His personal brand is stronger in Paris, so you can see why he would shirk a move.
If Madrid have anything about them they should be lining up Nkunku as we speak.
Real aren't going to take him not going there well, so hopefully he trolls them hard this week and it sends them into an existential crisis ahead of the final.
More likely he'll make some sort of appearance to conform the move next Saturday.

Liverpool wont break their wage structure for a guy who may be about to win his 3rd golden boot in his 5th year here. Mbappe would likely be another 50% of what Salah wants on top of that. By the numbers being thrown about, there's only really 3 clubs in the world who can afford him. City, Madrid and PSG.
I don't think Bayern have the funds for this one either. However he's still only 23 now, so he could go to Madrid/stay at PSG for another 3/4 years, then if it doesnt work he could move on to whoever he wants and still only just be entering his prime.
What I mean is why is he basically pricing himself into that as a footballer wouldn't you rather just go where the biggest chance is of winning the biggest trophies. Rather than pissing away the next 4 years just to earn £300 million rather than £100 million. If he wants to win the big prizes and the individual accolades it's not likely whilst he's at PSG. Especially if he is having to carry an ageing Messi and a waster like Neymar.
I mean I'm normally in the "it's so much money anyway, does it really make a difference to your life" camp, but...half a billion quid.
I think you could argue that taking those two seasons, Rashford's best 'statistically' by some margin, somewhat skews the perception being created. Perhaps those seasons are the outliers, and this season just gone, and the ones before the sample are equally, if not more representative of his ability.
Sterling, Son and Mané with 13, 21 and 15 league goals this season respectively.
Of course, he's still reasonably young, but as the Alli example shows, it's not always a smooth upward trajectory into your theoretical prime.
He's already won the biggest trophy available to him for France and he's being offered stupid amounts of money to stay and play in his home city. Would winning La Liga be anything more to him than Ligue 1? Probably not.
If they're also willing to put him in charge of everything, then he'll also decide which players they go and buy. That might be a big factor.
He also might not particularly care right now if he ever wins the Champions League or not. Maybe he will later on. Everyone is different.
The thing with Rashford is whether his moodiness and demotivation is due to not recovering from pretty severe back and shoulder injuries. If that's permanently slowed him down then maybe he will be dropping down.
Raphinha being linked to United. An actual left-footer right winger after all this time would be something. He seems to be all but guaranteed to go to Barca though.
Who are our Leeds fans? How good is he?

There's an argument which comes up a lot in eSports about how it's very difficult to be competitive in international competitions, regardless of how good your players are on paper, if the rest of the teams in your league are weak.
If your opposition play against much better teams week in week out than you do, they are likely to be at a higher level than you when it comes to competing against each other. Essentially their practice is much better than yours.
I think this applies to a team like PSG in football but it's not a factor I ever really see brought up. Perhaps there's an obvious reason I'm missing as to why it's less applicable.
The good players go to good leagues (Portugal, Holland, Belgium, South America), so it doesn't fit football on a team basis. He might be less good than he otherwise could be though.
You don't think PSG, with their current team, might be better if they played their League football in England or Spain? I think they would.
I'd say they would, although someone was saying to me the other night that they didn't think Ligue 1 was really any 'weaker' than most of the other major European Leagues outside the Premier League.
Being a big fish in a small pond doesn't seem to hold Bayern back in the same way it does PSG, so perhaps it's more that they've recruited a bunch of overpaid flouncy twats that's the real problem.
Two different teams have won in the last 6 years outside of PSG. A lot less dominant than Juve and Bayern have been for the past decade lol
Outside of Real Madrid haven't Bayern pretty much matched what anyone else has done in the European Cup over the last 20 years or so? 3 wins and a few other finals where they've lost?
Looks like Pogba going back to Juve again.
As good as a signing for Utd.
Lol at Madrid tbh.
Does he control EVERYTHING now?
So Madrid go from lol we’ll sign both Mbappe and Haaland to getting nothing.
Can’t help but feel a shopping spree is coming to try and let this wash over.
Their team is set anyway. Outside of Benzema and maybe Modric all their better players are mid 20s at most. Don’t think they even need to go too mad.
Madrid fans all whinging on about how he's disrespected the club and they never want him to play for Madrid
They'll all be giving themselves friction burns on their cocks at the prospect of him joining when he starts twerking for them again in two years.
Real should offer all that cash to Haaland now. Gazzumping Man City would be lovely![]()
Hopefully he puts his mum in charge.
I see Tebas has taken the Mbappe stuff predictably well.![]()
I'm make myself third choice goalkeeper.
Or manager and holiday mode the rest of my contract.
I can deal with the social media accounts whilst phonics is pulling pints.
I think they're taking it well.

I didn't think Man City would be beaten in the small time stakes but La Liga have destroyed them.
They've got a point.
Yep. Were Barcelona done in by La Liga's rules or was it something more global? Honestly, Ligue 1 should rein PSG in.
Hilarious and they’re obviously only doing it through the seethe, but football is pretty fucked though. I don’t think it’ll be many more years before thought pieces about the US system being better are commonplace.
Looks like Tchouameni is going to PSG now Mbappe's in charge.
More incredible seethe inbound.
They should just sign every player Real Madrid go in for.
I see Carvalho has been confirmed today to Liverpool.
