You were very nearly equalised and even after the 2nd the Swedes had a few great chances that should (had it not been for Pickford) have gotten them back into it. it's amazing how important a settled team and coherent SYSTEM is for international tournaments. we've rarely looked exhilarating, on paper the squad isn't particularly great but the players know where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to be doing, and we're brilliant from set pieces. people trying to argue that we've not been that good are sort of missing the point. I think this IS what "good" looks like in the context of world cups.
