Gary Cahill us still starting?! My word. Hazard, Kante and Courtois are going to have to CARRY this year
Potentially brilliantly solid spine there. Kante, Matic, Terry, Cahill. Nobody's getting past that if they're all on form.
It will be interesting to see whether Fabregas can gain a place.

Terry is mince as well these days. Conte might get 6 more months out of him but Cahill has been Plymouth level for two years.
He did well enough to win the Premier League.

He tried to single handedly ruin what Chelsea had done in the first half of that season.

Cahill's fine. It's the rest of the flanges in front of him (-Will.i.am) who are bobbins.
Great stuff on the Man City full backs and team positioning. I love shit like that. (Tactics wanker.)
Chelsea win and clean sheet I reckon.

Willian was the only one worth a shit last season.

Oscar > Fabregas :nodd:

Cahill is such a mong. Gets away with it because he scores a few.
Can West Ham sneak a win here?

Is it a total shitfest? The BIG THREE have the most boring managers ever.
Who are THE BIG THREE these days?
Raoul Duke
15-08-2016, 07:44 PM
Leicester, Barça and Real

Who are THE BIG THREE these days?
Chelsea and the Manchesters I presume.
That's a good looking pen.

Who is an interesting manager, in your opinion?

What's interesting about Wenger?

He isn't really responsible for consistent possession 1-0/1-1 atrocities.

Chelsea v Man Utd has always been shit, but this one will be the worst yet.

Moses :D
What a horrific team this is.

Chelsea look a bit ordinary.

I was just catching up on the result and when I saw Moses mentioned I couldn't believe he was playing for us and not West Ham.
We'll come 6th tops unless we bring in a new centre half.

There's Zouma to come back, and they're meant to be signing some guy from Napoli for eleventy billion

Fuck, I just noticed next game is on friday. Are friday games a thing now!?
Yep. Maximise the PROFITS.

Yep. Maximise the PROFITS.
I like how they decided to kick it off at 18:30 with two teams on opposite sides of the country. No wonder they had to subsidize the away fans, they're having to take days off work just to go now.

Yeah sure, but at the same time next weekend there's not Monday night game.
Maybe they will switch it around to synergize with European competitions then? Suppose so.

They won't do anything for any reason other than making their own money.

No I mean, if they wanted to make even more money they could also move one of the saturday 16.00 games to monday night, so there's games on 4 days in a row. As it stands, Fri-Sun is basically the same as Sat-Mon. Maybe more people watch on a friday night? Not sure though, at least here in Sweden fridays are traditionally not great for TV viewership.
At least getting pissed on a Friday is acceptable.

It's for Singapore and friends. Not Europe. Bankers going out to a dinner with 'the lads' and can watch a match of footie at the same time.

That's why Super League does it.

I take my kid to the pub on sundays, chill and watch the game while he plays around a bit. Get conveniently fuzzy before going home to sober up.
Granted it's not monday nights, but yeah. Love those days :nodd:

There are already games on every Monday night.

I said this ages back but they should stagger the games so every one is televised.
Friday 8pm
Saturday 9am (Super Saturday, brought to you by Mong Tong Noodle)
Saturday noon
Saturday 3pm
Saturday 5.30pm
Saturday 8pm (Super Soccer live - cheeseburger special)
Sunday 1pm
Sunday 4pm
Sunday 7pm
Monday 8pm
I don't think anyone would get fatigue from that at all.
That's how it worked in Mexico (not exactly, but close.) I don't see the issue, it's not like you're forced to watch.
Jimmy Floyd
16-08-2016, 02:37 PM
The issue is that it's a fucking nightmare for supporters (even home ones, really) to go and watch.
How is it different to go on Saturday at noon than on Saturday at 5? Sunday 7pm would be an issue of course.
But if it's about accommodating away fans then fair enough, that's as good a reason as any.
Jimmy Floyd
16-08-2016, 02:49 PM
Being a smallish island nation away fans are a big part of the game and indeed a large reason why the Premier League TV rights are so valuable.

The fuck do you mean? He gets to go to the pub, doesn't he? Watch football, doesn't he?

Ah so going forward it'll be Fri - Sat - Sun & Mon then? Just this upcoming weekend there was no Monday game, so I thought they had decided it'll still be 3 days, just sometimes on Fridays and sometimes on Mondays.

Friday games is just muscling in on division 1's only decent tv/money thing, presumably for badness, isn't it?
