I know this isn't @ me, but I'd like to take this moment to clarify that my comment wasn't a dig at the league cup PER SE, just that in the context of Liverpool's season it's worth chucking. With their small squad and how important winning the league is after a bazillion years, I'd probably include the champions league in that. If i was a liverpool fan, coming 2nd in the league and winning the champs league again would probably be as disappointing as coming 2nd and winning the league cup, tbh.

A further problem added in is that we're already due to play 2 games a week from now until January, so there really isn't anywhere else to put the tie.
