Getting donned by Danny Welbeck and Adam Lallana in 2023/24. Give up.
Figuring out what a Cole Palmer is and why it's worth 42.5m quid
Saudi oil money everywhere
Chelsea Boehl money everywhere
United rummaging around in the bargain bin
It being done for another few months
Something sensible like your club actually signing somebody decent
Getting donned by Danny Welbeck and Adam Lallana in 2023/24. Give up.
Welbz is such a don. If he had knees he’d be an all timer.
West Ham gonna beat Brighton, Man City and Chelsea with about 60% combined possession
Hoyland is going to set all sorts of records for sprints and decoy runs while Rashford runs the shot clock into the ground.
Getting handled by Brighton B but r/Virgins still thinking Eth/Casemiro/Martinez aren't finished. What a Saturday.
‘The Butcher’ sent for a ride there by Gross
Lucky to even have 6 points. Wolves missed a boat load of chances in that opening game and then obviously Forest bottling the 2-0 lead.
How long until he’s under pressure? So far he’s binned off Ronaldo(right call but very costly), spent 90 million on a wife beater and basically written off another 70 million forward.
The football isn’t brilliant and the results aren’t that much better. Realistically Rashford having a purple patch coupled with Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea shitting the bed is what got them into the top 4.
He’s done fine but they have been going backwards since the Carabao cup win.
They will probably can him if he doesn't get top four this season.
Ole without a job must be tempting for the management.
Sheffield United outSpursing Spurs. Send them down already.
Most ridiculous penalty decision there for the diving lesbian.
There's another ridiculous one.
Craig Pawson's family obviously on an all expenses paid trip to wither the Kingdom or the nearest Embassy.
May as well can him now then. He's clearly done. It's not all his fault, but what has he created? A better work ethic? A style of play, to the extent that you can call it that, entirely at odds with what United fans expect with little prospect of improvement beyond individuals doing stuff. The goalie also looks absolute shite.
Ten Haag has implemented a playstyle, but his problem is that it is one of counter attacking football. It works okay, but against your better teams you need more than that. Is it correct he has yet to win away to a "top 6" rival? Never mind the full on humpings he got given away to City and Liverpool last year.
He was helped last season by Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool descending into lols. This time around two of those seem to have sorted their act out a bit and that really leaves him battling Newcastle for 5th.
He's also spend fuck loads of money on players that he clearly wanted, despite Neville trying to say the Norwich scarves need to come back again. It's not really progressing though. United fans want attacking football, but I'm not sure he is the man to get it flowing.
Alright, I've looked at the INCIDENTS from wor match.
- Wilson's disallowed goal: Bit soft. Keeper could've dealt with it, even in the scramble.
- The penalty that was given: There's contact but Gordon's never getting there and the ball's going dead. Harsh on Brentford.
- The penalty not given: Right call. Defender's just doing his job and it's deflected onto his hand.
Lucky to come away with 3 points but I think Wilson's goal should've (probably) stood.
Let's sack him because he's lost a few games. Get a grip FFS.
I mean, I'm not a United fan, but I think the problem may go a bit deeper than losing 3 of your first 5 games (which would have been unthinkable a short while back). He turned CR7 against the club, oversaw what appears to be a rape syndicate and has now written off an £80 million signing.
Get you Norwich scarf out you slut.
Overseeing a rape syndicate might be a bit harsh. Did the Greenwood stuff happen on his watch [not that it is at all relevant if it did]? Obviously there are various off field problems [sexual abuse, ownership] which are beyond his control and would be difficult for anyone to deal with, but there are other things, like having no style of play beyond punting it over the top and hoping Rashford does something, spending the best part of £200m on players from your old club [this should always be a red flag] whilst at the same time never playing the one you duped United into buying before you took up the reigns [and then a big wedge on Real Madrid retirement plans], falling out with players, making Bruno Fernandes captain, getting outplayed more often than not, getting absolutely reamed on occasion [3 of the biggest beatings on record against Liverpool in 4 attempts] and generally having the air of not being in control.
They've been in the business of stealing results for years, but particularly under Ten Hag [look at both wins this season]. Throw Champions League commitments into the mix and I don't see how things are going to improve. Obviously need to give him time though.
Looking forward to Shearer’s passive aggression towards Greenwood next season.
I'm a twit
His away record especially in the capitulations are poor. Him signing players he's familiar with (overblown but anyway) it's more symptomatic of a club with no scouting strategy than the manager. He's been hard on player conduct (which was a stick to beat OGS on with indulging the workshy) and in the right (Sancho he gave ample time and support to not be a waster).
On the pitch, again it could be better but considering the start to the season (injuries, player drama, late signings and late not sellings) then it's understandable we're not playing as well as possible. Time will tell and I'm sure Liverpool fans will continue to watch us and offer their insights.
He did win a trophy last season and get to another final. Upsetting Sancho and Ronaldo doesn't seem that big a deal when they're not performing on the pitch.
The day Thiago Silva retires, the day Chelsea are back.
He’s so fucking bad.
Why is 'Poch' insisting on playing Colwill at leftback [if the BBC have it right that is]?
Is it just me or has the flick/scoop pass seemingly made a resurgence this season?
Or has it happened in the wake of that offside rule interpretation query?
Chelsea’s bench is so bad. How?!
I'm a twit
They haven't had enough investment.
This kit marks a new low.
How the fuck can you be offside from a direct free kick? That bloke can go in the bin with George Russell.
You are indeed not understanding this right.
Mudryk is absolute bobbins. Arsenal must be laughing their heads off at missing out on him
Man Utd being bad is fun, but this Chelsea team is comedy gold.
Anyone who predicted Chelsea to come top six this season, which was more or less everyone by the way, should hang their heads in fucking shame.
Bournemouth will win this from a set piece or on the break.
No idea what Poch is up to with these line ups. Just playing folk out of position for no reason. Still, should have scored at least twice by now.
I’m not even sure Jackson needed the operation.
They just don’t shoot. Lol. All about the possession stats and passes
At least timing might finally coincide for United to appoint SmallPockets.
I think it might be time to conclude that Poch is a fraud that was made to look good by a very good Spurs side.
Managers just turn into boring bastard when they walk into a Chelsea dugout. Poch never played this cancerous football at spurs. Far too scared to lose a game or goal. Pass, pass, pass. Didn’t even look like they tried to win at the end.
He has the best young defender in the league playing left back to accommodate a 40 year old. He has Conor Gallagher playing deep when the only position he’s passable is ‘10’ or at least further away from his own box. He has the young player of the World Cup playing further forward when he should be dictating play from the middle. He’s had Chilwell at left wing up until today.
James, Fofana, Nkunku, Badiashile, Chukwuemka and even Madueke should all walk into the team but they’re too busy being injured. Even Lavia is out for weeks now.
Manager isn't the problem. You're thinking too short term. The problem is that they've spent billions of pounds and don't have anything that anyone could turn into a football eleven.
£1bn spend and Conor Gallagher trotting out as captain. These two things should not go together.
