5 today. Struggled to get anything going at all and gameplay was horrid. Resumed 6-2 on WL and really struggled in gameplay to two ground out wins to start. After that I had to reset my router and it seemed to do the trick. Gameplay was much more normal after that.

I ended up finishing 16-4 again. Very happy with that after the slow 6-2 start. Best a star of the weekend. I ended up 11-3 and decided to play on to 14. Still had two games spare at that point so played on, won the first one and then the 2nd I took an early lead with a frankly bullshit goal and he instaquit.

I have completed the Upgrade 62 times and the pick 95 times. I dont think I have packed a Ligue Un TOTS from the picks.

I'd like to hope tonight we dont get a CB objective, followed up with a CDM type as a flashback SBC. I feel like they've got stuck in that formula.

Yeah I've just seen those now.. very meh. I'm sure Kessie will be 86-88 pace, have low 90's for defending and passing, with mega physicals and crap shooting.

Once Serie A TOTS is out there I can finally look at spending for the final team. If you order the players by price on FUTBIN there's only the very first page that I can't afford, so I may be able to try out a mega player, or a few very good ones.

I have plenty enough midfielders and defenders now and I'm sure I'll get more in this team too. So attackers should really be the name of the game.

Decided to watch that TopBins to see what it is. They're waffling with a load of shit, but they have mentioned there are two events this weekend with token drops. There's a 3rd which drops a nice looking kit, but I think no token with that one.

Apparently nobody likes to play golden goal in the Martinez objective. Having to use 11 different clubs is interesting.

I also didn't notice Serie A cup is out. It's golden goal again which is good. I like them giving people the extra day to help getting the top rewards. My Serie A team however is a bit pants in certain areas(full back and keeper).

Yeah it can be a bit annoying. You can only use one of Tonali or Hernendez or Kessie for example. However when doing player picks on Wednesday I did take a few cards with this league in mind.

I do wish he was higher than 92 rated, but I guess then we wouldn’t be getting him for free.

He's come down big time, from going up over 500k he's now settling around 270k. I really do not understand why his card is 10x cheaper than Dybala.

Speaking of prices, this team is absolutely mad. Every single one of them is below 400k, aside from Leao, Dybala and Theo. SBC wise Sherriff reckons we're getting Pellegrini as one, but nothing for Ribery or Zlatan. Which is a big miss for me.
