EA have fucked up hugely with these new SBC's. They basically make everything in the game cost nothing but time now.

They've turned what was a load of filler in the form of the new CONMEBAL cards into useful cards for SBC's, they've made a load of previously useless players/leagues now useful, they've added 6 new 88 rated players that mostly link that you can just do over and over again and finally, you can pack a load of the required cards in bronze packs and silver upgrades.

It's a grind, but a beautiful one by the look of it.

I had a pretty good WL this weekend, ended up 14-6. It's frustrating to get to that point and run out of time, as I'd love to see how well I'd do with 30 games. Genuinely thought 20 wins was possible the way I was playing. I also got 87 Parejo out of the player pick for 10 wins, which isn't bad at all. He will help towards an SBC at some point.

I missed out on Rooney but I'm tempted to do Kolarov now, and work towards Alex Sandro gradually. Currently using a Bundesliga/French squad but fancy mixing it up now and then. 2POTM Werner is still lethal though and I try and fit him in whenever I get the chance.

On the subject of PES before, I've been checking it out to see if the potential uprising will stick. I don't quite think so, but there's some things that FIFA could seriously take from it.

- There is no chemistry system. You can play your favourite players in one team if you so wish.

- The manager you have controls your optimum formation and playstyle. For example, Simeone gives you strong defensive solidity. Guardiola a heavy possession game.

- Players come at a base rating but then can level up using experience. Certain players can earn higher levels than others. Special cards start the player off at a higher base rating.

- Duplicate cards can be converted into experience and fed to your best version of that card to level it up. Duplicates are no longer a waste. You can convert a random 75 rated player and feed it to your CR7, but it wont work as well as an example.

- You can see your opponents level or offensive/defensiveness in game.

Had been keeping an eye on CD Keys as the cheapest place to get it, but as soon as pay day hit they upped the price by £15. However I've convinced a mate to let me test something with his gamertag and it's resulted in me getting the game for free. Result.

Got a cheap AF gold team and headed online. Even in my placement games I'm facing teams I should really not be facing. Played 3 and lost 2, but learned some things along the way.

Firstly, my defenders are idiots. I have players running back to cover off the runner on a counter, but by doing so is playing everyone onside for an easy pass to someone on goal.
The people I'm playing have better defenders who seem to always manage to stick out a leg to block my key pass. I can't quite get build up right yet, so more work needed.

Pushing 90 Son to ST and Barnes 91 to CAM has refreshed the game for me. The added strength on Barnes is really useful in the central areas. It just goes tk show, big players like Haland are not very useful at the high levels. I really like to play with big ST, but when you come up against people who are good, they are fucking shit. Currently, 14-1 in WL and I feel like finishing the 30 for the first time in months.

I did Paqueta today. Christ those volleys are a grind. I just ended up setting up a Brazil squad and a Serie A squad and getting through it. Not had a chance to use him yet but looks alright. Tempted to try him up front with a Marksman on him

The easiest way to do volleys is double tap pass (or through ball) which puts a little bit of height on the pass.

Finished on 23 wins to sneak into the elite. Barnes is really good with an engine from CAM. Ikone is ok. Palacios Is still my favourite card. Im, sure he has a 100% shot to goal ratio for first-time efforts. He is that good. I can see how he is 250k. Knowing what I know about FIFA, that indicates that a new bundlesiga CM will be released which will crash his price.
