What a fucking man. 13 minutes into his season. That's it - that's the big moment in the title winning narrative, there always has to be one. Leicester have had about 5 of the fucking things, but we might just have had the only one so far that matters.
Still fancy Leicester to do it, mind.

9/1 for them to drop out of the top four. :nodd:
Morale crushing defeat....worth a quid.
Why do people keep going on about the top four? The top four is fixed now, nobody below is good enough to win that number of points to overhaul them.

It took a red card tbf. City will lose if Yaya starts.
It took a pen for Leicester to go ahead and Drinkwater should have had a red too.

Now, Villa. If we can somehow blag this we'll be within 5 points of safety and not completely buried. Sturridge and Coutinho are back for Liverpool and start, whilst we're playing Bacuna in midfield, an amateur in goal and someone who's about two stone overweight up top. We're fucked, aren't we?

Football is more often littered with teams 10 points ahead of other teams with 12 games to go finishing higher.
Can, Henderson and Milner is a disaster waiting to happen.
Browning
14-02-2016, 02:06 PM
I'm with Jimmy. United would probably need to win 9-10 of their 12 games to crack it and they aren't good enough. Chelsea probably need to win out.
Jimmy Floyd
14-02-2016, 02:11 PM
Just to put it into context, the points total currently needed to mathematically guarantee a top four finish is 78. That leaves Leicester needing 25/36, Arsenal 27/36, Spurs 30/39 and City 31/39 - and that's if United do not drop a single point between now and the end of the season.
Samadini
14-02-2016, 02:12 PM
Now Arsenal have secured the only home win of the weekend it means we're set for a 0-0 or an annihilation of Villa.
Then Aguero puts Spurs back in their place only for the gormless one to level it late on.
Both Sunderland and Chelsea won at home this weekend.
The most upsetting thing about today is that Danny Welbeck will probably end up straight back in the England squad. If Daniel Sturridge scores today I'm lumping on another group stage exit for Roy's Boys in France.
Max Power
14-02-2016, 02:14 PM
If we were going to lose, it's the most acceptable way to do it in. Played well 11v11 and battled with ten men but just lost out. It means the hype train can move on to North London for a couple of weeks while we rest and recuperate and await Norwich and West Brom at the KP.
It's still on. Arsenal are the biggest bunch of precious, moaning bastards ever and Kante is the best player in the world.
It's still on.

Leicester were decent although looking back they didn't threaten a quarter as much as I expected. They should ask for £100m for Kante, and we should fucking pay it in cash.

Danny Welbeck did tend to like a big game (probably because good defences gave him less time to think and fall over). Call this another Ferguson title if he wins it for them.

I've seen some right tripe in my time, mainly served up when Grant was here but this is by far the worst performance I've seen in a long, long time.

If Welbeck's return ends up being influential in Arsenal winning the title, I love the fact that Man Utd (Welbeck) and Chelsea (Cech) have inadvertently helped Arsenal get there.

Also, I've just seen the Spurs penalty. How the fuck?

City have lost seven now, that tends to be one too many. Guardiola will hate most of these players too, easily his toughest test as a manager coming up.
So is it now between Spurs, Leicester and Arsenal? Tasty end to the season this. Still fancying Leicester for it.
Touré dribbling into three or four players to set up that Tottenham goal was beautiful. I can't see Guardiola holding on to him.

The next four league games will tell us a lot. On form I reckon we should end up further clear than we are now in mid-March. Especially as all the other three have European games and games against one another. Basically, it's all about how we do in the next month. The others will drop points because they face one another at some point in that period.

Didn't turn out too bad for Leicester after all.
Leicester took three more points than they realistically could have expected before this three game run. As Lee says, it's now a case of how they kick on from this. The manner of today's defeat was properly fucking infuriating, but the test is whether they can get beat the shit during the run-in.

Norwich, West Brom and Newcastle at home for them in their next four with the away game being Watford. They'll be at least five clear again.

When I plugged all the results in last week (I gave them a 1-1 draw at Arsenal) I had them seven points clear with 7 to play and then pipped on the last day by City. Then again I had United four points back with four to play, so you'd probably get more accurate results from getting your dog to tread on random keyboard numbers.

Imagine being a Barcelona season ticket holder. You'd spend 90% of the season just wanking yourself into oblivion (I say this inspired by Suarez producing one of the best first touches I have ever seen, even though it led to nothing). I'm not sure if it would be brilliant or rubbish because you'd properly seethe at the rare defeats.

The defeats don't even matter though so I'd imagine it just gets boring.
If you hold a season ticket there is a good chance you'll live in the city which means life is probably pretty good already. I'd probably pick Espanyol just to remind me that some tnings in life are shit.

Arsenal don't have a chance. Irrespective of the points at the moment I'd have them as fourth favorites because we've seen it all too often with them.
As an optimistic Arsenal fan, of course I will say I would love to see them win it.
Saying that I think your right, I betting we will finish 2nd.
I would prefer us to lose the CL, win the FA cup and win the PL. Just can not see us beating Barca and don't want us to get any injuries that could prevent us from a good run in the PL.

Some of the football those two play is the best I've seen by a double act (Zidane the best single act). For me, Clive, the pair are absolutely miles ahead of Neymar.
How the fuck did Neymar get that back across goal? Lol at Suarez nicking the goal though.

Messi took the penalty and just tapped it forward for Suarez to run on and score. This coming 30 seconds after Neymar did one of those circus trick heel flicks. At 3-1 in a league game it's a bit snide I reckon.
Should have been disallowed too as Suarez was encroaching.

It's in the rules apart from the bit when Suarez encroached in the D.
I was on -4 so I'm definitely not complaining about the events of the last 20 minutes though.

If he did it against Arsenal as the winner in the last minute of extra time for a tie they'd otherwise lose on away goals, we could declare the shop closed and Messi and Barcelona would be official Football: Champions. Context is king, you see.
Now now lads, we all want Arsenal to go very far in the Champion's League.
