Yeah but no-one actually does height in cm apart from european weirdos. It'd be like me saying I'm a size 46, none of you would know what I mean.
if you're more than 5'11 and less than 6' then you're 5'11 mate. If you're more than 5'11.5 I spose you could round it up to 6' if you really wanted to, but definitely not to 5'12.

5'12 is 180 cm. 6'0 is 181 cm and last I measured was 180 but I thought people would do the lol you mean 6'0.
You said you were rounding up feet inches because you thought 5'12 and 6'0 were different things (lol). You seem quite clear on your measurements in cm though.
Just pick 5’11 or 6foot and say that. 5’12 isn’t a thing.

Also wore those out last night and woke up to see this green stain that I can't remove. Doesn't look like paint or anything so I've no idea what it is. Always the issue with these whiter than white trainers.

I already got one for the 99p.
It’s not as good as the google one for understanding what you’re saying, Amazon music isn’t as good as Spotify. If you have a FireTV stick though it can control that, so put info on what you’ve asked on the tv and it can start shows or apps on the Fire TV. “Alexa, load Giantbomb” for example loads up the GoantBomb app on the tv, which is cool.

Has anyone bought a mattress from Ikea? I need to buy a bed and saw one on their website that looks decent and I like the idea of being able to just go in and pick it up (they come rolled up) whenever suits me rather than have to arrange delivery from somewhere else and then wait in all day for their 7am - 9pm delivery 'slot'.

Which one did you get? I was looking at the Hovag.
My mum had a bit of a nightmare with a mattress delivered rolled up. It was uneven so was completely useless - apparently this can happen as they keep them rolled up in warehouses for god knows how long.
Not an Ikea one, just a general word of warning.
A mattress that can be rolled sounds awful. I like my mattress to be as firm as possible though, so if you are ok with a softy one then it might be fine.

They only come rolled, which must happen by some combination of arcane and heavy industrial process, as good fucking luck rolling one up again. Always found them (Ikea ones) to be decent although I have no idea about mattresses.

If you’re shopping in the type of places where a cooker and a bed come to £3500 then you’re not the sort that will notice it missing anyway.
Of course I am. It's just long overdue, our bed and mattress are nearly a decade old. The mattress cost 2 grand alone, but I'm hoping it's going to help with the chronic back pain I'm getting every morning.
The mattress protector was another £80 alone, and they were nice enough to "throw in" 2 pillows. It feels mental to be spending so much, but it better be worth it.

I spent fifteen hundred quid on an orthopaedic mattress for my gran about six months ago and she went from being completely bedbound with back and hip pain to being able to walk to the toilet within three months.

£30, I think. I'm not even going to attempt to try and make anything back off it as it's far too much work and I would be surprised if I even broke even on it. I'll see how Friday's is and if it's similar then the mystery box thing can get bent.
I have been introduced to Shopify which seems easier to start at this stage than Amazon whilst I've registered to a few other auction sites where I can see what I am bidding on. In short, this little effort was harmless but ultimately pointless. I've gone back to the drawing board. I won't pretend to know much about anything but today has been a day largely spent trying to educate myself on the ins and outs. As I said in a previous post, it's not something I plan on doing until next year as I will have the necessary funds to ensure I can speculate a little.
At this moment in time I need to figure a product that I believe I will be able to sell, repackage it etc and go from there but it's about finding that product and first. I'll spend the remainder of the month looking into things and then see where I end up. I only want something to have on the side so I can get some experience and make a few inexpensive mistakes so we'll see.

It was more curiosity on this occasion. When I won the bid I knew there was 100 items in the box and I just figured even if I sold every item for £1 I would still make a profit but truthfully, I think I'd struggle to even get 50p for any of today's contents. Even at 30p to break even it is far too much effort for nothing. I'll whack it down to the local charity shop tomorrow and see what Friday's brings as I at least know there's electronics in that one.
After that that'll be all as I focus on just one or two items.

It's very good. It was an odd sensation for the first few nights, as you don't really feel much resistance like a normal mattress. Very happy with it.

All the CM/FM games were only built for Windows and Max weren’t they?
They were, but there is a program that allows you to run Windows only software on android. Unfortunately it just kept making the chromebook reboot randomly, so that's out. Laptop runs CM0102 ok anyway so may just keep it about for that.
Looks like the freezer is knackered, so looking into replacing that in the next few days. I struggle with so much choice out there so if anyone has any recommendations, please speak up.
Also looks like the Chromebook will have to go back. Think I sorted the rebooting issue but turns out my research into whether I could use certain software wasn't thorough enough. I rely on using Smart Notebook for work and there's no work around to get that operating on Chrome OS from what I can tell. So back to laptop shopping :/ .
