They seem determined not to sell and he seems pretty content to stay.
Oh. Handn’t seen that. Someone’s getting fleeced then.
He goes to a 'bigger club' and he just becomes some random winger, probably from the bench. He needs to be the focal point of a team.
Or he becomes the next Salah / Mahrez.
Is that transfer request official or is it just Evening Standard clickbait?
All the ES have to go on these days is Palace transfer rumours and Scotty Parker's bowel movements.
Richarlison, he of three good months at the start of last season, is off to Everton for close to £50m. Ridiculous. Makes the £60m we got for Mahrez more insulting.
How do Everton have this much money? I thought last season was them spunking their entire load
That is probably the most Everton thing that has ever happened, even more so than when Denis Stracqualursi netted against us.
We have now signed this Danny Ward guy who Huddersfield fans say is ok in the championship and who couldnt get close to troubling Mingolet and Karius. Hopefully just back up and if Schmeichel goes well sign someone more senior and reputable. Hosing £10-12m on back up keepers though... I dunno.
Spent a season on loan at Aberdeen recently and wasn't even their undisputed first choice.
Obviously its been done to death but the transfer fee inflation really is insane, still some come around I cant get my head around. When we got promoted four years ago we spent £6m rising to £8m on Leo Ulloa to spearhead our attack and it seemed very steep, so much so his song referenced the high fee. Now we are spending nearly more than double on a reserve keeper who hasnt really played much football at 25 years old. 2014 Ulloa would probably go for like £20m now or something.
£50m for Richar "no goals since November" lison? £12.5m for a 'keeper who's never played a minute of top flight football (or has he)? Where does this end?
I don't know how you make that Richarlison deal in good faith. £39m profit in 11 months.
In fairness, Richarlison had an almost identical minutes per goal stat (565.4) as Sigurdsson (565.5) last season. How much was he? £40m?
And those fees for a load of shit are absurd. Surely it's got to the stage where you just promote a kid/shop abroad.
Also, we're not going full Leeds for another year or two:

Jack Colback's loaned out to Forest for the last year of his contract. Shame.
Allahu Tractor.
Ozil has gone hard on the German football people as he has now retired from international football. Accused them of racism and the rest of it in a two-page statement.

I can understand how he feels. But that's the microwave era we now live in today. When you do bad, the whole world will get on you.

When he leaves Arsenal.
They should have sold him already. This new manager may give him a burst of life if they play him as a CAM but I don't think that is happening. He will probably be out wide in a 433. I want arsenal to play with two strikers and a diamond midfield. They have no natural wide men anymore.
Another Portuguese midfielder on the way to Wolves. Moutinho for £5m has been agreed with Monaco on a two year deal.
What's going on there then (obvious aside)? Didn't they want £50m for him last summer?
He is shit, thats why.
Chelsea want Martial to replace Willian.
That seems astute.
Martial has more to give than Mourinho let's him IMO, and while Willian is solid, great and a great player to have, he sometimes to me almost seems painfully consistent at his level which I can't explain well but is sort of very high, but never outstanding (if that makes sense to anyone).
He's the running version of Michael Carrick for me. He's also a man of integrity given how Chelsea downed tools a few years ago.
Read through Ozils statement I have to say, fair play to him.
I'd take Martial in a heartbeat. For once we could be the beneficiaries of Mourinho's young player blind spot.
It would be amazing if Martial moved on and instantly, was a success somewhere else.
Yeah, the whole thing would obviously have a little more Punch if Ozil was at the top of his game, ca 2013 or whenever he was being great for Real Madrid, basically.
He should have the season of his life, but I just don't believe in him anymore unless he is playing central.
He got the no. 10 shirt now didn't he, so you imagine Emery might want to use him in that role.
Think it's a little too late for a proper redemption from him though.
I can’t fucking wait for Phonics / Arsenal Twitter to see that.
I suppose he even had to retire like a coward. Good on the German FA and its Bavarian outriders rubbishing it though. Here we would have launched an urgent review and staged a helicopter crash for Dave Whelan.
An urgent review headed up by Hope Powell and Jason Roberts. Still, I suppose unlike the Germans we have a shameful history when it comes to the way we manage ethnicity.
German FA prejudice is the only reason Sol Campbell isn't the Germany captain to this day.
Bastards.
