Got smashed yesterday on the Nasdaq. Dropped 3.5% and I was buying into it. Margin called. Game over.
Smaller accounts are difficult and you have to blast through levels and basically lay the whole account down to get anywhere, so there's always a risk. 25-50k is the sweet spot I think. You can play it differently. The big one is definitely doable and if we'd started in May 2020 rather than a big fuck off bear market we might have. Also I would've happily shorted the fuck out of that crypto ponzi for 2 months at 125%, so shame Binance locked the UK leverage account out. But we didn't, so fuck it.
I'm obviously not going again. It is exhausting trading that close to the edge and I'm focusing earning a living on my other account (more capital, slower pace), plus I think losing other people's money twice is more than enough.
So yeah, soz. 10 mil from 5k was a big ask, but I do wish we'd done it at a better time. We'd have cleared targets quicker and far less exposure to getting shagged. Ruthless environment at the min.
