The Athletic saying Ruben Neves available for £35m from Wolves. United should be all over that. United also after a CB (Pau Torres looks likely) and obviously Sancho.

Kounde to Liverpool looks all but done.

AC Milan have signed a keeper which suggest Donnarumma is on his way.

Wijnaldum off to Barca, along with Aguero and likely Depay.

I'll see what people want to do. I think for the World Cup we had a thread for each group then for each knockout round? But if people want to just lump it into one massive monstrosity of a thread.

Yeah, Tomori is a strange one when he’s included Ben White. I know he’ll be dropped out of the actual squad, but Ramsdale even being included is mental. He’s the worst goalkeeper in the league by a long shot.

I haven't really been aware of the draw until now. North Macedonia, crikey. Goran Pandev is only 37 years old and not 46, crikey. Austrian squad with 21 German-based players, crikey (who tf plays in the Austrian league then?). Yuri Zhirkov still plays for Russia, crikey. I've never heard of half the Italy squad, crikey. Germany doomed in the group of death, crikey.

Should be interesting if it doesn't get called off by Interpol. Much better than all the meaningless recent club football.

Completely agree. And if fans can legally travel (even if they can't go into the stadiums), they will. Clusterfruitcake waiting to happen.

If there was any other country in Europe that could host the whole thing (as we could) and have COVID under control (as we do) it'd be moved there in a flash, but it's England, so it won't.

Yeah the one at RB Leipzig. They had the best defence in Germany last year, but I'm not sure that's saying much really.

Doesn't look good for Kabak if Klopp's worked with him since January and thinks going and spending nearly double on Konate is the better option.

I'd have to take the length of his contract off if we signed that fucker.

Really like him. Left sided though? Wouldn't get a minute until Grealish's shins went.

Honestly haven’t watched you much (pains me to see Emi Martinez be exactly as good as I knew he’d be even if I didn’t have the Baggie connection) so didn’t know Nakamba existed. Thought McGinn was in that role. He can play on the right but I’d rather McGinns 7/10 every match over Perreira. He’s a good player but the only time you see him is when he does something if you know what I mean.

Taz has swung too far the other way for exactly that reason. He never does anything to hurt his stats which makes the 1in 5 times he does something make his average look really good.

I shouldn’t have put a number on it as it kind of goes against my larger point. I think he’s very bad at impacting a game without directly impacting it. I don’t think he makes the team better but if the team is playing well then he can define whether points are won or lost.
