The experience system is a bit bollocks. You can absolutely don it, but not get any experience because your team lost. I get it, but seems harsh if you top score and generally smash shit. Just gone one worse though, top scored on the winning team, but because I joined the server after the round had started (not my choice, I just tried to join a game and that was the one it put me in), after about 45 minutes of battering everyone, didn't get any experience for it. What.

Rocket League Rumble Mode doesn't really appeal to me that much. But me and Sama have discussed before ideas for reviving TTHard and me and Cord were just doing likewise.

I feel we ruined Worms a bit by trying to piss about with different versions and whatever the second one we tried was is probably a better game but the multiplayer was an absolute pain in the hole to set-up.

It's very L4D2 but with rats instead. I liked it a lot.

Nice to also get to choose an actual class too.

Oh and they have incendiary bombs and a flame witch. You'd have been in your element.

The classes set it apart from L4D more than anything else. I'd say Cord's mate the Witch Hunter is least clear but the class roles are fairly clear. I'd also say on normal difficulty we weren't using that clearly enough. On higher difficulties it will require different sorts of teamwork to Left 4 Dead.

Me and Cord also played some Civ 5. Or as our save shall be called: Marauding Barbarian Hordes - The Game.

Was still playing it when I bought a new graphics card and some RAM. I'd saved at that big fort thing at the top and I couldn't see that far across the map. Reloaded and could see for fucking miles, including the main city and its massive tower. Was so happy.

I hated the Sniper for years until I got this cheat weapon. You move slower while it charges up the shot but you can still zoom during it so you just pop behind a corner, hold down and pop out and headshot people. So fun.

Some more games to consider for The Third Hard Ian

Golf It! and Golf with your Friends. You could throw in the Rainbow Six games (Siege, Vegas, Vegas 2 etc) but I don't know how many peeps we could get to play them. PUBG as well now with the 1.0 update coming soon.

Worms W.M.D is seen as the successor to Worms Armageddon; graphics and worms are returned to a 2D interface, and gameplay elements such as classes, water physics and dynamic objects are removed. A new feature includes the ability to craft weapons by gathering parts from special crates or by disassembling weapons. New weapons and utilities are added such as a phone battery and a bazooka that creates fiery explosions; classic weapons such as the Holy Hand Grenade return as well. Also new to the series are buildings that the worms can enter to a tactical advantage. Worms can make use of these buildings as a cover from enemy fire or to launch a surprise attack on enemy worms.

For the first time, vehicles and stationary turrets are introduced which can alter gameplay in many ways. Worms can enter vehicles such as tanks, helicopters and Mechs that are available from the start or can be spawned by airdrops. Stationary guns, such as machine gun, mortar, flamethrower and sniper, can be used for greater damage within line of sight. Both vehicles and turrets can take damage and become unusable if they take too much damage, after which they are destroyed.

We definitely should do more Worms. Whichever the first one was... Armageddon? Worms 2 is possibly better but the multiplayer is more of a pain in the dick to set up.

I would also still be up for Helldivers. And Vermintide, if we can get four now that it's on offer basically all the time because they're making a sequel. Me, Cord and Mahow (I think?) had some good times with that with just three of us on the freebie trial weekend.

Also as much as GTFO is a dreadful name for a game it has The Third Hard (failure) written all over it. :nodd:

I'm looking forward to the new Far Cry, here's hoping it isn't the next victim of the loot box craze and I have to avoid it on principal. The Arena mode in the last one is ripe for microtransactions already.

The question mark about Vermintide (assuming that's what you're sadfacing me about, 'How) was because I couldn't remember if we ever had a fourth for it other than AI and that one random dude.

Anyway, after his inability to not explode a gyrocopter in Far Cry when we were both in it it is no secret that I hate Mahow. It was totally worth getting my revenge by parachuting out of one while I was piloting it.

I didn't realise that Primal doesn't have co-op. Hopefully 5 does.


Looking last night, Armageddon seems to be the best bet.

TTHard have played two versions of it. Looking at my Steam list it looks like they were Armageddon and Reloaded. I've played 14 hours of reloaded and 4 of Armageddon so I'm going to assume that means that Armageddon is the one that was more of a pain to do multiplayer and Reloaded was quite straightforward. We should keep an eye out for WMD in the Steam sale.

Not played anything bar the tutorial mode and a little try of the deathmatches. Not touched it for a while actually, I've been waiting for it to come out of Early Access so all the editing and whatnot is ready to go, now I can fill it with every wrestler I've ever heard of.

I'm out most of tomorrow but I dare say me, you, Cord and others (@Mahow, Pleb, phonics?) can all manage to be on at the same time to don it up at some point or another. Me and Cord turned a payload round with a well-timed uber (him as Medic, he played a fair bit of medic) at one point by helping me clear out an engineer nest.

We also just played some Fire Pro again, having both done some of the tutorial stuff. He's a bit better than me.... other than when he plays as Ahmed Johnson and I muller him. :D

Vermintide: £5.74. I've definitely talked about this one before because me, Cord and Mahow played the free weekend. It was decent with three of us, I think for this sort of price it'd be good value. Just Left 4 Dead with sentient rats instead of zombies and a bit more melee focus, which gives it a different feel too.

And as me and Sama have said ad infinitum, there is also TF2 which is FREE. We've had five of us play that now across various sessions and Phonics has mentioned it so we have six of us in total if we could get it together at the same time.

So, thoughts? I'm up for getting something over the weekend if we can get a crew together.

My workmate was pestering me to try Fortnite because PUBG was annoying him. It's fine, and it's easier (I've still not won in PUBG despite being in or near the top five a few times) and won my first game within a few hours in duos, but.......... eh...... I just get nothing from it. I dunno if it's too slick, I dunno if it's the art style. It's not bad and I'd have thought it being more casual would suit me down to the ground but I just feel literally nothing while I'm playing it.

The Third Hard has represented the board with honour a few times tonight. I had one where mostly by cowardice I got to top.... 10? I think? We had a top 20 and then right at the end we all made top 10, Pleb and Phonics were top 6 and we were third team overall.

I've also killed more people in game today than the other 50-odd hours I've played put together.

My tactic of finding a motorbike early on, choosing not to run myself over and instead driving into various towns only to instantly leave when I got shot at (literally 5 villages in a row I got 0 looting done, didn't even have time to get off my bike) paid off like a charm. Then when it got down to the top 10 I found some shade on a hill and went prone while watching the rest of them waste each other from a safe distance.

Mike and I played on duo for a bit but got slaughtered but I noticed someone we know was also playing it so we combined our two duos and took on squads, which was far far better because they actually knew what they were doing, and were loads better than us. Had fun with them but certainly would never play it alone.

Yeah, tabbing to construct mode and throwing up insta-walls is key. Getting yourself to have 'crafting' be a combat reflex rather than a considered decision is weird.

I enjoyed it, it was miles better once we got into a team of four with two people who play it a lot and knew what to do. I’d play again though I doubt I’d play alone.

We played on PlayStation too while we do our PUBG play on PC, so using a pad was half the battle.

I’d did manage to get a headshot to finish off a downed opponent with a blue sniper rifle from miles away though.
