They really need to reevaluate judging in boxing. There should be a judge watching on a tv in the back or get one overlooking the ring like the umpire in tennis.

Tyson Fury really needs to shut the fuck up about the Klitschko fight now. On the BT build up show he's just had Klitschko as unbeatable before he turned up when he'd lost three fights previously, and on a run of twenty five consecutive title defenses when it was twenty.
The man is an industrial strength whopper.

I understand he has gone through health issues and a massive weight drop. But this type of opponent is embarrassing. Boxrec says his opponent is the second best cruiserweight in Albanian and there are only two of them. Vitali took four years off and came back to an imemdaite WBC title shot.
He's been flattened by a cruiserweight before. If this bloke comes out and bingos him the way Breidis Prescott did Khan it'll make my month.
I’m hoping (https://www.thethirdhalf.co.uk/showthread.php?61-The-Betting-Thread&p=273828&viewfull=1#post273828) Fury absolutely beasts him early doors - funnily enough like Amir Khan did to Phil Greco.

In fairness to him, comprehensively outboxing Klitschko to the point where even the judges had to accept the fact, in Germany, probably ranks as one of the best performances by a British heavyweight ever.
I disliked him for a long time, and lolled at him punching his own face with the best of them, but I'd so love him to come back and dominate 'AJ' from range whilst casually abusing the LGBT community as he goes. The seethe would be incredible.

Its Canelo vs GGG 2 this weekend. Canelo failed a drug test between now and the first fight. It ended in a draw. I picked Canelo but I had GGG winning. For this fight, even after the allegedly tainted meat abuse. Ive got Canelo winning. Usually the fighter who has better movement usually always does better the second fight again the big puncher. You can view the first view on BT Sport YouTube.
https://youtu.be/1vIbkYAIRZM?t=685
I haven't watched either of them fight since the first one. I think Alvarez is the better boxer, but hopefully he worked on his stamina so that he can last more than two rounds this time.
I’m rooting for triple G.

It's boxing, it's literally the most corrupt sport in the world. All the money is on Alvarez's side. Although this was less of a screw job than Byrd's card last time round and far play to him for going the distance twice with Golovkin, regardless of the cards.
SincereTheRebel
17-09-2018, 12:01 PM
I dont see the robbery here. This was much more competitive than the first fight. I thought GGG won the first and Canelo edged the second. Hopefully, they go on and find a third time, but with one or two fights between. Its a good entertaining fight. Canelo made a statement by controlling the center of the ring the whole fight. GGG showed a level to his game that I didn't think he had. The abililty to fight while moving backwards. Respect to both.
Hopefully we get more fightrs bewtween them until one of them is lying on the canvas in a coma.

Fury vs Joshua would be shit. Fury is nothing special since coming back, but at the silane time I don’t see him getting knocked out. Boring points win in every round for ‘AJ’.
Don't see it going that way at all. If Fury is near his best he'd win on points, he's the better technical boxer who would try to dance around Joshua. Joshua would try to stop Fury and judging by his power, could.
The thing is, I doubt Fury is anywhere near his best.
SincereTheRebel

Too many fighters live of old work for too long. Fury has had health and mental issues. I don't believe he is anywhere near his Wlad level. You can't judge him really on his two comeback fights because the opposiuton was so poor. Actually, I should know better. Speaking to TMZ, Mayweather said on Wednesday night that the he intends to go ahead with the exhibition bout against Nasukawa at the end of this year. “We’re gonna make it happen. It’s a no-brainer. Just because I’m retired from boxing, I still make appearances worldwide and make a ton of money,” he told TMZ.
The undefeated boxer would not be putting his record on the line, as the bout would be slated as a short exhibition bout under boxing rules. “Rules,” Mayweather said, “It’s gonna be a little boxing exhibition. No kicking. I’m moving around with the guy for 9 minutes…”
What a pussy.

Another totally legimate boxing card in Brisbane last night... Mundine made millions for playing heel. Horn is not only a thick as shit his promoters are some how even more thick.
I'm really looking forward to it tomorrow. It just feels like a proper, old-fashioned, heavyweight event. More so than anything Joshua has managed to date, even the Klitschko fight.
Although I do have this niggling feeling that I'm getting caught up in the comeback story and he might just get completely embarrassed, my prevailing feeling is that Fury will win it. I think if he's even somewhat back to his best then he's comfortably good enough to avoid that big right and just box his way to victory.
I think he's played the build-up very well, too. Obviously I realise a lot of showboating goes on in the lead up to a fight like this, but I genuinely think he's got under Wilder's skin a bit towards the end of it. That's very much his domain, and I think he's used it to his advantage quite well.

Lol at the UK judge. He had it a draw. I picked wilder but I thought fury did just enough to win. I didn't score it properly though and I haven't done the maths regarding the two knockdowns.

Surely Wilder had to win that one, since Fury would still be a bit rusty and shabby, and can't have been in the best condition coming off all that weight loss.

Fury is definitely better suited in a rematch. Wilder should be embarrassed.
The judge who gave the fight to Wilder gave him the first four rounds, which must mean he was watching a different fight, one which BT weren't showing the rest of us. There's an argument to be made for Wilder winning the fight, but I wouldn't have given him any of the first four rounds, and the only one he'd have a case for is the first.

Quite, not sure why anyone bothers with it as a sporting thing.
Are you saying knockdowns can't hold any sway?
Of course they hold sway. But within the confines of the rules, and the scoring system isn't complicated. If you knock somebody down in a round, and they don't return the favour, then you will win that round 10-8. Which means, on a purely mathematic basis, it's simply not enough to knock somebody down in two out of twelves rounds and do very little else for the rest of the fight. You could make a case for him taking one, maybe two, rounds out of the remaining ten. Which still puts him down on the cards.
I've nothing at all against a fighter playing to his strenths and banking on the big right hand, or whatever. But if you want to play that game then you better make sure the other guy doesn't get back up.

I remember seeing an Imgur (of all places) breakdown of this Vasyl Lomachenko ages ago and thinking he looked pretty swish. How is anyone meant to beat him?
SincereTheRebel
09-12-2018, 06:59 PM
He isnt going to get beaten until he goes up further in weight. Mikey Garcia at 140 is probably his only test. The other champions at 147 will probably beat him based on size.
His movement is incredible. He plays with his opponents .
Everyone expected Canelo to duff Fielding up last night, but that was a humiliation. I reckon he'd have a hard time collecting his fee if he'd offered up that sort of performance having been brought in as a sparring partner during Canelo's camp for the GGG fight. As an actual opponent he just offered nothing. Fight was over as soon as the first body shot landed.
SincereTheRebel
16-12-2018, 07:43 AM
It was pretty shocking to be honest. Those body shots looked and sounded brutal though. Canelo a little stocky cunt.

The shots Canelo landed would have damaged anyone at that weight, and probably two or three above, but Fielding is about half a foot taller than him and he didn't even seem to make any real effort to control the distance. From the first bell he was in Canelo's world, standing guard to guard when he had about four inches of reach on him. Pure lunacy against someone so good and with so much power.
