They won't be anywhere near the gear they were in for the cup game, will be rolled over easily. Spurs are guaranteed a loss and I'd really fancy Southampton to do Leicester.

I'd be backing a Liverpool win. Spurs are going to bottle this anytime now.
Everton are so unlucky and United so jammy that match can only end with a last minute Stones own goal.
I expect a cricket score in the Chelsea - Villa match.
Southampton are easy pickings for Leicester.
What ever happened to Friday night matches? Have there been any since United played one last season?

That's next year. There JUST SO HAPPENED to be a demonstration going on in Birmingham a week after they announced that news and the game was played on a Friday. TOTAL COINCIDENCE, I'm sure.

Pato even had multiple operations at AC Milan (they seem to have a similar effect with killing strikers these days) before his Chelsea move, so it was never going to end well.

Tomer Hemed misses from nowhere, and the Sky man says, gravely, 'In a game of few chances, that's a standout one'. I've had it on for 15 minutes and there have been two goals and countless other chances in front of goal at both ends. Do they just decide a NARRATIVE pre-match and stick to it regardless of events?
How are Real Madrid at 6 on Betfair? Are they crap/Barca that good at the minute?
They can be a bit suspect at the back and Barcelona's front three is preposterous. Also, new Madrid managers tend to get fucked to death in their first 'Clasico.'

What they need is for a team with a goal difference motivation to really go for it and put twelve or thirteen past them. That scale of humiliation might be the only thing to provoke whoever runs the club to sort it out or whatever.
I beg to differ. As far as I recall Paul Lambert tried with the youngsters hence Villa fielding their youngest ever side just two years ago.
Which isn't how they got into either the financial or relegation messes they're in at the moment.

The odd steady one for us, but generally poor. He got absolutely raped once by Amalfitano at West Brom.
I guess the idea is because he's left footed, and (theoretically at least) could be a bit versatile (in the sense that midfield plodders are often able to fill in at full back if needs be).
Jimmy Floyd

After this game Aston Villa will have the worst goal difference in the first six tiers of English football (haven't looked below that), and the only team worse in any of the first 10 or so European top flights is Troyes.

None of today's alleged team came through the academy, Smiffy. Our problem is we've clearly not been considering a players mentality when signing them and we've failed to get rid of wankers when they become/have always been unmotivated and uninterested, which has led to the squad being awash with complete cunts who blatantly don't give a fuck.

Perhaps not this season but let's not pretend it hasn't played a part in getting them where they are. Darren Bent is a good example of how Aston Villa fucked it and Lambert played his part in that also.
How does any of that relate to it being a good idea to start bringing youngsters into the team now that they're basically down anyway?
This is another Smiffy tangent that never comes close to the point it's supposed to, isn't it?

Ok, that makes more sense. But haven't the club come out and said that he is being "dealt with internally". Unless they are just dealing dealing with his shiteness, which is entirely possible.
You see, here's Jordan Lyden, their U21 captain. He literally can't be worse than the players who started in midfield today. That's what I mean, Smiffy. There was no wider point about finances or signing mercenaries.

What do you mean by mentally weak? Fighting spirit etc? I didn't see any evidence of that.

Oh, well I agree with that. Knockaert was good for the majority but made two bad decisions breaking. We did play too deep and there was two much space between the strikers and the midfield. I think sitting back could have worked much better if Sidwell was on earlier - and deeper.

Game looked like classic Knockaert. Some lovely touches, great skill and a good goal but some very poor decision making and he flagged massively towards the end. Tony in a nutshell.

Aye. I put Ł20 on Spurs earlier and felt increasingly confident as that half went on.
What is Sakho doing? There was a 10 minute spell from around the 30th minute where he made 5 or 6 glaring errors.
Sakho would terrify me as Liverpool supporter. He's frightening me this evening. I'll always maintain that Sturridge is shit as well. Still want him to bang in a hattrick, mind.

I expected Sturridge to take that chance. He obviously didn't realise how much time he had. Should have rolled it under his foot and then slotted it home. For all Origi's good work for the team...he doesn't score any goals.
