This is going to be a really hard game and I'll be a mess right the way through again.

Their recent form is a little bit patchy and they're leaking loads of goals. We've also got a brilliant home record against teams in the top half. But their away record against sides at the top is outstanding. I wouldn't put money on it. I do think we're going to win though.

They'll be demoralised after City smash us 7-1 to wrap up 4th spot. Leicester all the way.

Carnival atmosphere at the Amex.

Fulham weren't that bad until they went to bits, a few times. After about 80 minutes it looked like they might concede a goal every 30 seconds.

I think Towell was on the bench the other week.

He's not going to get any game time. Not the time of the season to be blooding people. Hughton is mega loyal to players who are playing well (look at how Bong can't even get 20 minutes game time at the moment) and Stephens and Kayal are probably the best midfield pairing in the division, so it's probably not that poor a reflection on him.

Wilson did well tonight after looking a bit of a disinterested prick for the first 20 minutes.

Giggles niko_cee I thought his best chance would be sub appearances when we bring on an extra midfielder, but like you say niko, it's not the right time of the season. Sidwell is doing quite well off the bench too.

With Sidwell there, there's absolutely no point in bringing him on. I had just noticed he was on the bench against Forest so I was wondering. If they go up, he'll be gone anyway.

It's amazing that the police haven't yet worked out that having games stupidly early in an effort to stop people turning up pissed is counterproductive. Rather than having a breakfast before the pub and drinking pints before the game, a midday Sunday kick off just means people stock up on MD, Buckfast, and spirits the night before and start on an empty stomach at six in the morning.

There hasn't been a majority English team that's done anything in nearly a decade and a half because, guess what, most English players aren't very good.

Right, so what should be done? As far as I can tell what you want is for the big clubs to sell their foreigners and start fielding teams of Englishmen to no real benefit.

Find a top level European club putting out a majority of domestic players on a regular basis and offer their blueprint up as an example.

What Arsene said I largely agree with:

“The referees are professional people. You’re supposed to be impartial whatever happens so, on some level, [it appears that] someone doesn’t believe completely that the referee is impartial."

Doing this only invites the idea that these folks can't remain impartial and professional Slippery slopes, and what not..

To be fair to Everton they probably should be in the hunt for Europa League places. They've probably had the best team they've had in a fair few years now and are wasting it.

Baines and Jagielka are the wrong side of 30 now and Lukaku, Stones and Barkley are all likely to be off in the summer. Unless they get replaced well you're looking at a struggling team.

You just have to look at the teams and work out where the players would be playing to see it's poor.

Johanson and Boyata could probably play for shit premier league teams. Bitton maybe too. The rest are championship fodder at best.

Anyone with a semblance of PL quality is snapped up immediately because they look completely a class above. See Wanyama, Van Dijk. Van Dijk looked like he was operating at a canter whenever I saw him playing in the SPL. A centre back taking (and scoring) free kicks...

It would benefit Scottish football in the long-term, as it has Wales having two decent sides in the English system. It was also a penalty to West Ham, but he should have given a penalty to Leicester soon after when Huth was held. He was looking right at it and bottled it, regretted it and that presumably is why he gave the penalty at the end for fuck all.

It's the inconsistency, really. Other players will make that 'dive' and he won't book them, and you simply can't give a penalty against Morgan and then not against Ogbonna.

The only reason I can think of is that the West Ham defenders are at least jostling for the ball. Morgan had no intention of playing the ball and was just intent on taking the player out.

It shouldn't be controversial though. Dives like the vardy one should be a booking every single time. If you're doing something unnatural to force contact or throwing yourself down it should be a yellow.

I love how sanctimonious people get about diving. There isn't a club that exists that doesn't have players doing it.

I don't. I lol at people who pretend their players don't.

The best example I have of "cheating" is Suarez handling the ball off the line in the World Cup quarter-final. If that was Northern Ireland and our player didn't do the same thing, I'd have been absolutely seething. When you realise that, there's simply no argument I can make about "cheating" without being a hypocrite.

I've said it before but it's too rife now that it just needs to be accepted and looked on as a skill. Vardys only problem today was it was too shit to fool the ref, he needs to get better.
