How do you put a Genie Scout shortlist into the game itself? Every time I try to import one it errors out.

What is Genie Scout? Is it a cheat thing like the in-game editor?

Liverpool - Season 2019/2020

Transfers Out

Daniel Sturridge to Inter - £10.75M
Joel Matip to West Ham - £26.5M
Sadio Mane to Man City - £34M
Danny Ward to Crystal Palace - £1.5M (+£700K)
Jordan Henderson to Atletico - £16.25M

Season Summary

I knew we would be fine without Sturridge and Mane given the performances from Origi and Harker last season and I would be proved correct as both hit 59 between them.

I caved in with Divock and gave him the deal he requested.

http://s30.postimg.org/mb8leejb5/screenshot_793.png

Harker continues to develop well enough and is only 12-18 months of hitting his stride I imagine.

http://s30.postimg.org/eespjwx8h/screenshot_794.png

No England call up as of yet but he will I'm sure. Perhaps it's my own fault for having him as a target man. One who has managed the feat albeit without starting is our number one, Luke Hunter. Alongside his partners in crime Joe Gomez and Andre Wisdom who have both joined him.

http://s30.postimg.org/kk2lg7iv5/screenshot_796.png

This season is probably the best we've had for blooding in youngsters and most the biggest earners are gone now.

http://s30.postimg.org/dl7dj6tdt/screenshot_797.png

I tried finding an earlier version of Woodburn but I can't without loading up an earlier save but midwrite up that can't happen. I will confirm shortly but I'm sure he's improved in the star compartment. I was borderline writing him off only 18 months ago.

http://s30.postimg.org/dh9f8kfgh/screenshot_798.png

Moving on though.

Man United once again won the Premier League but our position in third was a comfortable one. We barely challenged for the title although I reckon we would have been if we didn't have that nonsense cup in December.

http://s30.postimg.org/wqfoq2edd/screenshot_799.png

Domestic cups were a bit of a let down this season.

http://s30.postimg.org/yv4n4w5dt/screenshot_800.png

Painful. Oscar equalised in stoppage time before De Sciglio grabbed the winner in ET.

One of the "four" countries we visited in in the month long run of bollocks fixtures.

http://s30.postimg.org/kc23h81mp/screenshot_801.png

Disappointing.

The other nonsense cups were annoying as were the results in the season openers.

http://s30.postimg.org/pftd5fcqp/screenshot_802.png

But none more disappointing than our final game of the season.

http://s30.postimg.org/4pffhld8h/screenshot_803.png

It would be a repeat of last seasons final. Manchester City should have been worried given we'd had their number on a few occasions.

But no.

http://s30.postimg.org/uoszh1kjl/screenshot_804.png

Frustrating overall but the small positives are obviously the increased number of youngsters playing first team football.

I have a few more I'm hoping to give a chance for the upcoming season.

^^ Not overly sure if I should wait a season but He's had 18 in 20 youth team games so I'm thinking he's something spesh.

I'll do the full first team before the opening game. Quite honestly I'm surprised that I'm doing so well bu

After a quiet 2017 gaming the FIFA rankings with a series of friendly wins (and draws, and losses) against other Caribbean islands, no sooner does the next Caribbean Cup come around (and a first round group with Curação and the US Virgin Islands) than I randomly get offered interviews by Hull, Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday in the space of a week. I didn't set my reputation that high so it seems a bit odd. Anyway, Pards beat me to the Hull job but if one of the others comes in I'll give it a go alongside my Antigua duties.

Maybe the ability to see off St Kitts & Nevis 3-2 is just what you need in northern Championship football.

19/20 season over and our third back in the Premier League sees us finish 13th. Which is a bit shit, but with the League Cup win I'll take that.

Our average attendances seem to have plateaued at the 30k mark, and given we have a 33k seater stadium I can't see the board allowing us to build a bigger one until we've increased the fan base. So with that in mind, and £120m in the bank, this might finally be the summer we spend big.

Wiegl kicked off at not being allowed to go to Man City. Sold him for 40 million and raided Arsenal for Ramsey for 50. Brought in Matthew Ryan from Valencia to keep nets as Weidenfeller is retiring, the biggest issue being here that he's my captain and the closest thing I have to one after that has 12 for Leadership.

Chelsea finished 7th and have sold Eden Hazard for 60 million quid. I could never get Hazard for 60 million quid. I hate negotiating with the AI.

I went to search for a backup keeper in preseason and I still had the all players 'unattached' filter set. Top of the list was a 23 year old Martin Odegaard and he's come in as a backup. Scouting seemed ok but I take it he doesn't fare out much in this version. Also picked up some guy called Marcus Edwards who plays for Cyprus that the scouts liked. Had been released by Spurs.

I looked at Ryan as well. Ended up buying Timo Horn from Cologne instead, but he wasn't all that.

Posted in the wrong thread, that did my head in until I realised there's two threads here for FM. So;

Fired up the game for the first time with Gillingham.

Basically Kent are shit when it comes to football teams. We have a host of teams in non-League football (Dover, Ebbsfleet, Maidstone, Margate, Folkestone) but only Gillingham have spent any real time in the League.

Right off the bat, three things I noticed;

1.) About half of my defence is on loan and my best goalkeeper, Jonathan Bond is on loan for 6 months from Reading. My contracted keeper, Stuart Nelson is both old and shit.
2.) The 35 year old Paul Konchesky is my best defender. What the fuck.
3.) Bradley Dack is worth £5.5m and is immediately under interest from Newcastle and Villa

So I immediately sold Dack for £4.4m because frankly that kind of money can't be turned down in League One. He's the best player in the Gillingham squad and he's a good young talent but he's not worth keeping when I get that kind of offer.

Squad is pretty mediocre however and the board want a top-half finish so I'll need to get the cheque book out. Pressing concerns are a goalkeeper, central defender, a replacement for Dack and a striker.

We now have to overcome Curação and Haiti for a place in the next Gold Cup, which is definitely odds against because they're both better than us and have better players, but it's not completely out of the question like if we'd drawn Jamaica, so it's a pretty good draw. I play 4-2-4 with Antigua to try and just score a few and overcome the fact that my best centre half is this dude:

GKS Katowice - 2030/31 season:

Transfers out:

http://i.imgur.com/osH5qqp.png

Only 'Marc Ayuk' was shown the door this year, £7.5m and 50% next sale which will pay off nicely. He's now worth £23.5m and only 21.

Transfers in:

http://i.imgur.com/Skd93Wl.png

Only £2.5m, he'll probably never make our first team but will make us some nice profit.

http://i.imgur.com/0Y2Rt19.png

£6m and I think he can be good but I'm not sure where or how.

http://i.imgur.com/MdO2TfY.png

£21m which is a bit high but Schalke hate us. Geezer looks like he could be shit hot though.

Standard.

Europe:

http://i.imgur.com/FDmqVd8.png

Little shaky in the group and we only scraped through by 1 point over Dortmund but once we got to the knockout stages we showed our real class. 2-1 against United in Champions League finals now. Kone was shit hot finishing as the top scorer.

Squad stats:

http://i.imgur.com/zi7SBIi.png

I wanted someone to really take over from Ndiaye as no one really did that last year. Kone decided it was his time and had a better ratio than Ndiaye ever had in a season. The guy was just unstoppable at times.

Currently £20m in the hole and we're predicted to be in deeper shit so I'll have to sell this year. I've earmarked Campagna, Tom Smith, Melih Ayaz and Greg Kuczynski. They've been important pieces of our team for a while now but the youth in our squad took a real step up this year.

Liverpool - Season 2020/2021

Arguably our toughest campaign to date and required a tactical change things got to bad. Thankfully the switch paid dividends but I don't know how much longer we can keep this up for.

http://s30.postimg.org/bhuz7ewch/screenshot_832.png

Origi found himself with a new strike partner for much of the season but once again ended it as our top goalscorer. He's more than a 1 in 2 striker with 125 in 257. I bowed down and gave him the bumper deal though.

http://s30.postimg.org/eei07p269/screenshot_833.png

His partner in crime was the ever improving Ben Woodburn who completed a career best and gained an England cap in the process.

http://s30.postimg.org/8g46xgj7l/screenshot_834.png

Woodburns form has seen Wes Harker dropped to the bench and he really struggled this season. He's classed as a wonderkid and gained a cap for England in the European Championships but the emergence of Pilkington means he's got to take a step forward. I might only get around this by selling Origi.

http://s30.postimg.org/e6yyoxgld/screenshot_835.png

Our start to the season got off to an absolute nightmare.

http://s30.postimg.org/76ayw5etd/screenshot_836.png

http://s30.postimg.org/66ko0fznl/screenshot_837.png

But the fightback was to be admired given the age and inexperience of those in the squad.

Tottenham to their credit were dominant throughout.

http://s30.postimg.org/tm2l5sjep/screenshot_838.png

We found this out in the EFL Cup.

http://s30.postimg.org/or8w7il35/screenshot_839.png

In the FA Cup we were eliminated by the worst team possible.

http://s30.postimg.org/7rzxs99vl/screenshot_840.png

They beat us in the Premier League too. Rooted to the bottom of the table, of course they were going to win 1-0 at Anfield.

http://s30.postimg.org/y5jf51qo1/screenshot_841.png

Finally a third Champions League final looked on the cards.

http://s30.postimg.org/mugrgojsx/screenshot_842.png

Until Flanno fucked it.

http://s30.postimg.org/7a9dq59oh/screenshot_843.png

:moop:

A few of the youngsters.

Our number one.

http://s30.postimg.org/f5jx4yjb5/screenshot_844.png

Huw hasn't featured much but long term I'm hoping he fills the full back slot.

http://s30.postimg.org/a86cjuhc1/screenshot_845.png

With this chap on the other side. He's on loan at Ipswich atm and hasn't developed a great deal.

http://s30.postimg.org/bohv1zk8x/screenshot_846.png

I'm hoping we can start getting some centre backs as that's an area we're weak in.

Grujic is just amazing.

http://s30.postimg.org/sp5coemo1/screenshot_847.png

His average rating increasing each season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is doing better than expected. He's got four caps now too.

http://s30.postimg.org/x28hkkksh/screenshot_848.png

I'm hoping to get a bit more out the Bishop next season as he's in danger of not living up to his potential. We're blessed in the attacking department which doesn't help his cause.

I think Dortmund are cursed. I am now suffering from exactly what Jim suffered from. Hertha Berlin just scored 3 in the first 30 minutes. Moussa Dembele has twice as many goals as Aubameyang. My plan is to hold my head above water and hopefully do something in the Champions League while waiting for one of the big boys in England to get sacked. Bielsa has turned up at Chelsea and sold off every decent player they have which sounds fun.

Is there a way for me to keep up to date on certain clubs job security so I know when to pounce?

I would venture a guess that you both are using Abuyamang as a poacher and relying on through balls and pace to score goals - whereas after one successful season (even as one of the best teams in the league) - other teams will always start playing deeper against you.

At least that would explain why Abuyamang doesn't score and one of your wingers does. Try playing with two strikers for a bit, or maybe three - mixing it up a little.

I made a save with every player loaded and holidayed ten seasons to see who got good so some of them are from that, such as the two no-name p/x players.

Dybala for £60m+Blind was shrewd, even if I do say so myself.

EDIT: Oh Fellaini's off to China in January for £6m and I'm also getting these:

Liverpool - Season 2021/2022

We're getting close but I think we only finished 2nd due to our matches against those in and around us however we still dropped far too many points and again it had to be those ugly bastards who finished above us.

http://s30.postimg.org/uuaj1w81t/screenshot_853.png

Away from the league and we finally secured the only cup that has eluded us this far. The EFL.

http://s30.postimg.org/x2opj8f5t/screenshot_854.png

Everton semi was a heartbreaker I'm sure. :D Oomf!

Our domestic cup success went some way to avenging the Chelsea defeat in the FA Cup.

http://s30.postimg.org/vc5ohqxmp/screenshot_855.png

PSG can get fucked though. Poor form.

http://s30.postimg.org/avunzincx/screenshot_856.png

I'm hopeful we're on course for a good season next year as the past two have seen numerous first teamers improved. Karious and Winjaldum both left meaning Origi and Sakho are the sole survivors now since I'm not including the likes of AA, Woodburn and indeed Klopps own Marko Grujic since all developed under me and not him.

I'll upload the starting eleven when we get to the seasons big kick off.

Financially the wage bill is still at £1.1M, I'm struggling to alter that at the moment as it means ridding ourselves of Origi and we're another season or two away from doing that sensibly.

£900M in the balance and we're just £200M short of both Arsenal and Man United in our quest to become the richest, most valuable club in the world. Phwarr.

However, that's going to change and then some....

Commited wage bill spend....£733K. Cracked it!

Here's a rundown of the squad for the upcoming campaign. It's coming to an end regardless as when we move into the new stadium I'm opening the cheque book and dominating. I like to think I've proved I'm able to look after financies if I just don't buy anyone. :rosebud:

I've somehow got Wigan from minus £8 million to plus £8 million in a summer, whilst also signing almost an entire new first team squad to replace the ones I had to sell/let go. Christ fuck knows what the previous regime(s) were up to.

Liverpool - Season 2022/2023

I thought our second placed finish last season suggested we're close to "coming of age" but as it turns out I couldn't have been any further from the truth as we slumped to an almighty low under my reign.

http://s30.postimg.org/jr7cyovk1/screenshot_904.png

Manchester City winning the FA Cup is actually the only reason we're in Europe for the upcoming campaign and even that's the Europa. Poor form.

The departure of Andre Wisdom and Mamadou Sakho were costly as both alongside Gomez were our best defenders but it was going forward where our true problems lay. Defensively we conceded just 30 league goals, the third best in the league despite our poor position. Sixty league goals just wasn't good enough however.

Our poor league effort wasn't limited to just the division.

http://s30.postimg.org/i3csxs729/screenshot_905.png

We lost our EFL honor against a dominant Man United.

The FA Cup faired even more unforgiving.

http://s30.postimg.org/5xwsev741/screenshot_906.png

Away from the domestic disappointment, Europe ensured it was an unforgiving season.

Top Goalscorers

Gavin Pilkington - 19 in 46(1)
Ben Woodburn - 13 in 46(1)
Marko Grujic - 11 in 37(1)

Joe Gomez - 7.35
Marko Grujic - 7.34
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7.22.

Our new stadium plans have been complete and we shall be moving into our new home June 21st 2026. The YDWAWK experiment has failed however and the clubs purse strings are about to be open in a bid to give Anfield a perfect send off and ensure our new era is one of trophy filled dominance.

I finally got round to finishing the season of my game that Smiffy finished about eighteen months ago, and the game has fucked me right up the arse at the end of it. With one game of the season to go my first teamers were all worth in the region of ten to fifteen million, but immediately after winning that game and clinching the title, their values have all been cut to about one fifth of what they were, and eight of my first eleven are demanding new contracts. Normally I'd be delighted that so many of my players want to stay, but they all have those shitty non-negotiable, agent insert release clauses based on their new values. Like fuck am I giving a four million quid release clause to someone the game was telling me yesterday was worth fifteen.

I can't fathom out a reason for it either. The league reputations don't update for a while, the club reputation can't have taken a significant hit from winning the fucking league, and the players themselves all played up to standard. I'll play until the start of next season to see if it corrects, no doubt fighting off a hundred bids a day from clubs sniffing the incredible bargains the game's created, but if it stays as it is that might be it for me on this save.

Liverpool - Season 2023/2024

Summary

£185M spent in the summer meant we failed the FFP for the first time in a long time and as a result were fined £5M or so but when you've brought in English players you're always going to be paying a premium. Thankfully those brought in improved us in various ways although I expected more for the outlay.

Dele Alli took an age to get going but posted up some fairly respectable numbers in the end. Robert Witham overtook our youngster Huw Sanna at left back which was a bigger battle than I anticipated. Neither entirely deserved to sit out. He filled in well on the opposite side too when Gomez got struck down.

Nav Dhanjal was a minor disappointment but not a complete write off alongside fellow newbie Reece Oxford. James Hayden completed the summer activity and he was arguably the best of the bunch.

Chelsea were clear of us by 14 points or so in December IIRC but we chipped away repeatedly until they dropped vital points against Burnley (0-0) a few games towards the end of the season. Our one and only opportunity to leapfrog them despite our own run of form. We beat Tottenham 3-0 at Anfield to secure 4th. Spurs hopes of stopping Champions League football returning to Merseyside suffering a first leg blow. I say that because we would face off three days later in the Europa League final too.

http://s30.postimg.org/5ql0cyrlt/screenshot_925.png

http://s30.postimg.org/dzwvrdlc1/screenshot_926.png

A huge improvement on last seasons shoddy finish.

http://s30.postimg.org/bl506y535/screenshot_927.png

Our hopes of domestic cup success was dealt an early blow in the EFL.

http://s30.postimg.org/ljpytfeip/screenshot_928.png

But by the seasons end we had rectified that somewhat claiming our second honour of the campaign.

Alls forgiven Dele Alli?

http://s30.postimg.org/e50n11sn5/screenshot_929.png

As it was the second I gave away the Europa result but we were more than worthy victors.

Such a bullshit competition when viewed like the picture. :D

http://s30.postimg.org/732peup1d/screenshot_930.png

So the 2024/2025 campaign should see another round of spending but I'm not too sure it's going to be homegrown given I want that league title so we move to the 'Dalglish Stadium' ready to dominate the world.

This was my favourite season in it I think, we just went all out. The Inter games were utterly mental, especially the first leg as our ex-player Willy Fofana went batshit by scoring a hattrick and setting one up. His goal tally for Inter in previous seasons had been 1, 5 and 3 last year so fuck knows where he found those goals from. In the second leg we went crazy and stuck 4 past them in the first half with ease.

The final was a bit strange for me as Atletico ended up playing these 3 who all used to play for us:

I was shitting myself at facing Ndiaye as he had 16 in the Champions League and our defence has been suspect but we controlled the game from the start.

For the first time ever not a single player was bought as I didn't find any newgens that I liked when the windows were open. Here are the transfers out:

We now have a deciding match against Haiti to qualify for the Gold Cup.

Dunno. Wanted an international team to roll through a few seasons quickly and see if any interesting club scenarios came up, and this lot are massive underdogs but have players in the English leagues and the outside chance of English-based newgens coming through. I'll stick with them for a World Cup campaign and see what happens.

I got my best run ever with lack of injuries. Only Colidio missed much time (4 months) but Tarashaj has been a brilliant cover up front.

I should really start a game but I found on FM16 that I never settled on a new one once I had a long term one on the go. I have continued a bit in this one though and have gone into the next season. Good few youngsters brought in or kept at the club like Cresswell and have let the likes of Boufal, Sterling, Witsel, Jonny, and Teodorczyk go as their contracts were up which has seriously reduced the wage bill by around 800,000 a week. Might see can I revamp with some youngsters from my own squad (though I did sign two players already).

I've improved both league position and performances in every single season, so after a comfortable mid-table finish and a handsome £70m in the WARCHEST I was of course made favourite to get relegated

Continuing the constant theme of returning to past loves, Alexander-Arnold and Dozzell were made permanent, Ryan Kent and Jodi Jones also returned to give me a handy selection of lightweight flaky wingers

http://i.imgur.com/FHozOVA.png

Season went better than expected, with a very early flirtation with the top followed by a brief dip and then hovering between 6th-9th all season before coasting in to 8th with an arseload of draws

Progress over the years. To continue the pattern might have to mean equalling our best-ever league finish of sixth place, which was followed by a Fairs Cup campaign that saw Bayern Munich vanquished at Highfield Road in 1970, with nobody talking about the second leg

It's the 4-3-3 that DS posted before but I just pulled one player from each of the 3 lines to make another line of 2. Didn't change any of the instructions. Most assists come from the deeper of the two strikers or my fullbacks.

Jimmy Floyd

Basically everything we know about contract expiry goes out the window. The player stays with the club until an agreement is reached with another club for their transfer, or the player is released on a free. I think they can play for the original club in the mean time.

I'd say it'll make your save definitely more interesting. I posted this a few weeks a go or so, but work permits got scrapped again after five seasons or so after a vote about it where I got to use Bolton's vote.

It's taken exactly a week to complete a decade which isn't that bad considering.

:D

That's roughly the same as 25 working weeks.

I waited nearly two months for my DBS to be processed but aye, that's quite excessive albeit not all played obviously.

2019/2020 Man United Season Report

Leading up to the season I did some serious trimming of my squad. To the point where I ended up with a squad that was actually way too thin, which left me a bit fucked when I got the inevitable cascade of injuries in November. Here was the main business before and during the season:

https://snag.gy/K4532E.jpg

Sanches kind of completed my midfield in that I now probably own the 3 or 4 best central, allround midfielders in the world. The only one who can really rival Pogba, Neves, Bazooer and Sanches is Verratti, and maybe Weigl from Dortmund.

That said, a few injuries and I was a bit borked. So I got this kid in in January, who looks shit hot:

Joost van der Vlist
https://snag.gy/8Sy2Zq.jpg

I'm training him as a Roaming Playmaker, as that seems to be the closest to the complete midfielder type you get. He's more flairful than powerhouse, so I've stuck him on some extra tackling traning. If it just goes up to 13 or maybe 14 I'll be happy.

As for the season itself:

Premier League:
Comfortable winners

https://snag.gy/KTuBkl.jpg

Griezmann started the season amazingly, but then sort of faded a bit and "only" ended up second top scorer (on 25 goals) after Luciano Vietto who plays for Liverpool (27 goals). All in all, Griezmann scored 42 goals in 49 appearances over the season, which is definitely OK, but not quite Zlatan levels.

Champions League:
Winners, after this nervy final...

https://snag.gy/MSpAkQ.jpg

Here, Griezmann definitelly excelled, with 17 goals scored in total. Barcelona were still outstanding, still mainly thanks to the unstoppable Messi and Suarez (more so than Neymar for some reason). But I managed to thwart them in the Semis this year, which was a nice revenge from the final loss last season.

As for the kids, this one is mainly what's keeping me at United now (I keep thinking I should find another club to manage soon now that Zlatan is gone, I'd like a bit of a new project actually).

Daniel Dionisi

https://snag.gy/djPEvh.jpg

Now, he's developing nicely but since I'm not playing with AMC's, and since he's more suited as a Striker anyway in my opinion, I play him as that, usually as the outer striker in the front 3, and I'm training him as a Complete Forward. But even though he's played 37 games in the striker position this season, and scored 17 goals and 14 assists, he's still only "Accomplished" as a striker.

How long can it take for a player to be "Natural" in a position?

Zvonomir Gacesa

https://snag.gy/40o3gc.jpg

This guy is already a bit of a star, he already seems to play better than Luke Shaw. Still seems to have some more development to do as well

Apart from that, Jonathan Tah is a fucking beast. He was my top rated player. Which is saying quite a lot, when playing with such an offensive tactic and high defensive line, really. Here are the main stats:

https://snag.gy/FsVHOW.jpg

Next season plans:
Get another good defender in, as Fosu-Mensah doesn't really cut it. I've got my eyes on Aymeric Laporte and Jose Gimenez, both whom would cost around 60 Million I think. Though, I'd prefer getting someone young in, and also id would be nice to find some good English players (there is a huge draught on English talent at the moment in my save).

I've had some right cracking saves tbh. When I log into the image site I use there's a stream of reminders but as far as newgens go this is my best save so far. I wish I had loaded more countries but it doesn't seem to have affected too much. I want to see what I can do with Pilkington and Hunter too. I think both have potential to be record breakers at the club.

Long term aims now are relatively simple. Overtake Man United's 24 league titles (we're on 22) as well as FA Cup , overtake Real Madrid in Europe, it's currently 12 v 8 to them and honours, we're six behind whiilst hoping to further extend our record in the EFL cup. Along the way I'm hoping we can beat a few of our preset records most notably most wins in a season which stands at 30 (1978/79) and I don't think it's too far fetched to expect to beat the 11-0 win over Stromsgodset at some point too.

http://s30.postimg.org/yrh8e3wsh/screenshot_1009.png

He's definitely on course to beat Roger Hunt. 143 in 228 thus far but that's just league goals. Overall he's at 230 in 341 games.

I had a tendency to get Hunter, Harker and Harper mixed up tbf. One was a keeper, one a striker and the other only left in the summer after just six games in 11 years for us....has over 200 career games just off loans though.

Be warned spoiler is massive

Dare I mutter those famous last words?

http://s30.postimg.org/vbctedzcx/screenshot_715.png

I'm hoping we do it this season as I don't hold out too much hope of it happening in the next couple of years. Lucas Leiva and Dejan Loven both went to Guangzhou Evergrande in the January market for £33.5M although Dejan has another £7.5M to come in add ons so not a bad deal. The wage bill was something like £2.6M a week and I'll be aiming to get it down to £1M. I've kept mostly the first team thus far with the youngsters getting the odd start now and then but the long term aim is to bring them all through so the inevitable bids in the summer will be accepted providing they match our valuation otherwise I'll use them for tutoring purposes.

Mignolet decided to damage his achilles and has been out for the past 3/4 months whilst Firmino, who I rejected bids for in January ended up breaking his leg a few weeks later. Six months out. :moop:

Origi and Sturridge have grabbed 30 between them but the goals have been spread out. I've struggled to find a spot for Mane but he's still chipped in with 10 in 9 starts. Squeeky bum time.

It's bugging me that Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher won't entertain coming back to the club.

I've just had my intake. Perhaps losing Mignolet isn't that bad (I bet that statement doesn't exist on the internet up until now!)

Liverpool - Season 2016/2017

It took from the beginning of the season until the 12th of December to lose our first league match as we ran rampant. Victories at Stamford Bridge (3-2) and Goodison (4-0) proving every bit as pleasing as the 3-0 annihilation of Man United at Anfield and the manner in which we did them over in the EFL Cup was fantastic.

http://s30.postimg.org/kas20tmpt/screenshot_721.png

Pogba's penalty should return to planet earth early 2018. As it was it proved pointless in the end as we were defeated in the final to Arsenal.

http://s30.postimg.org/l5elmuukh/screenshot_722.png

I mentioned earlier about us being 'ten games away from greatness'.

http://s30.postimg.org/9xvdnadkx/screenshot_714.png

But ultimately that proved to be as disappointing as the last time as we bottled it.

http://s30.postimg.org/jitzfd7wh/screenshot_723.png

Opening season hasn't been great as far as blooding in youngsters but that's the long term aim as opposed to flooding the first team with them. Trent Alexander-Arnold had a few starts owing to his versatility and he'll be one I look use more next season.

http://s30.postimg.org/3lv7infi9/screenshot_724.png

Kevin Stewart was another but he's not really going anywhere and is likely to be allowed to leave in the summer. Andre Wisdom returns from loan and he'll be thrown into the first team as I hope to be rid of Klavan. Jack Dunn, Allan, Taiwo Awoniyi and Luke Hunter, the keeper from youth intake are all earmarked for next season where it looks more and more likely that Phillippe Coutinho and Emre Can will be departing.

How has Trent turned out for you? Gomez I was thinking of a using as a centreback.

On a side note, well into my second season but check it out. Bloodshed all round. :nodd:

Liverpool - Season 2017/2018

http://s30.postimg.org/mdl0s9qv5/screenshot_727.png

£92M brought in and more expected next season as I hope to offload the big earners. Unfortunately that means Firmino and Clyne this upcoming season as both want well in excess of £200K a week. I've got the wage bill down to £2M which given my history is pretty good.

The clubs balance stands at £300M at the time of writing and only money spent has been the return of Steven Gerrard as the U18's manager and Sammy Lee as my assistant.

The best thing about the season is we ended the wait. Rather emphatically in the end as well.

http://s30.postimg.org/tpqgxt935/screenshot_728.png

Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge once again proved too formidable upfront.

http://s30.postimg.org/6pjtlhb9d/screenshot_729.png

http://s30.postimg.org/hqjk48sw1/screenshot_730.png

Which is more than can be said for Taiwo who has found the step up a bit too much thus far.

http://s30.postimg.org/tgxhlmloh/screenshot_731.png

One man who hasn't is youth product Luke Hunter who continues to go from strength to strength.

https://s30.postimg.org/gs371yfk1/screenshot_732.png

He did concede six against Arsenal but I take the blame for overloading the entire first eleven with kids.

Not too many starts for Allan but I'm expecting Milner to leave in the summer so there is an opening for him.

http://s30.postimg.org/aaovw6ukh/screenshot_734.png

Jack Dunn and Lazar Markovic are probably going to join Milner given neither took their opportunies albeit limited ones.

Overall though I think it's fair to say Andre Wisdom and Marko Grujic were the main developers.

http://s30.postimg.org/yxkqtr4g1/screenshot_736.png

http://s30.postimg.org/fh01789c1/screenshot_737.png

Stats might say otherwise but on viewing alone they were.

Back to the scores.

Our FA Cup bid was ended by Chelsea in the cruelest of fashions but we had bigger fish to fry at that point anyway.

http://s30.postimg.org/v518e0oxt/screenshot_738.png

Losing to Tottenham in the semi's was a disappointmenet. You always want to get to the final when you get so close.

http://s30.postimg.org/6pt0cyq0x/screenshot_739.png

Thems the dangers when you're giving youth a chance.

The most gutting part of the season came in May.

http://s30.postimg.org/rt7iygmkh/screenshot_740.png

Considering we lost Can and Coutinho in the summer, I felt we did well to qualify for the knock out rounds. PSG proved easier than expected.

A date with Juventus followed but we were far too dominant in the final third.

http://s30.postimg.org/b7zwisvgh/screenshot_741.png

Man United were to come in the semi's. Neither club wanting to lose least of all Man United given they were witnessing an impending league title arrive at Anfield as well.

http://s30.postimg.org/jrjagk3sx/screenshot_742.png

Then shit got real. Real Madrid in the semi's, the winner facing Tottenham or Barcelona and the first leg couldn't have gone any worse.

http://s30.postimg.org/rbgywcmdd/screenshot_743.png

It would require a famous night at Anfiield to stand any chance of going to the final.

Firmino leaves for Bayern Munich in the January window so I'm hoping he'll be ready to take his place.

Heading into January and we've just bid farewell to Firmino and Moreno whilst Clyne looks set to join them in another round of savings. Daniel Sturridge, James Milner and Karius all went out on loan with their new clubs paying 100% of their wage.

With that said, this should make John proud.

First season.

http://s30.postimg.org/ir9a994u9/screenshot_751.png

Henderson, Matip, Lallana and Sakho (nearly £500K a week) all have 18 months remaining so will be looking to offload them in the not so distant future which would leave Origi as the clubs highest earner and I hope by that point we have a few more able additions coming through plus more places free in the starting line up should aid their course.

I'll take top four as I imagine it's going to get harder over the next few years.

Liverpool - Season 2018/2019

Some big names left in each window which helped the wage budget decrease rapidly and January was as hectic as could be as I decided as many youngsters in the U23's should get six months experience or so.

Season Summary

It was always going to be difficult retaining our Premier League title with so many first teamers leaving but it was disappointing for it to end up back at Old Trafford after they finished 3rd last season.

http://s30.postimg.org/hcjdn196p/screenshot_761.png

It would appear early doors that both Manchester clubs are going to be the top dogs in the next few years. Chelsea improved considerably but it wasn't much of a title challenge by any of the top five in truth.

Arsenal may look at it as a missed opportunity given what's going on at Anfield but overall I would say we deserved to finish where we did.

http://s30.postimg.org/imlsftsch/screenshot_762.png

I do wonder where we would have ended had it not been for a rough start to 2019 though.

https://s30.postimg.org/ms1afhfi9/screenshot_765.png
https://s30.postimg.org/7klav4nnl/screenshot_766.png

Away from the league though we appeared to go from strength to strength.

Not so much the EFL Cup.

http://s30.postimg.org/6anhg2tvl/screenshot_767.png

But revenge was dished our later in the season though to ruin Man United's hopes of a double.

http://s30.postimg.org/xza4nlgw1/screenshot_768.png

Given our starting line up contained Luke Hunter, Andre Wisdom, Jon Flanagan, Marko Grujic and the exciting Wes Harker it's fair to say this is as close as I've got to supposedly being unable to win anything with kids.

But it got better. Much better.

An easier group than last season and it showed as we qualified after just four games. That doesn't excuse the two defeats but I was a bit more generous in giving youngsters a chance as a result.

http://s30.postimg.org/60fywqf9d/screenshot_769.png

Our passage to the knock out round complete once more and Borussia Dortmund were hoping to end it.

http://s30.postimg.org/86ev4z83l/screenshot_770.png

They didn't. Our early onslaught in the first half was excellent and set up a quarter final game against arguably the weakest side left in the competition. Shakhtar.

Which made the first leg the biggest irritation of the season.

http://s30.postimg.org/6sn89o8u9/screenshot_771.png

It would require a special night at Anfield although I was suprised we didn't fill the ground. 2,000 odd short which has been rare this season. Something that wasn't rare though was the clubs ability to bounce back from the brink.

http://s30.postimg.org/7w7clmthd/screenshot_772.png

Easy in the end but a tie that should have been over before kick off. Real Madrid lay in wait and after last seasons 4-3 aggregate defeat to them I felt we owed them. The winner would face either Bayern Munich or Manchester City in the final. The winner would of course be us.

The testicular fortitude shown after not only going behind but being pegged back later in the match was telling.

http://s30.postimg.org/m56z3p801/screenshot_773.png

If Allan goes on to do nothing else, he did enough here.

Madrid were apparently ravaged by injuries by Ronaldo, Benzema, Rodriguez, Ramos, Kroos and Modric all featured though as I'm not buying into it.

Finally though it would be an all English affair in the final. Manchester City defeating the Germans to reach their first whilst we would be looking to win it for the first time since 2005. Well, you don't win anything with kids, do you?

http://s30.postimg.org/ddzy9foox/screenshot_774.png

http://s30.postimg.org/48rlfkla9/screenshot_775.png

 Just look at that final ten minutes.

Way beyond expectations but perhaps I'm underrating those I have.

Moving on. The big two are still Luke Hunter who has successfully established himself as number one now in place of Mignolet who I hope to sell in the summer and 'the next michael owen' in Wes Harker. Forget the fact he's a target man, clearly mirrors that treacherous twat.

He is getting better though.

:jayjay:

Well that was a quick turn around.

http://s30.postimg.org/d4ag0rbnl/screenshot_777.png

Barely seven months later.

On the plus side. (Because him being back in the Premier League with City is shit!)

http://s30.postimg.org/itqol2htt/screenshot_778.png

£50M roughly. Not bad, not bad.

I'm trying to use only youth intakes. I probably should have kept a good number of them for tutoring purposes but I figured first team football for them would be more beneficial.

http://s30.postimg.org/nuvww6e2p/screenshot_780.png

We've recouped £315M in fees thus far and the wage bill is now down to £1.1M. Unheard of for me.

It's such a foreign experience but until the remaining £181M is paid off then I'm going to stick at it. I've probably gone about it in the wrong way by getting rid of all those on big wages but ultimately I've had more fun managing just Harker on his lonesome than I have on a good few recent saves. It's rare I go Liverpool, even rarer to do this sort of save however it's worthwhile when you see how good some of those you wouldn't have given a chance to have developed.

Grujic being a prime example.

http://s30.postimg.org/4lrjdnzgh/screenshot_781.png

As you're in 3030's Mahow, any chance you can have a quick check and get back to me on the intake dates for England. The site I used only goes up to 2021. It's a shame I'm only using my own youth as some of the prospects with this 200 youth rating thing are mental.

Get fucked. :moop:

http://s30.postimg.org/uee2o6af5/screenshot_782.png

That could prove problematic. :moop: I seem to get wingers, goalkeepers or full backs.

Other than those already on the books at the start, I would say this geezer has been the best midfielder we've had and he's struggling to get a look in this season.

http://s30.postimg.org/jfu2xvo01/screenshot_785.png

I found the players I sent on loan for six months in January mostly benefited more than they did featuring for our U23's, I figured the facilities and coaching we have would have made a bigger difference as I'm sure I read that somewhere.

I should probably look to change tactic but it's working well despite meaning wingers aren't high on my list.

Hunter is worse. I'm sure he's a bit...inbred.

http://s30.postimg.org/5g5tayqf5/screenshot_786.png

http://s30.postimg.org/yvlle77lt/screenshot_789.png

That's the downside to starting with a big club, I guess.

Maxed out too easily.

http://s30.postimg.org/8v7qw6u69/screenshot_790.png

If I understood how to get 5 star coaches better then my youth will improve more, right? I've never been able to fill get them all to 5 stars.

How much are you enjoying Colidio, Giggles? Why so few starts?

I've just hit January after a month long slog. Nine matches in five different competitions, four different countires with one being Egypt for the Club World Cup. Not so bad except I have a squad of 24. two of whom were injured throughout. In that run we knocked Fulham out the EFL, beat LA Galaxy and Gremio in the nonsense cup, victory over Shahkter ensured top spot in the Champions League. Final four teams drawn for the knock out was ourselves, Dortmund, Man United and Basel. I'll let you guys guess who got who.

We actually have Man United next, traiing them by eight points and ten behind league leaders City althrough we have three games in hand. Touch and go but again I think top four is going to be a good result. Media have predicted 6th.

Look at the state of that.

http://s30.postimg.org/xaycg7mm9/screenshot_791.png

Youth intake arrived and I got well excited.

I just want photographic evidence that this save exists.

We'll be saving nearly £2,000,000 a month once the loans are paid off. The biggest goes in four years although surprised it hasn't been paid off already given our financial strength.

I can't quite figure out how to use him.

Liverpool - Season 2020/2021

Arguably our toughest campaign to date and required a tactical change things got to bad. Thankfully the switch paid dividends but I don't know how much longer we can keep this up for.

http://s30.postimg.org/bhuz7ewch/screenshot_832.png

Origi found himself with a new strike partner for much of the season but once again ended it as our top goalscorer. He's more than a 1 in 2 striker with 125 in 257. I bowed down and gave him the bumper deal though.

http://s30.postimg.org/eei07p269/screenshot_833.png

His partner in crime was the ever improving Ben Woodburn who completed a career best and gained an England cap in the process.

http://s30.postimg.org/8g46xgj7l/screenshot_834.png

Woodburns form has seen Wes Harker dropped to the bench and he really struggled this season. He's classed as a wonderkid and gained a cap for England in the European Championships but the emergence of Pilkington means he's got to take a step forward. I might only get around this by selling Origi.

http://s30.postimg.org/e6yyoxgld/screenshot_835.png

Our start to the season got off to an absolute nightmare.

http://s30.postimg.org/76ayw5etd/screenshot_836.png

http://s30.postimg.org/66ko0fznl/screenshot_837.png

But the fightback was to be admired given the age and inexperience of those in the squad.

Tottenham to their credit were dominant throughout.

http://s30.postimg.org/tm2l5sjep/screenshot_838.png

We found this out in the EFL Cup.

http://s30.postimg.org/or8w7il35/screenshot_839.png

In the FA Cup we were eliminated by the worst team possible.

http://s30.postimg.org/7rzxs99vl/screenshot_840.png

They beat us in the Premier League too. Rooted to the bottom of the table, of course they were going to win 1-0 at Anfield.

http://s30.postimg.org/y5jf51qo1/screenshot_841.png

Finally a third Champions League final looked on the cards.

http://s30.postimg.org/mugrgojsx/screenshot_842.png

Until Flanno fucked it.

http://s30.postimg.org/7a9dq59oh/screenshot_843.png

:moop:

A few of the youngsters.

Our number one.

http://s30.postimg.org/f5jx4yjb5/screenshot_844.png

Huw hasn't featured much but long term I'm hoping he fills the full back slot.

http://s30.postimg.org/a86cjuhc1/screenshot_845.png

With this chap on the other side. He's on loan at Ipswich atm and hasn't developed a great deal.

http://s30.postimg.org/bohv1zk8x/screenshot_846.png

I'm hoping we can start getting some centre backs as that's an area we're weak in.

Grujic is just amazing.

http://s30.postimg.org/sp5coemo1/screenshot_847.png

His average rating increasing each season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is doing better than expected. He's got four caps now too.

http://s30.postimg.org/x28hkkksh/screenshot_848.png

I'm hoping to get a bit more out the Bishop next season as he's in danger of not living up to his potential. We're blessed in the attacking department which doesn't help his cause.

Lastly...

Phwarr.

However, that's going to change and then some....

http://s30.postimg.org/5a88vgmo1/screenshot_857.png

http://s30.postimg.org/w9gp4cyip/screenshot_858.png

Two more years.

An increase in 18,000 odd.

The summer has seen Mamadou Sakho, Andre Wisdom and Divock Origi all leave. Andre wanted £250K but that wasn't happening.

:rosebud:

Away from the domestic disappointment, Europe ensured it was an unforgiving season.

http://s30.postimg.org/c47fd3fsx/screenshot_907.png

Top Goalscorers

Gavin Pilkington - 19 in 46(1)
Ben Woodburn - 13 in 46(1)
Marko Grujic - 11 in 37(1)

Highest Rated

Joe Gomez - 7.35
Marko Grujic - 7.34
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7.22.

Our new stadium plans have been complete and we shall be moving into our new home June 21st 2026. The YDWAWK experiment has failed however and the clubs purse strings are about to be open in a bid to give Anfield a perfect send off and ensure our new era is one of trophy filled dominance.

http://s30.postimg.org/mz8odlvsx/screenshot_918.png

There's a lack of quality centre backs in England.

The further along I get into this current season (approaching the final stretch now!) the more I realise I wasted £70M on Dele Alli. I thought he'd lift those around him but I should have just stuck with Allan, really.

What a joker.

Pilkington on the other hand is definitely going to be a beaut now he's getting the first team football.

I don't really have a choice as I'll make a huge loss on him. I only signed him because he's the best English player available according to the 'top players' screen.

http://s30.postimg.org/fyungg56p/screenshot_920.png

If only we kept Clyne and Hendo.

On the flip side, the youth is clearly doing well. We signed Haydon but the other two are home grown.

http://s30.postimg.org/j1vdjtk5d/screenshot_921.png

I've learned through twelve months of Dele Alli that it's clearly not based on quality. He's out for 7 weeks now too. FML.

He's got next season and that's that as far as I'm concerned. I've just seen the name for our new stadium...

Dalglish Stadium.

We move there in 2026 which gives me the rest of this season and next to build a title winning side so we leave Anfield in style.

So the 2024/2025 campaign should see another round of spending but I'm not too sure it's going to be homegrown given I want that league title so we move to the 'Dalglish Stadium' ready to dominate the world.

http://s30.postimg.org/d6ovci4ox/screenshot_931.png

England have called up Luke Hunter, Joe Gomez, Reece Oxford, Trent, James Hayden, Dele Alli, Ben Woodburn and....Gavin Pilkington for the Euro's. Filthy.

I have high hopes for that window as most of them are young and impressive enough. I'm hoping that the big buys become few and far between in the future seasons.

Aims now are simply to dominate for a while then see where we end up.

He did, yeah. He's a bit shit, though. I'd sign him anyway, but my coach team is full (I'm only allowed 10 and they won't allow anymore, which is retarded because I can splash cash on pretty much anything else).

Liverpool - Season 2027/2028

Summary

Transfers

Fakhredine Haddadi - Bought to replace Burnley bound Robert Witham, our latest PSG recruit spent a good quarter of the season injured with various problems. Appears a bit too brittle but is clearly the best available to us in his position. I'm hoping he comes back fitter for next season otherwise I may have to get rid and recoup some of the £38M.

http://s30.postimg.org/fgqsachxd/screenshot_1021.png

Yasin Ozer - £70M rising upwards by another seven but well worth it. Slotted in with ease alongside Pilkington and Bekkerbraten, Ozer's 31 strikes matching his former PSG partners. The trio scored a phenomenal 115 goals between them. (Danny Hughes grabbed 30, he was their backup). 2028 saw a few niggling injuries too which kept him out of some important games and was probably rushed him back of the final game. Not that it mattered in hindsight.

http://s30.postimg.org/e6xk91dj5/screenshot_1022.png

Transfers Out

Dele Ali left for recently promoted Doncaster for just £7.5M. Hard to believe I spunked £70M on him just four years earlier. What a twat though. Never again, Dele! Robert Witham wasn't too pleased I was ousting him out of the club but the English full-back was earning too much considering he gave up his first team spot. Marko Grujic left for Wolves after over a decade of service. Crvena Zvezda who were his first club wouldn't be his testimonial game though. More twats.

http://s30.postimg.org/hvn98ink1/screenshot_1023.png

Andrew Bishop joined him at Molineux for £9M, Joe Gomez moved on to Norwich for £11M but the biggest news of the summer was the £90M Manchester City paid out for Alan Cassio. We had purchased him for £9M so it was impossible to say no.

Season.

Our two defeats came against Manchester City and rather more surprisingly, Reading but for the most part, it was perhaps our easiest league title to date. Four times in a row which was a club first too. Man City still remain the only team to beat us at the Dalglish Stadium since our move.

http://s30.postimg.org/k1m5grge9/screenshot_1025.png

Domestically I thought we were good enough to dominate this season but we're probably one or two years away in hindsight.

It's a pointless honour but still nice to stretch your arms before the season kicks off.

http://s30.postimg.org/9im5rldq9/screenshot_1026.png

And I only tend to find the Super Cup an irritation if I lose it. It's always like a mark on the previous years success.

http://s30.postimg.org/3x4c1a2f5/screenshot_1027.png

But that wasn't going to be a problem this year. Chelsea were actually poor for the majority of the season and their final position of 7th means they've reached failed to finish in the top four for the last three years now.

We fell at the last hurdle in the EFL which was a shame given the teams we faced. Quite a difficult run in fairness.

http://s30.postimg.org/ihlew3xdt/screenshot_1028.png

And sadly Arsenal enacted a bit of revenge for their loss by dumping us out of the FA Cup.

http://s30.postimg.org/8a2vjpb5t/screenshot_1029.png

Really annoying defeats as that's three seasons on the spin we've been an FA Cup short of a 'proper' treble.

One cup we're having no diffculty in is the Champions League.

http://s30.postimg.org/drvh7i6dd/screenshot_1030.png

Manchester United faced Manchester City in the other final and ended up the eventual victors which meant the biggest final of them all. Man United had both won and retained in 2022/23 and 23/24 becoming the first club to do so in the competition's current format but Liverpool matched that feat last season, at Old Trafford of all places as Tottenham fell to defeat. This seasons final would be Man United attempting to stop a hattrick of European Cups at the Velodrome.

"Attempting."

http://s30.postimg.org/pm7tivu0x/screenshot_1031.png

We've got Man United's number now. It's City who are the most problematic.

I hope next season I get a bit more luck with injuries as we've suffered a good number of them to big players this year.

Matthew Knox has been my leading striker for the past few seasons, but he's spent the time complaining about the lack of quality up front.

I remedied this by spending £20m on Anthony Davie, an Arsenal and England U20 wonderkid. He's gone straight into the team and scored 3 in 3 so far.

Matthew Knox no longer plays.

I'm getting a little bored I noticed last night when I was playing. I've done what I can with United now really, short of overtaking Real and Barca in reputation rankings.

The thing is that I've gotten attached to the youngsters in the squad, and I kind of don't want to leave either. But if I'm going to keep playing I need a new challange soon.

In other news, Bazooer is being a complete cunt. He's on a 190k/week wage that he got after a lot of fucking moaning only last season. Now he's going on about how "AS Monaco will pay me more so I wanna leave".

In the end, I accepted an 85M bid from Bayern, because fuck him. I bet he'll end up making 150k/ week or something stupid like that.

Getting right into my Sporting Gijon save. After an abominable start to the second season, I was at 18th and Christmas with no wins. Turned it around to eventually finish 10th. Also made it to the Copa Del Rey final against Madrid. 0-0 after 120 mins and I was sure I was shitting my way to a penalty shootout win. Missed 3/4 pens and got pumped out :(

Max Romero, Carles Alena & Asier Villalibre are absolutely smashing it for me. Latter two are on loan with Alena signed up for another season (his third) and I've brought Colidio in for £6m to replace Villalibre.

Managed to sign Subotic last summer for £1.5m and he's been an absolute monster up top. Julian Green from Bayern again for about £1m is killing it as an Inside Forward.

Hoping to crack a European spot this year and keep progressing.

It's the fourth final in a row I've been in but I won the previous two.

My total record in Champions League finals is now at 3-3.

I've played United 4 times (2-2 record), Benfica once (0-1) and Atletico (1-0).

The amount of times I've played United is a bit mental. I've been in the Champions League 14 times now and we've played them at least once in all but 5 seasons. We've played them for 5 seasons in a row right now, I can't wait to play them in the final next year.

First task is to get a player on board who has played (a decent number of games) for Man Utd, with the second task being to get a club legend. If I can get promoted quick enough I'm earmarking Rooney for the latter, but have no clue on the former. Any ideas?
