What, a party with almost an entire manifesto based on race winning some seats?

It's rising in Scandanavia too, no? Standard of living there is still pretty good last time I looked.

I did not and I'd obviously correct my opinion if it's as bad as you say, but it's simply not helpful labelling them fascists. It doesn't address the issues, embolden's their current voter base and brings more to the party as well.

We went through all of this with Brexit, how the hell are we making the same mistakes again?

If the SNP are as fucked as the exit poll suggests then that's a win in my book.

Sturgeon's face was a picture, the daft twat.

But it's just so obvious the Tories view everyone who isn't them and their rich mates as actual pond scum. Even old people must be able to see it. Finding out that the Tories were having a good old piss-up when they couldn't visit their dying spouse because of covid restrictions, for example.

How anyone can look at themselves in the mirror knowing they voted for someone who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire in case it splashed their shoes is beyond me.

AS for the SNP, I'd have a lot more respect for them if they were just honest and admitted they hate the English.

The Tories repeatedly pointed out that Labour would see their state pensions taxed for the first time ever and Labour weren't exactly strong in rebuffing that.

That was a massive L from Labour, given it amounted to something like £27 a year.

That is so shit. There were signs that their support was ebbing in the last few days. They should be on 500 seats with this Tory number.

It amazes me that these people can't see the obvious. Labour didn't really win. The Tories lost and Labour are the obvious answer in what is essentially a 2 party system. Nobody is expecting this lot to do much.

Yeah, they'd dropped from 44% to 40% on the last poll I saw. It's indicative of how bland their campaign was I'd suggest and for me almost makes this a Tory loss rather than a Labour landslide. The shittest government in my lifetime and the opposition only got just over a third of the votes? If that's correct it just isn't right.

I don’t think there is level of malevolence in the Conservative Party. They’re incompetent, tone deaf and probably stupid but I don’t believe they actively hate people. There’s enough material to beat them with without exaggerating.

It's why I took umbrage with what Mandelson was saying earlier in that this campaign was better and the result more remarkable than Blair's first term. I remember that vividly, have watched loads of shit on it since and it's not even close.

The exit polls are usually pretty shit for Scotland so expect even less seats for SNP.

Tories gaining here is hilarious but not surprising

It was hugely surprising for me. I expected the SNP losses, but I expected the Tories to be completely annihilated. Why have they done comparatively well up there?

I've been saying all along that somebody actually doing what they promised in 2019 would win. It makes you wonder how long a competent government that built houses, brought immigration back to nineties levels, and ruthlessly squashed criminals could reign supreme for.

Labour Scotland are a joke and got lolled out the country in 2014. Nice one, Jim.

I don’t think people have deliberately got the tories back in. A lot of SNP voters will have changed to Labour and in doing so handed the tories the seat. A lot of farmers in Scotland too. Cunts
