The snow season has started. Pretty pathetic effort here but expecting more by middle of next week.
It’s -1, minus fucking one, degrees. You’d swear by the news it was -20. There’s a cunt on now warning about how many deaths there will be. We were all going to die of the heat at 28 degrees a few months ago. Some load of shite all in the name of pushing climate change.
There's been no mention of Climate Change here. That only happens when it's hot or a big storm turns up. Here the pressing concern is the "Cost of Living Crisis". Which is fair, because the heating actually is fucking expensive right now.
More importantly though, I've had to scrape the car windows 2 days on the trot now. Unacceptable.

Not much snow here (a bit), but me and the Arab are the only ones in the team who have made it in. So much work from home grifting takes place nowadays.
We've just been getting a light dusting and then it usually freezes overnight.
I hope it stays at -5 for ages, I'm a sweaty mess after about five minutes of brisk walking in shorts when it's about 8°, so it's nice to have a bit of the year where I can wear my nice coats and jumpers and stuff.

I've got a work mate over from Austria and he's absolutely baffled by our lack of contingencies for snowy weather, particularly winter tyres.

My water pipe seems to be frozen.
The "out pipe" of the boiler freezing is the worst.

Just looked and felt the pipe outside and it seems fine but I haven't even got a drop of water.
The insulation on my flat is disgraceful with small gaps around windows and doors when it was built leading to draughts. My living room heater seems to be broken too and given I have a protracted move on the horizon I cba to get someone to come fix it so I've had a mix of a small ceramic fan heater and hot water bottle to get through this. Hideous waste of energy and effort.
Is that including cold from the mains?
We have about half a meter of snow, which os pretty unusual for mid December. Everything looks pretty nice, but the next day or two will be annoying to get about before all the roads are cleared.

Guy just came he said the pipe is 100% frozen, the pipe work is illegal (+1 for Polish dodgy builders) and it may burst just from temperature changes over this week.
