This is it. Regardless of taking the piss out of net spend look at Liverpools since he took over and it will tell you the job he has done. He hasn’t ever been allowed to splurge apart from Van Dijk, Fabinho and Allison and that was only because Barca overpaid for Coutinho.

Even in 2019/20 the back up strikers were Origi and Shaqiri and beyond that there wasn’t much. We just got lucky with injuries that season which meant they weren’t needed as much.
