Saidi's physicals
Anyone had a look at Tariq Lamptey on their saves? He is coming up on a free on mine with 20 Pace and Acceleration but his mental and technical stats are gash and the AI has not played him a single minute in the five seasons past so far. I didn't expect him to be amazing but he looked handier than some of the U23s I've watched who are doing alright in the game when he came on against Arsenal this season.

Season 9 Champions League, we made the knockouts for the third time and this time we were drawn against Liverpool. On the face of it an impossibility, but this season they are starting to look a bit old and tired, now under a 66 year old Rafa Benitez (Klopp having decamped for Leverkusen after three titles and another Champions League during his stay at Anfield).
We drew the first leg 1-1 at home, and then I believe this qualifies as a 'magical European night at Anfield':

They had a 95th minute equaliser chalked off by VAR, loved it. Bringing 'Everton' off the bench was an interesting twist as well.

Pissed it. We ended up scoring a total of 122 goals and the bottom side let in 127.
FA Cup:

Simple.
Champions League:
https://i.imgur.com/8no4Fzl.png
The Beijing first leg was horrible but two very late goals (87th and 93rd minute) gave us hope and we saw them off in the second leg. This set up a final against Faisaly from Jordan:
https://i.imgur.com/KrFzoOf.png
We were pretty fucked in the first leg as we had a lot of injuries but my top youth prospect striker Kim Moon-Ki getting two goals helped a lot.
Transfers:
https://i.imgur.com/l3nl8Pp.png
Spent a lot of cash throughout the year (I'd have done screenshots of each but I've left) and I did so weakening rivals.
Out:
https://i.imgur.com/Jn8f0rx.png
Wasn't planning on letting Sung-Ho and Kyung-Woo leave but those massive offers couldn't be rejected and I had replacements in my squad anyway.
Squad stats:
https://i.imgur.com/CSpAHhe.png
107 combined between Joo-Ho and Phillips is fucking mental. I've never had a partnership like that, usually only one is effective at grabbing goals.
Brazil:
https://i.imgur.com/7Gp0JPo.png
https://i.imgur.com/gMO8fN8.png
Nothing much to say. Media hated me for the squad selections for the final 4 games but we had qualified and I wanted to try some youth prospects who did great.
THE LIST:
Club competitions:
FIFA Club World Cup
UEFA Champions League
UEFA Conference League
UEFA Super Cup
African Champions League
Copa Libertadores
O-League (Oceanic Champions League)
Asian Champions League
North American Champions League
International competitions:
FIFA World Cup
Olympics
UEFA European Championship
Nations Leaue
African Cup of Nations
Copa America
Oceanic Nations Cup
Asian Nations Cup
North American Gold Cup
I'll be looking to Africa or Oceania next as I want to leave Europe last.

£391k transfer budget and there is still £20k free in wages p/w.
Edit: That is not the Champions League (the team lost in the first round), it is the CAF Confederation Cup which is their version of the Europa League.

I fancied a new game.
Started out at Stanford Uni - might take it a bit of studying whilst I'm here.
https://gyazo.com/cd7b576b2c567e91c9411da1f62e61f1.jpeg
Ranked 104th (of 208) in the country, I take over with the team sitting 9th in Group 11 of the NCAA D1 Soccer League. Top 3 qualify for Division I Championship 1st Round - however, only 1 round of games, so with only 4 games to go - very unlikely I'll qualify.
However, the PAC-12 league starts next month and I plan to run riot.

The squad is all regens, with a few standouts including Mo Salah's cousin, Sherif Ibrahim, a pretty nippy right winger.

18yr old Eduardo Castro looks like he will be a bit of a weapon up top
https://gyazo.com/6bd9c800ab9db42b80bed8cab05d3433.jpeg
Finally, Francisco Mejia has some decent determination and 5* potential.

Long term plan is to spend max 2 season here, then move to a club in the USL, then eventually onto the MLS.
Interesting choice. Castro should destroy all in his path.

How restrictive is the league and can you actually "buy" players or do they limit you in terms of recruitment?
Obviously in real life they have to recruit people straight from high school so I wonder how FM manages it.

Yeah I have absolutely no idea. Does it just randomly generate new players for you each year, and presumably the better you’re doing the better players you’d get.

Surely they can't lock the transfer market for those certain leagues though. Unless there's some squad restrictions meaning you can technically buy anyone but can't use them or something.

So, I can bid for anyone under the age of 23. However, literally every other player in the league is not interested in joining me - so, so far I've been unable to poach any players from other Uni's. I can sign players U19, but they are not eligible until they turn 19. Which also means that my star striker, Eduardo Castro is a Freshman and currently unavailable. When are go to the player search and only search for interested players, there are only 7 guys :D 3 are too old, 2 are too young.

The First Game
First game in charge was a trip to UC Riverside to take on The Highlanders. I was over the moon to meet their captain, Bob Luna.
https://gyazo.com/402a62b4f26ea89867aa3842957fe0c2.jpeg
On to the game and 474 potheads, wasters, and Che Guevara t-shirt wearing Communists headed over to the west side of the campus to the UCR Soccer Stadium as the mighty Cardinals rolled into town.
Sat on the side of the pitch, it was during the pre-match pep talk that my Assistant Manager, Parah Salin, informed me that Freshman students were not eligible and had to be red-shirted. I stood confidently and loudly announced that Eduardo Castro (star striker), Marty Chan (our Mexican-Chinese BWM), Michael Johnstone (fat), Oswaldo Alverado (best full back), Antonio Garza (sub keeper), DeJuan Sterling (black), Usiel Nunez, Kyle Gomez and Lee Rooney should all get back on the bus (their subs will NOT be returned). It was after this announcement that I realised that I was essentially managing a Mexican U23 team.
After the redshirters returned to the team bus (no, I was not allowing them to watch from the stands), I was left with a squad of 21 guys, with 2 suspensions and 2 injuries.
The good news is that Michael Colon finally pulled his finger out of his arse and is now back to fitness, Parah Salin suggests that I only use him for 45 mins, a semi-Colon.

After sticking a left back at right back, a few wide midfielders in central midfield and a striker on the wing, we managed to name a largely Latinx XI, and got ready for battle.
Wonderlowski opened the scoring for The Highlanders with a 18 yard thunderbastard, leaving our keeper, Alex Jenning rooted to the spot - something that would quickly become apparent as a bit of a hobby of his. Following a terrible tackle by their defender, we equalised through a sweetly struck penalty from Mejia.
Despite the slow start, Stanford native, former Sabre CEO, and all around nice guy, Joe Bennett blasted a goal either side of halftime to give us an unexpected 1-3 lead. The Highlanders, sitting top of the NCAA D1 Soccer Group 11 table were stunned. 'Soul Patch', as Bennett is playfully known to his friends, relying on nothing more than his pace to terrorise the UCR defense.

Weird couple of seasons at Oldham, first season in the Championship played brilliantly and finished just outside the play off spots. Following season I am given £700k to spend and despite doing what I think is decent business and probably a stronger squad than I had in the lost save we really struggle. Despite me loaning in Balogun and a Chelsea newgen called Tommy Robinson (:D) for a second season after they were top scorer and rookie of the year respectively, the team in general stutters badly. Just finished 16th with a grade F rating but not sacked yet.
Considering axing half the squad and starting again.

Saison 2030-31
Prior to the summer madness Anthony Martial arrived in the winter window for a fee of £600k from Sevilla. Despite being 34 he still has great ability with the ball at his feet and his finishing isn't lacking as he bagged four goals from the bench. He'll retire at the end of the season, but will still be called upon to do bits in the absence of Dembele. Moving to the summer and as ever I delved into the bosman market with varying degrees of success. Hitting the ground running (literally) was Allan Saint-Maximin who has refreshed our attack to no end with 9 goals to his name. His pace and directness in tandem with Adama Traore is frightening and as a result we have scored some ruthless counter attacking goals. His performances have earned him a one year contract extension. On the other end of the scale is Nicolas Pepe who arrived from Manchester United. The Ivorian has absolutely bombed and will be released come the end of the season. With the average age of the squad teetering around 30 I decided to splash £50m on three 16 years olds, two from Reims & another from Monaco. They'll go straight into a reserve team bustling with African talents.
Absent from previous updates was the news of our new stadium. We've gone from a 20,000 capacity to 30,000 which has done wonders for our revenue. Sadly it was not named in my honour and remains the Stade Michel d'Ornano. :(
Ligue 1
Our ability to move the ball up the field with extreme pace has given us a different edge this season. A surprising 2-0 defeat in Bordeaux on matchday three was followed by thirteen games without defeat. Within that run we enjoyed victories over Monaco, PSG & current holders Lyon. After 19 games we've accumulated a monstrous 43 points, unfortunately for us both PSG & Lille are keeping pace. I can't imagine for one second we'll keep up this level of performance, but it's lovely to watch.
L'Europe
Barcelona, Juventus & Fenerbahce. Six points from the Turks, one from Barca and three from the Italians wasn't enough as we crashed out with ten points. Our European adventure continues as we face Milan in the Europa league knockout stage. With Chelsea & Inter the only real big names left in the draw, this presents a great opportunity for this decrepit dressing room to grab some silverware.
https://www.smcaen.fr/sites/default/files/logo_smc.png
Ligue 1
I can't imagine for one second we'll keep up this level of performance. We didn't. With a roaring front three of Mbappe, Bailey & Dembele, PSG won the title with nine points to spare. Zidane was back on top. Toulouse finished second to ensure a seat at Europes premier table for a sixth consecutive season (legacy) and The Vikings were three points behind in third spot. With only one defeat to our name after the winter break we managed to keep Monaco, Lille & Strasbourg at arms length. Our inability to replicate our early season killer instinct resulted in 17 draws for the season, a record matching Dick Advocaat's Sunderland.
Coupe De France
A freak year all in all as the final four was made up of SM Caen, Bordeaux, RC Lens & Nantes. Having been pushed to extra time in the far reaching lands of New Caledonia in the previous round, we made no such make mistake in the semi, brushing past wine country to meet relegation threatened Lens. There was to be no upset in the final as a wondrous free kick from Oliver Ntcham crowned us champions. Alas
L'Europe
Intertwined with our domestic cup hunt was our European travels. First came Milan who we patted on the head with a 5-1 tanking. We would then return to Italy this time to face a forward heavy Fiorentina. A 1-0 win in Normandy was followed up by a five goal thriller in Florence as we edged the night 3-2. The quarter final stage threw up an unknown in the form of Shakhtar who as ever possessed a host of Brazilian talents both young and old. In the face of anti-football the flair was impotent and we progressed 4-1 on aggregate. Onto the semi final and shit got serious as we drew Frank de Boer's Chelsea, a side featuring Zaniolo, de light and David "100 caps" Brooks. We lost at the Bridge 1-0, but it should have been more. The narrow victory would come back to haunt Chelski as a wondrous brace from Reine-Adelaide in France was enough to advance to the final. Awaiting in Lisbon were the Kings of the of second tier European competition, Sevilla. The Spanish were better than us man for man, but we got off to a flyer with Moriba putting us in front inside six minutes. Fearing that we had scored too soon they inevitably equalised before the half time whistle. The second half & extra time passed without incident and it was down to penalties. In what was his last game for the club, Brice Samba became the hero of the hour saving twice from the spot. Martial, Ntcham, Pepe & Kouassi all netted and the double was achieved. Superbe!
After the celebrations died down captain Guilbert decided to hang up his boots. Following him through the exit door was Adama Traore who fancied one last adventure in Turkey with Besiktas. Within the next year Lemar, Martial, Allan Saint-Maximin, Moussa Dembele, Tousart, & Ntcham would all finish their careers. Having led them to glory, I decided not to lead them over the cliff and duly resigned after six season with the club. As with Toulouse I'm confident the youth recruitment will see them maintain a decent level and not self implode. Amine Gouiri was signed from Lyon as a leaving present.
Any plans on where your going next Manc?
Great read so far.
Staying in France is a must. Toulouse never gave me the opportunity to push on for the league and Caen never really stood a chance. Mbappe (31) looks to be on the decline so the league should open up nicely in the coming seasons.

I'm finding on this version that physical attributes are MASSIVE.
Based on his whole kit he's probably the 8th best striker in my national pool (lower if I include all the 30+ year olds) but he seems to be one of my most effective.
Raoul Duke

He's got most of the attributes you'd need to be a Vardy-like forward. Rapid, good anticipation, finishing and composure.
Could do with some mentoring to help bring up his determination and he'll peak early - players with low Natural Fitness and loads of pace tend to tail off in their early 30s

I didn't notice when I accepted my role at Pyramids that they wanted me to sign Brazilian players. I didn't think it would be a problem because when I was Irish/Toronto manager loads of Irish players wanted to come.
That is not the case in Egypt.
Bought a few players and then the board started blocking non-Brazilian transfers so I ended up signing 10 crap Brazilians on a free.
Do the old classic of getting them in the national set up and sell them on.

Oldham reloaded 26/27 season and it was a torrid time. Form was in the toilet for the majority, resulting in me binning my preferred system of a 4231 wing play which had done me so well up to this point and instead deciding to go for it with a slightly mental 3241 overload system. This had mixed results but was still better than my previous efforts, and having had to take over individual training myself and giving everyone role retraining rather than accommodating their best roles (I had a suspicion this was becoming counterproductive) by the end of the season we actually looked like a top team, albeit one that finished 16th.
I have got a mad summer on my hands now as I have a million players incoming and am unsure how I am going to shift some of my existing ones. I think I will stick with the system but it means my two youth prospect CMs I have been developing the whole save and are now worth decent cash need to be sacrificed for it. That's probably a win but I am too sentimental.

Got my hands on a laptop that whilst not great will run the game reasonably, for the excellent price of free. Downloading all the graphics mega packs now, not sure what the best skin is these days.
Also on a facebook page I saw some cryptic suggestion that those premium regen faces can actually be automatically allocated by the game rather than manually assigned, not sure how true that is though.
I’d be interested to know, if so.
Does anyon here know how the Brazilian league system works, so I don’t get any nasty surprises?

Brazil is rough. Every team seems to have a token superstar - Pato, Dani Alves, Gabriel Barbosa - and I’m stuck with a 35 year old Adebayor up front twice a week, every week.
Also decided early doors i was playing 442 with a target man, because itd be funny, but struggling as the players don’t really fit. Resulted in me having a few dispensable high value players - presumably really good attacking mids that real Corinthians fans wouldn’t dare sell - but selling them is proving difficult!
Had two £8.5m bids accepted for a centre mid and a centre back (even though i desperately need a right and left mid, one of whom that plays regularly is 45 years old :happycry:) so trying to offload as many as possible to try and scrounge together an extra 7m, on top of my existing £10m.
I also sold Cassio, which left the whole country legit shook considering he’s been their number one keeper since forever, but it was a good way to stamp my ‘nobody is safe’ authority. Well, except Adebayor and Thiago Silva. Those boys are lifers! Got Adebayor on his coaching badges now too.
Also got Peter Crouch as an U20 coach to try and reproduce Alan Shearer somehow.

Ayr United - Season 2061/62
Following surviving our first season in the Scottish Premier, this season was to build on that and achieve a top half finish. In the end we out performed our expectation, but still finished the season disappointed.
Having been sat 2nd for the majority of the season behind a dominant Hearts (who'd go on to do the double and just miss out on a domestic treble) our form seemed to implode in the latter part of the season which meant we were in 3rd place with one match to play. We were playing 6th place Dundee and 2nd place Kilmarnock were playing the mighty Hearts. I was confident that Hearts would help me out, which meant we just had to win to secure 2nd place. I should add that 1st and 2nd get champions league qualification. 3rd and 4th are Europa.

Crouchinho abroad, the samba bantz.
It's interesting seeing how this parallel dimension save has worked out now I am catching up to my lost save. I haven't made it to the PL yet which I think I had by now in the lost save and had started as a yo-yo club but feel like I actually have a better base going on. Progress was likely slowed down by my mega tactic change and the fact it has taken three busy windows to get the personnel in who both fit the system and start gelling with each other. So far it's november and I'm 3rd in the championship.
I sold an amazing striker I got from Napoli on a free (he was stinking it up on loan at Cardiff) two seasons ago, he had never performed as well as his attributes suggested so when CSKA offered me a structured deal worth £18m I bit their hand off. This was outside the UK window so he left immediately but I am waiting on my 21 year old £17m (club record!) Signing to arrive from Norwich, his stats arent mindblowing but they are all decent and he is a natural complete forward which is what I need. Having shifted a load of strikers around then selling the 'best' one prior to this I forgot to stop my new number 1 striker from playing in reserve matches and now he is out for 7 weeks with a broken toe from said reserve match. Still we have scored 13 goals in the last three matches without him so hopefully his absence just gives a load of minutes to his teenage understudy then gives some time for the new boy come January.
The main problem I have had (aside from the oft maligned small database) is that the system works, I know it works, but anyone who is a good attacking wing back, advanced playmaker or complete forward is too good to be interested in a move. My scouts even thought my new star striker wouldn't be interested so it was a pleasant surprise when the contract went smoothly.
I sold my best player (Fagner, right back) cos I couldn’t turn down £20m for a 30 year old. Wolfsburg got £10M of it. :happycry:
Celtic down in 7th is lovely to see.

Crushed almost all comers in the league since my last post, got the sharp end of the season and had a couple of injuries and saw my form stutter a little, ended up finishing 1 point short of automatic promotion.
Play off finals, winning 2-1 then my DM gets sent off in the 87th minute, 2-2 FT. 3-3 AET. Lose 5-4 on penalties :moop:

I thought it would be a walk in the park and I wasn't wrong. However, I did think Zamalek were going to give us a good fight as they won their first seven games along with us but when we beat them ion the 8th game they turned to utter shit.
Domestic cup:
https://i.imgur.com/Gcw2OWv.png
No problems and I got to play a lot of youth throughout.
Continental:
https://i.imgur.com/Ypx3QBE.png
I thought this would be a lol type thing as crap as the Egypt Cup so I played my youth and we got turned over in that second leg. Luckily my board didn't care about the competition.
https://i.imgur.com/d5ZY5kq.png
Incredibly easy until we came up against ES Sahel from Tunisia. We should have smacked them in the first leg but wasted a lot of chances. In the second leg we were 3-0 up in the first half and coasting until they scored in the 67th minute. From there they seemed to find another gear and we couldn't touch them. luckily we grabbed a 4th to seal the tie in injury time (although we were going through on away goals).
The final:
https://i.imgur.com/Tdyswyz.png
It was all Sundowns in the first half and we were fortunate to only be one down. I thought when Armas scored his second we were fine (he also had one disallowed shortly after) but I was proved wrong. I was then planning what to do in extra time to swing things in our favour but in the 95th minute Armas completed his hattrick and ticked another competition off the list.
Transfers In:
https://i.imgur.com/lVHCWCw.png
£750k and largely used as a backup although my scouts see a big future ahead of him.
https://i.imgur.com/p9tpr8E.png
£625k and our first choice RM for most of the season. He was absolutely lethal throughout.
https://i.imgur.com/ziyDuQa.png
£775k and another for the future for the club. Didn't play much but did well when he was called upon.
https://i.imgur.com/HmJQxDb.png
A steal at £170k and he was the first choice keeper.
https://i.imgur.com/zpkVi2Q.png
£575k and he was more of a rotational option. The squad was very old when I came in and it will be gutted when I leave (I worked hard to keep 3 players who will go as soon as I leave) so wanted to spend on youth.
https://i.imgur.com/Mvpmth5.png
£1.2m and I think he could be pretty big for Egypt. Was my 3rd/4th choice but did well when I played him.
https://i.imgur.com/mv4SRNi.png
£650k and a rotational piece of the squad.
https://i.imgur.com/hhatipJ.png
A steal at £115k. Was my first choice CB throughout the season. He was a rock, didn't pick up many cards and scored a few.
https://i.imgur.com/XcV3Aap.png
My main man. I found him and sorted a deal for £2.4m early but as he was 17 I had to wait until the second transfer window for him to join us. He took a few games to get going but when he did he was absolutely lethal. Seemed to thrive in the big games too (like the Champions League final) which was great.
I also signed about 20 Brazilians on a free throughout the season as my board kept cancelling other transfers. They were released as soon as the window closed.
Transfers out:

Our clear player of the season you don't see many 6 foot 5 players who are fairly quick but weaker than a 12 year old. The lad made it work though.
I will be going to New Zealand next and then on to a challenge in Europe. Also, I have not left Brazil but didn't give an update because we only played 2 friendlies.

The board have just accepted a £2.4m offer from Rangers for my star GK. Bastards! He was only 19 yrs old is destined to be a top player in the Scottish Premier. 2030/31
Trading in the beaches of Normandy for the billionaires playground, 2030 would see me take the reigns at AS Monaco. Monaco haven't been up to much in the last decade. Runners up in the league on two occasions and thrice losing finalists in the Coupe de France. Their academy has seemingly dried up and the fans if they had any to begin with aren't turning out. One note of comfort is the familiar faces in the dressing room, Alessandro Bastoni (captain), Gedson Fernandes & Matteo Guendouzi. Other real players include, Jack Lahne, Maarten Vandevoordt, Lassina Traore & Takehiro Tomiyasu. :sorry:
With the squad in need of one or two more, we secured Batista Mendy from Lorient, Noah Okafor from Espanyol and Anthony Caci from Caen for the grand total of £7m. With millions to spare I then robbed Rennes by activating a £20m release clause for a future French international.
National
Europe was the aim, but it wasn't going to be easy. With teams now waking up to the fact the Mbappe era is coming to a close, they saw this as a perfect opportunity to splash the cash. Rennes spent north of £200m, Toulouse £180m & Strasbourg £100m. Records were broken left and right. On the pitch was proving just as difficult with opposition managers seemingly working out my methods. At the winter break we were 15th in the table with only three wins to our name. Closer to relegation than the European spots, the axe was slowly being lowered. An away win in the Derby de la Côte d'Azur would be my saving grace and from that point on form slowly began to pick up. In the end we finished in 12th with 51 points and against all the odds I managed to keep my job.
Rennes and their new found millions would make history lifting the title after edging PSG & Toulouse by a single point. Zidane would get the last laugh leading PSG to a Coupe de France & Champions League double. Our campaign in Europe was to be brief losing out to Milan in the round of 32.
With no European football as a distraction, a clear run at the the top four next season should be achievable. These hopes were boosted ahead of the summer as we agreed a deal with Leverkusen for Dayot Upamecano to return to France on a free. The contract is for two seasons, but I'll be hoping to tie him down till retirement.

Two wonderkids in there. Not bad given the wage restrictions the board had on me and the reputation of the club deterring big players (like a 34 year old Bruno Fernandes).
Got smashed 5-0 away at the Emirates first game but then drew 1-1 with Bournemouth and beat Leicester 5-1 away.
Not sure spending 27m on a right back with 5 for crossing is something I can endorse, or 38m on a centre half with 7 for heading. :uhoh:

Not ideal but they are young enough to be improved with training and mentoring groups, they are way off reaching their potential ability so far but hammering the minutes into them should see those atrributes improve massively. At this point in the game (2030) the really phenomenal wonderkids are going for £100m starting bids. Although weirdly despite it being 2030 the Leicester team I faced included Tielemans, Chilwell and Ndidi.
Quickest I've gotten through a season! All was going well until they just gave up at the end and stopped playing other than to defend, resulting in weeks and weeks of draws. Turned it back on once it was to late.

Made the most profit this season, the worst disciplinary record ever too :D But stayed up, which I never managed in the lost save (I think I am nearly back up to where I was). Been given £50m to spend for the summer, going to see what's available and maybe use loans to prop any weak spots in the squad.
The biggest issue I had at the start of this season I think was getting rid of players who weren't good enough/too old/both but had good link ups with players around them.

Ayr Utd - Season 2062/63
Summary:
A decent season considering the shit start to it. We lost out star GK to Rangers after the Chairmen accepted a bid of £2.4m. The bastard. We also lost our only LB. and bBecause my board are a bunch of cunts, I had no transfer funds to replace them both and our salary budget was 70k. Two of Rangers/Hearts players alone would reach that budget.
Managed to get some free transfers and a loan signing in, but got dealt an unfortunate draw in the Europa qualifying which meant Genoa easily knocked us out. Men against boys. This poor form continued into the start of the season, but we slowly turned it around and were playing above our level.
By the penultimate league game, we were 3rd, 3 points behind Celtic (Hearts had already won the league). Our next game was against Celtic; a 6 pointer. Only the top two get a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
https://i.imgur.com/MfNAGLQ.png
A great win against Celtic meant we only had to equal or better their final game which was against the champions, Hearts. If you recall, last season we bottled it on the last day of the season and my team are effectively worst this season. So I was not confident we would beat Dundee Utd.

:jayjay:
https://i.imgur.com/LJi3vOy.png
2nd place means we enter the 3rd round qualifying stage for the Champions League next year.

Next Season
Hearts have already signed the young LB i had on loan from Man Utd for £3m. Bastards as he was a 5* potential.
We have £7mill in the bank, but my board have given me a wage budget of 77k and 500k spending budget. That's not really going to help me. They also refuse to improve the training facilities or stadium.
I want to win the Scottish Premier with Ayr, but at this rate i might have to leave if the board do not start helping me out a bit.

Squad:

The squad is a little small and there are some dinosaurs in there but a lot of youth too.
Quite excited about this, I've never really managed in Italy and whilst we should get promoted quite quickly Serie A looks very competitive in my save. Inter have won it 6 times, Juventus have won 5 times, Roma once and the last season was won by AC Milan after 5 years of finishing second. So it should be hard to crack when I do get back up there.
We have £2.1m in the back with £500k as a transfer budget and we currently have £8k p/w free in wages. No senior affiliate but I've already asked the board to look for one.
A few wins and you'll be fine.
Just aim top 10 and get the fuck out of there. Proper Rags to Riches stuff that will be.

It's a phoenix club, they went bust last year.

How good is the coach assessing his PA? Even the dodgy looking ones are worth farming out on loan then selling off if they have alright potential I think. That wonderkid BPD people were questioning my large fee for a few pages back only improved slightly but as he was rated 4 stars by the game I sold him on for £80m after 2 seasons.
Had to resign the Spain position as the game broke itself :moop:
Basically, I took on the U23s for the Olympics and it said I could pick 3 players above 23, but when one of the squad was injured and needed a replacement it was stuck at 'Must Respond' no matter what, I noticed the criteria had changed to 'no players over 23' and I couldn't remove the ones already confirmed. Anyway I quit the Spain job and was immediately appointed England manager :D As the only nation in the game with active leagues it should be the best national team going.

Palermo & England 2032/33 Season Update:
Transfers out:
https://i.imgur.com/HBrlqTH.png
Only one I care about is La Spada. He's a youth the team produced before I got here and wouldn't sign a contract so SPAL came in and took him away from his youth contract. The compensation also gives us 15% of the profit made on him so hopefully he explodes at SPAL.
Transfers In:

£190, he didn't play much but I started using him more in the final few games as my experienced keeper kept letting bullshit goals in.
https://i.imgur.com/1LfPCZN.png
Free. I don't really have a spot in my squad for him but I like him. I've been largely using him as CM late in games with his pace.
https://i.imgur.com/9fmFwZ8.png
Another freebie and will be loaned out next year.
https://i.imgur.com/itzOcEM.png
Another freebie. His personality is shit but I like his traits and he looks like he could be a solid deep lying playmaker although his vision will probably let him down.
https://i.imgur.com/o8EbRHW.png
My marquee signing. £475k, he's been my main striker and despite not really fitting into my system he's been very effective. He's got a £4m release clause in his contract so we should make a fair amount when big clubs start sniffing.
https://i.imgur.com/BYH0xDH.png
£5.5k, largely used off the bench.
https://i.imgur.com/UpuL8Tj.png
£6.25k and whilst I didn't use him much this season I think he could figure quite a lot next season.
https://i.imgur.com/DJYNpko.png
£10k and I like him a lot. I think he could end up being a real goal machine.
https://i.imgur.com/K9N4tNJ.png
£6.75k and started most games since signing and he's been effective.
https://i.imgur.com/F1pL7U2.png
£7k and he's been a revelation, the guy just seems to perform every game.
https://i.imgur.com/4BJgPHx.png
£3.6k and I was only able to sign him as he's also Belgian didn't play too much but he's likely going on loan next year.
https://i.imgur.com/yIEmAKi.png
£6k and he's been my starting left back. 9 assists in 15 games from him.
https://i.imgur.com/ifvnlH1.png
£11.25k and he's been starting next to Kolodziej. Scouts are high on him and he's done a quality job so far.

https://i.imgur.com/h7Hqmjy.png
It was tough going at the start as we kept letting in late and/or stupid goals as well as picking up red cards. In February though everything seemed to click into place, our signings seemed to settle and we started looking like killers. The Frosinone match looks bad on paper but we had 8 players out for international games which meant we couldn't really compete.
The playoffs were shit as we just couldn't score against Novara who were playing very compact as they knew they'd go through with a draw.
Squad:
https://i.imgur.com/qWc6k2c.png
https://i.imgur.com/z4c837g.png
We also brought in a few on loan from the Premiership and they were a big help. Feys the clear player of the season though, he was a game changer from left back.
I've asked the board if we can go professional and that should happen next month. They've also agreed to upgrading our youth recruitment and are looking for a parent club. I think we've got a serious chance of winning next year and if not we should be much higher up the table so have a better seeding.

The star system needs going in the bin imo.
I'm interested to know why you think this?
Also Lofty why is the star system subjective?
I play FM 11 still and I base my squad around the star system way more than their individual attributes. Is that wrong? Like 99% focused on the star system.
Gray Fox
18-08-2020, 10:52 PM
It's comparative to your clubs stature, league and players you have.
For example someone like Harry Wilson might be 2* for Liverpool, but put him in a Championship team and that moves to 4*
Dquincy

...It also appears the game is killing itself.
A 17 year old Spanish regen is playing for Calgliari and also managing Wales. He has no non-playing attributes whatsoever. He is listed in the General Info tab as 'Player'.

Yeah I get that, but surely as long as you're signing players for your club which are a higher star rating then you're going to be improving your squad. Balls to individual attributes (...to a certain extent).

You can usually fix these types of bugs by going on holiday for a few days and letting the game sort it out. Just for future reference.

Aha, cheers. Thankfully all's well that ends well in this case.
DQuincy, I know what you're saying about the stars and yes they are a good reference if you have a 20 Judging member of staff telling you someone is 4 star in their position and someone else is 3 star, but quite often the star ratings in your own squad will change because you signed or sold someone, which is why I would also look at raw attributes and stuff like form rather than rely purely on stars which can be subjective in my experience.

After a tumultuous 2031/32 season which saw Oldham finish just above the relegation zone despite signing some excellent players and previously manage a top ten finish I binned my long standing tactics and a lot of long serving players too. Signed a load of ageing free agent midfielders with nice atrributes on 12 month deals and brought back a newgen striker I loaned from Chelsea who was likely the best striker the team had seen in years, selling off my two stalwarts who had been returning piss poor numbers. It's now January and I am in the hunt for Europe, short at left wing and a bit miffed a 31 year old Saka turned down my offer of £170k a week to join Villa on £115k a week :moop:

Finished 7th which wasn't enough for Europe, got to the FA Cup Semi-Finals then had a disaster against Spurs where we went down to ten men and lost 6-2. Beat them in league a week later 3-0 :moop:
England having the same problem I had with Spain despite the tactic being different, obliterate anyone and break records for fun (beat Scotland 9-0 :D) but any competent team in a knockout match and suddenly we cant break them down. Finished 3rd in the Nations League, same as my Spanish performance. Need to start grooming all the wonderkids now to have them ready for a tournament, the likes of Greenwood, Rashford and Foden are not long for retirement now.

Finished 8th, made it to the FA Cup final. The way the fixtures panned out my last league game of the season was away at the Etihad to a Man City side who hadn't yet won the league, followed by a trip to Wembley to play... Man City. As I couldn't be caught in the league I put my second string out and won 2-0. Caused some selection headaches but in the end I opted for my 'A' team. We missed a penalty in the 20th minute before going 3-0 down, finishing 4-2 at full time. Still based on the season on season improvement (Semis last year, final this year) hopefully next year is the year.
Just the small matter of a World Cup for England this summer, massive offers coming in for all my best players but the board isn't giving me all the revenue so it's not like I could sell up for a £300m kitty and rebuild. I have taken the bold move of purely picking players based on their form to whittle the squad down to 23 for this, meaning there has been uproar in the media. Could be toast if there is an early exit :D

I then up next years to important player says he doesn't want that and takes it back down to regular starter and then storms off.

Palermo & England 2033/34 Season Update:
League:
https://i.imgur.com/CU0YqJG.png
https://i.imgur.com/ykEBMil.png
https://i.imgur.com/nCf8UU3.png
I thought we'd win the league but I didn't think it would be that easy, especially as I was rotating my team a lot to ensure my HUGE squad got minutes.
Cups:
https://i.imgur.com/764nu6t.png
Pescara are a Serie B team (although it looks like they might be going down) so that was huge. I thought we could beat Torino but they were far too good for us sadly.
https://i.imgur.com/tS7a8Cs.png
Officially the best team in Serie C.
Transfers In:
https://i.imgur.com/cV7H15Y.png
A free transfer and I'm pretty excited about him. He came in as our 6th or so best midfielder and he ended the season as arguably our number 1. I even rejected a £3.7m bid from West Ham in January for him.
https://i.imgur.com/Yxap1bO.png
£14.5k and he was instantly loaned out to a Serie D side and he did very well. 29 starts, 8 goals and 17 assists with a rating of 7.31.
https://i.imgur.com/c0BI6xg.png
Another freebie. He didn't feature much early on in the season but I started playing him a lot at RM near the end of the season and he's been fantastic.
https://i.imgur.com/HbG9aTz.png
Another freebie and I've tried to give him a lot of minutes but he hasn't done much with them. I've been training him as an MC (which is where a lot of his minutes came) to try and take advantage of his passing.
https://i.imgur.com/fdzsg47.png
£10.75k and was loaned out in January as I wanted to give Jahn more time in the team.
https://i.imgur.com/sbJBiVd.png
£13k. Still needs to be trained as an ML as he's a natural AML.
https://i.imgur.com/zfI9UfM.png
£15.25k. I missed out on about 5 better wingers nearer the start of the window and I had no ML's so I went a bit too mental.
https://i.imgur.com/EHG11sq.png
Another freebie. Needs training as he's only natural in positions I don't play.
https://i.imgur.com/Zoga5rc.png
Another freebie and he's been my first choice RM. He's far too good for the league and his physicals mean he just skips past defenders easily.
https://i.imgur.com/ru6W1a1.png
£14k. His wages are a bit mental but I had missed out on so many players and so many teams had made offers for him and I really wanted him. Natural on the right and through the middle is really helpful and my fans were most excited about him when he signed.
https://i.imgur.com/T1n4mHt.png
£29k and I clearly needed another LM...
https://i.imgur.com/FWuEido.png
I don't usually post screenshots of loanees but he's joining us on a free at the end of the season. Was my starting LM throughout the season and he's been phenomenal.
More scooping of youths in a bucket which probably has to calm down from next season. I would have liked to have sent more out on loan than I did but I couldn't secure as many loan deals as I wanted.
Squad:
https://i.imgur.com/g8pXQZp.png
https://i.imgur.com/VdlbW9b.png
I said in my last update that I think Timmermans would be big this year and I was right as he was absolutely lethal. I also thought he'd suffer from being rotated in and out so much but that wasn't the case.
Goal next year is to not bring in anyone else on loan and to bring in some defenders as we currently own fuck all.

Wasn't happy with my other keeper (and I only had one) as he let in a lot of stupid goals last year and Birmes was affordable at £105k and he was a better option. He wasn't brilliant though so I've already lined up someone better for next season.
Squad:
https://i.imgur.com/osNtsQs.png
I realised I had loaned out 21 (with no option to re-call them) players a little late so the squad was a little thin this year. I used the dregs in my youth teams to fill out the bench and luckily I wasn't too hampered by injuries. My strikers were a lot more ineffectual than I thought they would be but we never really struggled for goals thankfully.
On to Serie A and I'm hoping for a challenge. Juventus, Inter and AC Milan are easily the three best sides right now with another group of 5 or so teams in the next pack down.

On top of that I won the Gold Cup and Nations League with Mexico, and got the 23s through Olympic qualifying (Easier said than done as due to database constraints I had a total squad of 16 players). My new club is Parma. They are currently 10th with a media prediction of 7th. But there is about 5 points between 3rd and 10th, so should be interesting. I did apply for higher ranked jobs, but it appears 7 years in the Highlands doesn't bode well for your CV.

Season 2063/64 - Ayr Utd / Parma
As per above, I finally lost patience with the Ary Utd board with them not investing in the club or new players. I was sitting third about 5 points behind the mighty Hearts and Rangers. My star striker's contract was expiring and he wanted a massive 33k a week (up from the 7k he was currently getting). The board refused to pay that level so he was heading out of the club at the end of the season, so i thought the wee jock bastards can get stuffed.
Applied for a lot of top tier clubs (Athletico, Arsenal...and some other i've forgotten) and none of them gave me the time of day. Ageist bastards, just because i'm 81 years old in the game. Luckily, Parma were having a stinker of a season. They got knocked out of the Europe qualifiers by some Israeli goat herders called, Sport Club Irony Ashdod. Great name. So on 8th November 2063, I was appointed as new manager of Parma.
We only had the league to contend with and the season turned out alright for us.
https://i.imgur.com/S2TeWq5.png
https://i.imgur.com/AVUFBu7.png
The media predicted position was 7th, so i was aiming for a Europa slot, but not having any other matches other than the league meant we could rest all our players and we managed to sneak 4th place and a Champions League qualifying position. Definitely not the 4th best team in the league but we'll take it.
As with a new club, you want to put your stamp on it, so I've had a busy summer.
Trannies in:
Note the 2 players from Ayr Utd. Couldn't resist, wanted to asset strip the bastards, but the majority of their players are understandably too shit for Serie A. You might recognise Paolo Di Lauro was at Ayr with me, but he choose to go to the shithole that is Portsmouth instead of Parma during the winter transfer window. Luckily he had a minimum fee release clause, so i nabbed him during this summer.

The stand out signing (who has currently put the club into negative financial balance) is Marco Bernardo. I didn't just sign him because his name rhymes, he is 18 and and has the potential of 6 police officers...or 3 fireman. Due to lack of funds, I've paid £10mill upfront and £10mill over 24 months. I'm also having to sell two strikers to put us back in the black.
Here is Marco Bernardo.

This is how my first team squad is looking as we enter the pre-season friendlies. I'm aiming for another top 4 position this season. Just wondering whether to start Marco Bernardo from the off, or bleed him in from the bench.

For all you history buffs, here is where the Serie A title has gone over the years since i started this save. Worth noting i had a stint at Palermo in 2019 until 2022, and AC Milan in 2030 until 2032.

£48m (£32m of it is upfront) and 40% of the profit of the next sale, yay or nay? I'm leaning yay, largely because I have 2 CM's that are currently better than him, have a 3rd coming in the Summer (although I might take him now) and a 4th who is very promising.

2036/37 season I spent the summer trying to shore up cover for positions rather than get any stars, decided to let my wingers go who were out of contract anyway though one has managed to stay until his contract ends.
Anyway a strong start to the season in the league tailed off slightly, peaking at 2nd but ending up in the same old sprint for europe. As it ended up, I finished 5th, 1 point short of the top 4. Then I had an FA Cup final against Man City, trying to win back to back cup victories. 1-1 went to penalties, of course of all the players to bottle theirs it was my strike, they never missed any.
Thankfully I had another chance to finish with silverware thanks to the Europa League final against Spurs. Crushed them 4-1 :D
Oldham are in the Champions League, 60m budget but a few players ageing out and leaving on a free, an interesting summer on the cards.

Struggled mightily at the start and I thought we might be in a relegation fight. I did not expect this to be the outcome. I'm a little disappointed we won it so easily but that's largely because everyone else was a bit shit. 80 is the second lowest points total to win the league in my save with 2033/34 seeing the winners only need 77.
Juventus, Milan and Lazio are usually a lot more competitive so hopefully next season it will be a lot harder otherwise I'm going to have to go to another European team and impose a transfer ban on us as I wont have a chance winning the Europa Conference League otherwise.

A freebie who has been our starter. Like our other keepers he's been beaten by a lot of shit goals though which is annoying, he seems to be the best though.
https://i.imgur.com/SpkB4wc.png
£7.25m and I think I probably overpaid. Didn't play much and I'm not a fan of his low physicals but he seems to have everything else and my scouts are very high on his potential.
https://i.imgur.com/MH994aa.png
I only had 3 CBs at the time and 2 of those were players who are better at other positions so I wanted someone who could be great. I only had a couple of million in transfer budget so I asked my board to sign him and they obliged for £7.25m. Would like him to be a bit quicker but I love him other than that.
https://i.imgur.com/j01IXUv.png
I had secured a deal to sign him on a free at the end of the season but when I sold Kolodziej for big money I bought him for £400k. I'd like him to be a bit further along with his development and his potential isn't the highest but there was a lot of interest in him and I couldn't say no for the low price.
https://i.imgur.com/YfDudKt.png
Another that I had secured a free transfer for but I bought him now for £650k. He's not my sort of striker but I had to sign a 6 foot 8 Kenyan who looks like a great finisher. Sadly he was a bit shit and he only managed to score goals (3 of them total) in the final 2 games.
Squad:
https://i.imgur.com/bOAnpkD.png
https://i.imgur.com/nh7JGo8.png
I'll probably send most of those who are on loan back out on loan (bar Hartel as I think he could help the side) as they wont be able to get the games required to further their development here. I might sell Georgievski too if I get a good enough offer as he just doesn't seem to be great in my team but his value is pretty high.

We were pretty shit in the first half of the league and were down in 13th with Juventus 8 points ahead of us but we easily won it in the end. I think the problem is that there are a few good teams but no one really stands out. As such no one really breaks away from the pack which leaves us free to come back into it and we always seem to turn it on after January.
Cups:
https://i.imgur.com/zWlpOVP.png
We were also beaten by Inter in the Supercoppa who were our bogey side this year.
Europe:
https://i.imgur.com/I9AnSrb.png
We came second in the group behind Valencia (I also lost that last game as I used kids as I knew we were finishing second) and then as above, Lyon fucked us in the last few seconds.
Transfers:
I tried to move on Timmermans for £100+ but I was only getting offers well below his value (he was valued at around £40m and I was only getting offers around £25m) but I did move on a few shitheads who had no chance of breaking into the team/were clearly busts.
Here's who I bought:
https://i.imgur.com/CuiYQMI.png
We only had 2 CB's and one of those was more of a RB so I went for a few this year. First up for £6.25m and largely backup was Harrison. He's the highest potential according to the scouts and I like him a lot.
https://i.imgur.com/i8l1gvJ.png
£3.3m. I'm not sure what to make of him as he's pretty raw but scouts are high on him and there was a lot of interest from other clubs. For some reason my assistant is training his slowass to be a LB.
https://i.imgur.com/Y1LYv4G.png
£9.5m and our record signing. He's also the oldest player I've signed here but also the most polished. The giant has been great for us.
https://i.imgur.com/g6FAYw7.png
A steal at £1.3m. I have way too many LM's in the squad but I couldn't say no at that price.
https://i.imgur.com/YxOKeuL.png
£3.5m and he's on quite high wages (especially after he's played 20 games) but there were so many teams coming in for him. His finishing and composure are absolute shit but I think he's going to be a star.
Squad:
https://i.imgur.com/0CNflw4.png
https://i.imgur.com/CeXOzwx.png
I'll be staying at least another season (probably until I win the Champions League) and I think right now the main area we need help in is CM. Talotta hasn't pushed on at all and Wouter Jans goes missing in a lot of games.
Petar Durak was also our main RM for the last few seasons but he turned to shit this year and Kevin Jahn became a star. I'll be trying to sell a few including Georgievski and Timmermans this year and I want a marquee signing.

Preseason Transfers - 2065/66
I had another busy summer buying 15 new players and shipping out 8 first team squad players. I've either created a potential league winning team, or I've destroyed what was a steadily improving group of players. And i should add we're not -£10m in the red.
The finances have taken a bit of a hit which is unlike me, so will need a decent Champions League run to re-coup some money. But then i found out we were unseeded in the draw and we've drawn Manchester City in the final qualifying stage before the groups are drawn. Ffs.

Transfers Out
https://i.imgur.com/e6kCnky.png
A quick note on the transfers out. My superstar centre back who i stole from Ayr Untd (via Portsmouth) has bloody left me again. Lens activated his minimum release clause and he rejected my contract renewal. He was potential captain material and i will get him back at some point. The arsehole.
Below are the incoming players...quite a few of them.
https://i.imgur.com/wxNWFro.png
This fella is going to be something special i think. Cost me a fair chunk of our budget. I had signed him last summer, but had to defer it by a season due to lack of funds and the fact we can signed only 1 non-EU player per season in Serie A.
https://i.imgur.com/s2oYYOl.png
Squad player, probably won't make it long term.
https://i.imgur.com/6OT3bNG.png
Decent young CB from Man Utd. Has a first team role already due to my lack of options.
https://i.imgur.com/0KPVyRj.png
Had this chap on loan all last season with a pre-set fee agreed if i wanted him permanently. He's solid without being world beating.
https://i.imgur.com/BhIvfrH.png
Youngster signed from Liverpool. Has the potential to be a first team regular.
https://i.imgur.com/onXonPn.png
He looked good at Hearts and my scouts liked him. But now he's joined, my coaches aren't as excited. But he'll be a solid first team member to rotate.
https://i.imgur.com/f0nXYsN.png
Don't know why I bought him, other than he wanted to leave Newcastle and seemed half decent. I don't play with wing backs or wingers, so am training him as RB.
https://i.imgur.com/YaXvntT.png
Definitely a future No.1 GK for us. Currently playing as back-up to my new free signing noted further below.
https://i.imgur.com/RFhZzn6.png
I panic bought another GK. He's good, but I've not found a way to play two Gk's in a match so far, so not sure he'll get many chances.
https://i.imgur.com/obqwTMm.png
I clearly over paid for him, but he'll be a consistent first team starter this season. Shall review whether to keep him at the end of the season or try to cash in. Another one where my scouts thought more of than my coaches when he arrived.
https://i.imgur.com/fcwluzB.png
Very promising youngster who will lead the line in a few years i hope.
https://i.imgur.com/e8SNcHc.png
Panic bought this fella after my favourite CB left me again, so have loaned him out and shall see if we have space for him next season.
https://i.imgur.com/Ef0ING4.png
This chap is my new main man up front. Hoping he's going to be a goal machine. Time will tell. He scored something like 27 in 33 at Frankfurt last season.
https://i.imgur.com/FnkovUM.png
Signing of the season getting him on a freebie. PSV somehow let his contract expire even though he's the Dutch No.1 Gk.
https://i.imgur.com/Zr8FHcL.png
Scouts liked him, so signed him as one for the future.
That's the signing done for this season. Just need to blend them all in and hope we somehow beat Man City in the Champions League qualifier.

Cups:

We also lost the Supercoppa to Inter who just seem to have our number in these cup fixtures.
Europe:

Transfers Out:

I wanted to also sell a couple of others but didn't get good enough offers for them. Selling my third choice LM (Hartel) and my fifth choice striker (Zair) for a combined total of £77.5m was quite nice. We also made a good few million in loan fees too.
Transfers In;
https://i.imgur.com/JlCFbEe.png
£9m and he's become my main RM. He's absolutely brilliant.
https://i.imgur.com/P60OeCJ.png
£54m. I wanted a big time CM to really elevate my squad and Virgil was it. I wanted another guy at first but his team wanted £78m and he wanted close to 200k in wages. They actually took his price down to £50m in November as he was unhappy but I sadly didn't have the money at the time and when January came around it was £100m+.
https://i.imgur.com/4DsqJGV.png
£3.9m. I actually had a deal agreed last year for him but he finally moved over this year. I got to play him a lot near the end of the season and he did well.
https://i.imgur.com/uGc8Mo5.png
£2.1m. I couldn't register him to play as I had already bought a foreigner this year. Doubt he'll get into the team but should be able to make money.
https://i.imgur.com/RCoODMh.png
£52m. I wanted to sell my only LB (although I was using a CB there instead) and I knew we could improve the position so took the plunge on Lima. He's one of, if not the best LB's in my save right now and he has been brilliant for us.

Most of the loanees are no longer good enough for the team so I might try to move some of those on permanently but I don't really need any money. We have £100m in the bank and the board is quite stingy with it.
I'll be staying here until I win the Champions League and then move on to a recently promoted Premiership team as that should be a hard challenge.
I also haven't had an international job in a few seasons now as I keep forgetting to check and I still have a lot to win on that side.

Probably gonna end up destroying my Corinthians team from within. :happycry:
Basically my two strikers (Andre Andersson and Lazaro) both scored 38(!) goals each last season. But I've had one wonderkid striker (Matias Arezo, real player - anyone had him?) due to come in for ages and he's turned up and I don't wanna not give him games. Also my scouts found some 76k striker that they couldn't stop jizzing over, who had a 7m release clause. I bid it with the intention of cancelling it but in the contract negotations he demanded to be a star player, at 16 years of age. That kind of swagger is Ronaldo-level goatness, so of course I'm signing him.
So I loan listed my two good strikers. Basel have come in for Lazaro offering him to be star player - okay! And then a whole bunch of teams came in for Anderson. I declined most but accepted Man Utd (squad player) and Milan (regular starter!) so it's upto him. Hopefully they come back worth 50m each and I'll worry about which strikers I wanna keep next season when I get there.
Meanwhile I'm gonna try and win the league again with two competely untested entities.
Oh and I've sold my playmaking centre mid who scored loads of freekicks and got loads of assists, but I've sort of replaced him with an 18 year old with 17 for free kick taking.
275 goals in 468 games at club level for Arezo in my save. V tidy.
Fuckin' A! Only cost me £1.1m. Worth sodding off the others then. (Could you check Lazaro and Andre Anderson too? :rosebud:)

My big signing last summer and easily our best player of the season. Missed the last month of the season due to injury.
https://i.imgur.com/lcXZyuq.png
He may be young, but he was a consistent starter in the centre of my defence. At 18 yrs old, he should become a star player providing he's not poached.
Next Season: Probably going to stay at Parma and push for success in the Champions League. Bit of an issue with our stadium only having 27,000 capacity, so the income isn't great in this regard.

Just started a save with Sunderland using the Winter update on FM20. I need a left footed right winger (who can play as inverted winger) and a solid right back. Wages have to be less than 10k per week. The inverted winger will be first choice whilst the right back will be just a back up.

I signed him and got Perry Ng from Crewe in the right back position. Also signed Angel Gomes, Aaron Connolly, Troy Parrott and Niclas Eliasson on loan. I'm trying my best to sell Charlie Wyke and Grant Leadbitter but with no success yet. Will Grigg and Tom Flanagan have been sold already. I'm hoping to end Semenyo's loan and bring in another youngster to play as inverted winger from the left and end McGeady's loan to sell him outright.
Yeah, the updates have all but dried up from the majority of people on here. Seems like it's just Mahow, Baz and myself still going.
I’ll be back with my Southport boys. Was much easier to play when work was closed.

I took a little break and decided to come back today.
Had a little problem with the game not loading past the staring screen but a good tinker seems to have done the trick.

How? It'd be unplayable with a controller.

Surely it would be some sort of Touch-like version.
Manager sims have worked on consoles before, they just can't be as detailed.

Yeah I had one for the original Xbox, 01/02? But it was a nightmare without a keyboard.

At this point I should give up on the youth system.
Drawn Bayern in the first knockout stage of the CL. Currently second in the League too. Things are going well.

Surely it's just a case of investing more in your youth facilities.

I've had a couple of decent youths come through and 1 great one which was just before I came to the team.
I'm tempted to get FM21 to see if there's a CoVid option to fuck with the game and virtual fans etc.

Are they going to run it in as if the season started normally in August and none of this happened?
