The RTE commentators have just gone on for a full minute about Isco's goal before realising it was called for offside. Buffon had already taken the free kick before they noticed.
Juve could have had three already. There'll be plenty more goals in this one.

I own more Real Madrid shirts than Newcastle shirts. I own zero juventus shirts. I was neutral in both this game and the Liverpool city game last night and both are tainted by dodgy decisions in my view. At a quarter final stage of the biggest club tournament, that's not good enough.
VAR would've caught one, but that one requires a change in stance by the leadership in football to be stronger in tackling diving and attempted deception of refs.
Deception of the referee is a legitimate tactic these days. Forget the 4-1-4-1 diablo, this is the real winner.

Speaking as someone who knows literally nothing about it, Ronaldo seems less suspicious to me because his physique changed fairly steadily over a long period of time, which would seem to be the natural way of things. By all accounts he works for it like a mentalist.

Yeah I was just making clear that the fact I've done a medical degree doesn't mean I think I know what I'm talking about with regards to doping, because I don't (beyond having a better understanding of basic physiology than average). It's an extremely niche 'field'.

Ronaldo isn't unnaturally lean by footballer standards. It's just that everyone else looks skinny rather than jacked, and really he will only be carrying a few kilograms more of actual muscle mass than most others, which you can easily explain away with what are presumably mega genetics and his obsession with himself. 'Alexis' has a similar rig, but he's a manlet and doesn't show it off.
