Lads: Cord, Sama and myself just got Worms Reloaded on Steam for £3 and have already had some top bants. Highlights being me having a keybind brainfart and leaping off a cliff into the sea with a safe and thus far unmolested worm and in another round Cord jetpacking about and then landing and dropping dynamite at his own feet (?) Sama had some amusing mishaps too but he was, by and large, the most competent of us in those opening games.

So I can create custom playstyles which is good, but I have to do single player stuff to unlock some of the weapons for it. :|

Some things I've learned doing the tutorial:
Hitting jump twice let's you do a backflip.
'Z' can be used to change the fuse time on certain explosives and change the direction of air/napalm strikes.

How does that work, you can't use certain weapons in MP if you haven't unlocked them in SP? That sounds like a deal breaker if true.

For creating your own styles (which are just a funny choice of word for config presets) you have to unlock about six of the weapons. If you play using existing presets you can get everything in some mode or another.

I shall trawl through the SP mode to unlock those six weapons for I am a hero.

I've got three already.

I've done the tutorials but have still barely touched the spy or demoman in actual games. Doing what Sama did with me and having somebody healing for you as a heavy for your first few rounds is probably the way to go.

I still play as heavy a lot, if you do it right you can be devastating.
