Didn't Spain once do a half midnight kickoff in order to technically have a game on the next day for contractual reasons? Bring it in, I say.

Aitor Karanka apparently told the Boro players he 'didn't want to manage them' in a team meeting last night, and it's been announced that Steve Agnew will be in charge for the game tomorrow against Charlton.
Boro won't want to lose him so I reckon it's just a cooling off period.

Also, next season the Prem may have Guardiola, Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp and Benitez all managing in the division. With special mention for Conte, Ranieri and Pochettino. Never been stronger, surely?

Basically called all the players cunts in the press after the midweek defeat as well.
Crazy if Boro don't go up this year with that outlay and squad.

Has Wilfried Bony done anything in this game so far? I can't remember him touching the ball.
Hard to see City scoring, here. They're just not a very good team.

They're not even very good individuals. There's Aguero and Silva (who hasn't been great this season) and then De Bruyne when he comes back. Other than those three it's a fairly mediocre squad.

Where's the strength in their squad, then? Sterling? The plodding midfield duo of Fernando and Fernandinho? Toure? Ok m8 but when you consider the strength of the other BIG FOUR they have the strongest squad.
Only if you think that those players are still at the same level as they were at the last time they won the league, which they blatantly aren't. The difference between their squad and anyone of the other top teams is basically just Aguero.

Costa getting banned for the rat of the season would be about the best thing that could happen of his performance yesterday was reflective of anything to come. Last competition Chelsea had any hope in and he looked less interested than post-strop William Gallas. Bertrand Traore has looked okay lately, give him a chance up front for a few games and fuck Costa back off to Atletico in the summer.
Waffdon
13-03-2016, 12:59 PM
Costa has been great recently. You can't pin yesterday on him - your midfield was a travesty and then Cahill and Azpilicueta done there usual.
Whoever takes over needs to do a complete overhaul as well as playing the yoofs - doubt they'll be allowed though
Mikel, Willian and Fabregas were fine. The latter is an overrated wank but he did play some good passes yesterday. Matic was much as he's been all season and Pedro is just a bit useless. The defence were a bombs are (why does Cahill constantly turn his back on the ball?) but they could have been a couple up with a striker interested enough to actually run now and then.
Pedro is a bit crap, isn't he? He gets the ball in space and runs forward, taking his man on, looking so enthusiastic and promising, then gets tackled / falls over. Rinse and repeat.

It's probably the best team I've seen in a long while. Lanzini, Kouyate, Adrian, Noble and Cresswell have all been excellent but Payet is such a class above that it's unreal.
I'd go so far as to say he's the best player I've seen at the club since Di Canio.

Streams are temporary, single source things, so there's no burning need to keep a good one private. Torrents rely on people who download them being willing to seed and let the next person download off them, so it's the fact that the site is private that makes the torrent good.

It's a shame no-one ever invented software that blocks adverts, a sort of advert blocker if you will. I bet millions of people would use that.
What is the general view on Wenger amongst Arsenal fans? Surely the habitual spring collapse has become too regular for there not to be fairly serious murmurings of discontent.

To the extent he could be sacked / eased out the door without some sort of BACKLASH, I mean. He's always struck me as basically being able to decide for himself when he wanted to chuck it rather than having it decided for him, but I get the impression now that that dynamic has shifted. Fuck knows if that's accurate or not, however.

Again, it's well well past that point. He's protected A) by an administration that thinks he's doing a fucking incredible job and B) by the fact that our home support is 95% twats who ultimately don't give enough of a shit to stay angry at anyone for more than a week. They're the sort of mongs who still think the problem with Wenger is his transfer policy. I'd say the away support is mostly anti-Wenger, although it's tempered by the knowledge that the whole club is run by a bunch of cunts and as such nothing's likely to change quickly.

I'm watching my first MLS 'game'. We're starting with, for some reason, the Canadian national anthem. I mean, clearly it's because Toronto are playing, but come on. Pirlo is pulling a face that asks 'What?'
Somebody is heckling during the star spangled banner, or maybe their passion has overcome them. I dunno. What the night's spectacle definitely gives proof of, though, is that the flag was still there.
The back three for one of the teams is Saunders, Hernandez and Briliant. How USA.

Wait, this is Yankee Stadium? We should get Spurs playing at Lord's.
I watched them play a week or so ago, as did Lee and Yev, and it's brilliantly shit.
One goal came from a defender kicking a teammate in the head at the same time he was handling it through for a striker to pop in the corner. Another came from the defence trying to play offside fifty yards from goal while a midfielder just ran through unnoticed to wind up onside and in fifteen yards of open space in all directions.
It was like watching one of those old games with Zaire or someone who doesn't have a full handle on the rules.

I haven't seen any of this but I remember that hurling match there a few months back and the pitch was tiny to fit it in to the shape of the baseball stadium.
EDIT: Actually I think that was Fenway, but it's probably the same dimensions as Yankee.

It's on the smaller side.
110 yards (101 m) x 70 yards (64 m) according to Wiki.
Maximum is 130 yards by 100 whilst the minimum is 100 yards by 50.
Edit: It's only 4.4 yards narrower than Old Trafford actually. It seems it's about normal.
Apparently 115 by 74 is the average for the bigger teams.

This is it. It's partly because MLS as a league still has an 'us-against-the-world' mentality, as a function of a) its shitness; b) it being a relatively minor sport in America, so there's really that much antipathy between teams.
I was at the RSL game yesterday afternoon, won off our massive Colombian centerback beating their goalkeeper to a floated cross in the 86th minute. Seattle fans are the apex of loud and shit chants, and they always have big away support here.
