Forget about the other fixtures this weekend.

Wolves had to travel to Cardiff. 1st vs 2nd in the league. Nevas with a monster free kick putting wolves 1-0 up. Cardiff have a penalty awarded in the last minute which is saved by John Ruddy. Cardiff are then awarded another penalty which hits the woodwork. Wolves win 1-0.

One step closer to the premier league.

Nuno didn't try to shake his hand. He took off in wild celebrations with his players and complete ignored Mr Burns.

The only way this season can be saved from being one of the most boring ever, is for City to somehow let it slip from this position.

Unless that lets Liverpool win the league, in which case, fuck no. But I don’t think that’s mathematically possible anyway.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that City letting it slip from here would be by far the biggest upset in the history of sport.

Strong vote of confidence in Moreno to play an injured 30-something journeyman centre-half at left-back.

Unless there's some sort of wingback ruse with Milner on the left in the offing.

Good to finally see Clyne back. A bit shit we've been without him and Lallana for pretty much the whole season.

I'm not really all that bothered about the game today if I'm honest. I'd like to see Ings or Solanke net one even so. No injuries is the name of the game.

Everton have nothing really to play for. Liverpool are 10 points ahead of 5th as it stands. Home games against Bournemouth, Stoke, Brighton and away to Chelsea and West Brom to come. In the grand scheme of things this game means nothing unless Chelsea win 7 on the run.

Solanke is awful. I've watched him or 70 minutes here and I can't even point out what his strengths are. He's just been presented with two great chances to get a shot away but he's too slow and lumbering to take them.

Ings is a Championship player.

I don't know what it is, but left footed small players (the elite ones) play with some much flair. 20 minutes gone in this juventus game and dybala is just ghosting past players smashing them into top corners.

Solanke had 3 great chances there, but we're now nearly at the end of the season and as far as I'm aware he's yet to score for us. He runs about a lot, but you expect that of a young player.

Bit of a shame Everton didn't want to try until the 85th. Liverpool looked to have switched off by then too.

That's because Man Utd are better than Everton. I don't see the problem. Big champions league game coming up, not much to play for in the league, Everton are shit... So why not rest 4 or 5 players? It's not ideal with it being a derby, but in the grand scheme of things, it's a relatively meaningless game.

Pogba is a class player and once this team becomes actually functional he'll be incredible.

Our biggest problem at the moment is our fullbacks. They are one of the most important positions in football these days and when you're fielding fucking Ashley Young and (as much as I love him) Antonio Valencia every week you're never going to be world beaters.

The Guardian finally caught on to your plates suddenly becoming un-spun if you miss the Champions' League and have another shitty transfer window, so you wonder what the feeling within the club (at KGB level rather than the players) is.

Nobody knows, and post-Emenalo it seems to have descended into clueless torpor. Conte must be SEETHING for a reason, and that Peter Crouch/Ashley Barnes stuff they were putting about in January sounds like they are going down the Mike Ashley cut price route.

The best thing they could do would be to give Drogba the job and ensure 2nd place for another decade.

Byron

I said a couple of weeks ago that 4 points would probably be enough to see us safe, however I didn't expect us getting those points against Southampton and Chelsea.

Still only papers over the cracks though. Gold has talked about our summer budget being Ł20m which gets you half a midfielder these days and we'll probably sell Lanzini, Kouyate and Antonio. Whatever odds you can get on us being relegated next season I'd go all in on.
