The issue with rush is the teammates. I’m by no means good but 90% of my games are filled with literal retards on my team. It’s horrendous

Only two rules for this year, untradeable only in the squad and no FIFA Points. These are the lad(ette)s cobbled together as we stand:
Foden was literally just packed from one of those 77+ x2 upgrade packs and need to work out how to fit him in.
Loving Kane, Schuller and Gnabry, but the standout is Rice who moves to CDM in a 41212 and is an absolute menace. Game is really growing on me now, will post some more detailed thoughts once I've been into Rivals properly this coming weekend.

Just opened the Jumbo Rare Players Pack. 24 rare with guaranteed 84+ through the objectives (250 goals I think). Nathan Ake and a bunch of 80-75s. My lord
Haven’t hit anyone obscene so far, but my pack luck has been pretty decent so far. Got 4 walkouts in a row from one of the foundation SBC segments.
Oh and on SBC’s I haven’t done any players yet but I think I will do all the cheaper ones, a hard pass on Alaba and a probable pass on Haaland but we’ll see how the fodder goes.
Cannot believe I have been sat here for an hour thinking the ‘moments’ Ultimate milestone level was just literally impossible before releasing the game is glitched for me and the only way you can resolve it is by changing your team to 442 and having no tactics. Bloody hell
And I’ve just opened the Jumbo Rare players pack again from the above objective (is that 50k?) and got that Ruud Gullit lookalike Ake once again as my best player. Fuck sake

Stacked it with loan players. I’ll screenshot later if I remember but I’m not really sure how it was 88 rated. I had 3 players 84 or under in the starting XI.

Div 5 Rival rewards as meh as ever. Mega pack was full of consumables. 75 x 10 rare players pack gave me Alaba as highest rated and 75 x 25 rare players pack gave me Rice and Alaba and a bunch of low rated fodder
I think this version, im going down another Wolves Evo route, but this time. EVERY evo is going to be a wolves players. Even the paid versions. I will spend my coins on. The past several fifas, at the end of the game i still have millions of coins im not spending. I have been playing with untradeables for years now.
My plan is to save coins and big packs for TOTY as trying to pack one of those bad boys is just fun and there's always a power curve spike from the SBC's anyway. That said, tempted by that Octopus evo on a packed Renato Sanches I have. You can stick another one on him afterwards and make him an 84 that looks very tidy.

There are/were some corner settings right at the bottom of the roles section (free kicks/corners etc.) but they're very minimal.
Oh and having played a load of Rivals last night Harry Kane has to go. Much like England this summer, I was genuinely better with ten men.

Anyone settled on a formation yet? I think I’ve used just about every 4 at the back so far
Ive used the 433 holding with one falseback which works well. However the ST is often isolated as i havent found out how to get thr CMs to run beyond him.

The server situation somehow made worse due to that stupid turnstyles are busy message, which you watch count down before it dies.
Have your wingers as inside forwards if you don’t already. I’m not having issues that side of the pitch but maybe that’s why i concede so much. Need to try find a happy medium
The upgrade path for those new promo cards is the dumbest thing I think they’ve ever done in that regard. So few of them are going to get anything more than a +1.

The booking system on this game is completely broken. Guys smashing you from behind as the last man not even being booked but you’re getting red cards for jockeying and giving away fouls
If it’s team goals for one of the upgrades I’ll change my mind on this.
Packed my first promo card in Kean from one of the Otamendi objective packs earlier.
I have a pretty sweet upgrade path available for this kid (some Utd player I've never even heard of, but #herewego). Got him 1st Owner a little while back and figured he'd come good in an Evo path at some point

Been tweaking tactics in a 433 CDM and ive found that i need to put my wingers on wide playmakers attack. The fullist heat map shows them right by the corner flags which is where i want them. High up against the opps fullbacks.
This give my two cms more room in the center. With one of my full backs inverting. I can just toy and frustrate my opponents and recycle the ball in the middle.
I havent given long ball FC a go yet. Anyone used Thuram POTM yet?
I find L1+ through ball passes work well around the box if you have a player running onto it. A few times ive been caught out where ive put my striker through and it looks like the ball will favour the defender, but your striker strongarms the defender out the way.

I got a tradeable Foden and Gundogan from Squid Battles which was a sweet 130k or so into the account.
Played one game on SB World Class and he felt like an absolute lummox. Might need a formation change to get the most out of him.
Talking of Squad Battles, I've been utterly fucked this week with my first four games - all 80+ rated squads.
Squad battles is a bit of a cheat code for packs and stuff if you can be arsed grinding it. Thankfully wfh makes it somewhat manageable
