What did Haaland do? I checked LiveScore expecting to see a red card or a missed penalty after reading above. Did he miss a sitter or something?

Why would that make any sense for them? Some betting man please explain it to me.
They love a marketing gimmick. If it gets a few clicks it’ll pay for what they paid out and more.

He was just shite all round, but yes, he managed to miss this. 1553440417500332033?t=QCdf7QEDLaNPvcMG4OurwA&s=19

Barely anyone would have put on a bet by now and it's only single bets too rather than multiples.

He missed on purpose out of respect for the clock.

Haaland is just a bigger and more autistic Timo Werner. High line merchants

Thought he took his first chance well enough, was a good save, no idea why he didn't head the second one and he was in full carthorse mode by the end.
He'll probably be fine once City start playing balls in behind for him.
Why is ake starting over John stones?
I’m not sure I’ve seen a good ake performance for city. Seems a level below Laporte/stones.
Interesting that konate still can’t displace matip either.

Just seen the Haaland miss, that is pretty special :D
He looks dreadful in the City kit, doesn't suit him at all.

Just seen it on the news there too. Atrocious miss.
When did teams start celebrating winning the shield so vigorously?
It was the last trophy for Henderson to win in a Liverpool shirt. He’s copped the lot now.
He'll probably be fine once City start playing balls in behind for him.
Like that'll happen with Pep's insistence on possession domination. He's just there to tap in those cut-backs and the occasional Cancelo cross but his pressing and build-up play offers nothing.
*and get 15 headers on target.

Never going to work as every team sits in against them anyway. He’ll score a few but nothing like Bundesliga style

He's either going to be Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Christian Benteke. I don't think there's any in between.

If he was like pre injury Benteke then he’ll be class. There’s a reason Zimidy (rip) was in love with him.

I'm heading out now and probably won't be back before full time, so before I go, I just want to say - in true Boris Johnson Brexit Column style - that:
(Please delete as appropriate)
1) What a glorious win for our Lionesses. As you all know I have been a long term fan of woman's football, and let me tell you - what a triumph this is. The girls have proven that womens football is not inferior to the men's game. No, it's actually superior. Do you realise how many of these women will have been playing while they're on the blob? Atleast 3 per team probably. Terry Butcher knows nothing of the sacrifice these ladies have made for our country. Well in girls. #ItsComingHome
OR
2) Why were you sad saps even watching this shit? Of course they were going to bottle it. Have you never met an English woman? Nice of you all to buy into the BBC's "Woman's Football is just Football" agenda though. :harold:

On a serious note, it's pretty cool to win stuff, and it's nice for England to not be shit for a bit, but the cynic in me just can't see past the fact that 4 years ago nobody would have given a flying fuck. But corporations identified woman's football as the next place to make a quick buck and suddenly it's everywhere. It's pretty sad how easily manipulated we are as a society. Given a big enough budget they could make competitive bin collecting fly. Veolia vs Biffa in the Recycling Cup.
But yeah, the non grumpy side of me can see the added positive of sporting role models for my daughter, even if she spent the entirety of it drawing and asking us to put something else on.

It was interesting at the cricket club (where we had it on inside but there is also a nice veranda area without it), all the people watching it avidly were the teenagers/20 year olds. The older folk had no interest.

I caught that. I reckon the wasted corporate seats were much lower for this.
Also, (some) people were still isolating when they had Covid back then.

They probably have to make more effort to segregate fans in the men's stuff, so more seats lost to those seat covering banner things.

Indeed most clubs scoffed at the prospect of having their stadiums used when it was organised four years ago. Hence our semi was at Bramall Lane.
Anfield never gets used for internationals cos Liverpool refuse to let anyone from The Sun attend.
