No, but then the Barca Mate people didn't really understand the nuances of Pep's innovative high press, they just thought that 'tiki taka' sounded sophisticated.

The new breed are mainly stats junkies and call the players such things as TB12 and A-Rod.
UK celebrities (and people from other sports) getting "into it" due to Wembley hosting a few games annoys me.
"And now we go to our special guest, Richard Blackwood..."
It's definitely not "NFL, mate" in the same way that "Barca, mate" was. It's mostly just nerds who got a hard-on for American culture and violence. Nobody's claiming Buffalo vs. Cleveland is art.
It's just a stretch for a taste of over-there glamour in the same way we somehow end up holding protests against their police brutality. The actual sport is not terribly different to, say, rugby league, as far as I can see, but no one watches that - who wants to support Wigan when you can 'root for' Philadelphia.
I feel attacked.
NFL is all about the spectacle and it's worth sitting through the dross plays for the magic moments. It is gloriously mental on and off the pitch and the best yank sport. The boom here is probably a double whammy of the international series and britball being popular (though corona doing it's best to reverse that), with Sky offering Redzone which is the best way to watch it.
Every time I see a lateral pass in American Football, my brain explodes.
Thiago starts, I'm getting the baby oil out.
Utd's lineup leaked already by the looks of things.
De gea, AWB, lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, pogba, matic, Mata, Bruno, rashford, greenwood

Great tackle pickford
How's he got away with that? Offside or not, that's a yellow card. Awful challenge.
Dont understand what happens there, surely Pickfod should be punished wether its offside or not?
I understand that it's not a penalty if he is offside but he should be sent off.
Pickford killing van dyk will improve the spectacle of the game. Nice one.
Interesting with var then if they know someone is offside but play on. Free hit basically.
Pickford does that sound of lunge often though and seems to get away with it because he’s a keeper.
Love the retardedness of that refereeing decision. That was no challenge, that was violent conduct from the cunt.
They must have created Thiago in a lab somewhere, that technique is computer game stuff ffs.
Jesus, the still of that tackle is making me cross my legs.
Finally switched over and bought IPTV rather than online streams. Fucking glorious.
I've been half watching the Old Firm and Rangers have played Celtic off the park.
Fuck off was that offside.
Please please let COVID kill off the little that is left of this sport![]()
Both my fpl players score and it ends in a draw. Perfect result.
Everton will never beat Liverpool again.
Judging by this, you are now allowed to score with your upper arm.
He can score with his shoulder blade, has anyone got any shirtless pics of Mane from behind? Maybe it protrudes beyond where that guy's arse is.
Don't even fucking give them the oxygen by posting and discussing pictures of it. It's a cancer and a fine indictment of dickhead society's obsession with technology.
If they had drawn the line properly his foot would be off.
If Everton had scored from the free kick at the end it would have been a perfect ending.
There's a cracking zoomed in photo of the VVD offside ehere they've drawn his armpit from his elbow. But I won't post it because I am rising above it.
What I'm not rising above is that cam addicted aftertiming beta cuck posting shit.
The tears
Liverpool look crap, and have done since the restart. They'll be lucky to finish in the top four, especially if VVD is out for any significant period.
The best team in the league
They’ve played a bunch of nobodies. It was so obvious I’ve had Calvert Lewin from the beginning and I’m an idiot.
Liverpool will stop being crap at some point, which everyone else can't do, so they should be fine.
xG had it right then?
Meh, I hate VAR, but Liverpool got loads of odd offsides last year so I guess this is leveling it out (although the Mané one is quite perplexing). It removes all the joy from the game. That said, if you're going to have it, then it needs to be the bullshit absolute line/armpit offside style and I just hope they don't waiver from that to some sort of margin of error/ruling on the field stands type fiasco (as is the case with penalties within the system).
VAR will be done away with once the European Super League is formed. English football will be left with Sean Dyche endlessly discussing anatomy.
Loving Wycombe's goal against Millwall. I'm not sure I'll ever tire of this madness of getting 'keepers to 'be good on the ball'. They're shit. It's why they are goalkeepers. When you are a kid it's always the shittest player who goes in goal, and this extends all the way through the system.
Werner playing upfront and raping teams. Who woulda funk it?
People complaining about VAR while the real nail in the coffin of the game is us playing in dark blue today.
Is there any hope of VAR being binned?
Calvert-Lewin is brilliant. Best jump bar Ronaldo?
Pickford can't be no1 for England. There's always the possibility that he does completely the wrong thing if the only choice isn't to dive sideways (which he's great at, but which doesn't make up for the calamities).
