It's ok to kill and eat some, but not hit/tap others. Some can be kept as pets, but others you'd be seen as mental/breaking the law for doing so. Some can be involved in assisting humans, but others absolutely cannot (I'm thinking guide dog vs. sending a monkey up a tree to get coconuts with this one). Some are allowed to be used in some sports but others absolutely cannot be used in other sports.

The latter is what most vegans would tell you, I've never quite got it. If I'm at a dinner table and my host has made something involving meat then I'm probably going to have some, there's no net change. I suppose making a song and dance about not eating it is half the point.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with murder following an assault outside a pub.

A man in his 30s died in hospital on Sunday evening after paramedics were called to an address in Dereham, Norfolk at about 05:00 BST.

Police later established a serious assault had taken place outside the Red Lion pub in Dereham on Saturday evening.

On Thursday, Tyrone Busch of St Withburga Lane, Dereham, was charged with murder and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court.

The provisional cause of death was given as a traumatic head injury following a Home Office post-mortem examination.

I would imagine the consideration they are working against here is that opening fire in a crowded airport would be very risky.

If you kill a bystander in the process of taking out a terrorist with a gun or bomb, that's justifiable. If you kill a bystander because someone started a scrap with you, probably not justifiable.

I'm not saying that at all and women policy officers definitely have a massive use. I think they are far more likely to diffuse a volatile situation than a male police office from what I saw when I worked in bars and clubs.
