It'll be Long. Although there's talk that we may play two upfront, in that case I'd go with Austin because he will take penalties of he's on the pitch. Wait and see what we do in the pre season games.

Was so fucking hard to make the team when I tried earlier. Really want Zlatan in there but it feels a lot like a pure emotional decision so might not be a good idea. Martial as a midfielder seems like it's a bit of a steal.

I'm wondering how United will line up, but an attack of Martial - Zlatan - Rashford might be happening actually. Then again, didn't Mourinho explicitly say he wasn't going to play Rooney as a midfielder? Although to me it seems to make the most sense to play him behind Zlatan as an attacking midfielder, if he's gonna play.


Anyway, I reckon Andy has kind of the right idea in going for players that weren't prominent/featured in the Euros, and to go more for star players of smaller clubs rather than the big ones.

I'm also staying completely clear of Spurs, I think, as I don't think they will be able to handle CL that well and also Kane & co must still be pretty knackered.

I was torn between making the forwards weaker to get more star power in midfield and vice versa. Ended up with a medium between the two I think.

The problem with Walcott is that he's been playing in too many positions throughout the years. He should have been a forward, and just kept working on his strenght and specially his touch, and he would have become good at that. As it is, he's best in this weird Wide-right-forward (not quite a winger not quite a striker) role, because he'll get decent space and time for his finishes.

Whenever he plays up front, like he has in the friendlies it seems, he's invisible.

World cup comes around every four years and during the career of a football between the ages of 16 and 36 (career span of a lucky footballer) , you could go to three or four different world cups if you are lucky. Qualifying for the olympic tournament given the age restrictions, can only really happen once. Twice if you are lucky.

So what usually happens is some fucker scores a hattrick in the opening round, EVERYBODY buys him, the price goes up 0.3 but then he does fuck all for 10 games. Repeat the first 5-7 rounds at least.

I'm starting with Adrian again, after his calamitous start to last season he can only be on for 5 consecutive clean sheets.

That's not quite right. It's goes up 0.1m every 100k or so in, the amount is changed every season. Also last season there was a maximum swing of 0.3m per game week.

Prices drop based on losing 0.1m for every 10% the ownership goes down. Again capped at 0.3m per season. There are also other rules which effect prices fall to do with wether the player is yellow or red flagged.

As for Pogba unless he gets a big return on his first game I can't see him shooting up in price. He's not good value IMO.

Last season for an all conquering Juve side he got 8 goals and 13 assists in 3000~ minutes, Dusan Tadic got the same returns in 2000~m and is 1m cheaper in FPL.

I bottled having the bargain striker and got Vardy back in. Only thing is it meant switching Arnautovic to Hojberg and then Ozil to Mané in order to afford him.

It's still okay, but I'm sat now wishing I could go back in and swap him or Lukaku out again to try and change Mané to KDB.

I made getting Aguero a priority and in some places it shows. Capoue is a good cheap option but in defence there aren't many of those. I'll be mostly playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2.
Zlatan is the tough decision here. The team above is bang on the price, but swapping him for a cheaper option(Benteke, Defoe, Llorente, Long etc) gives me at least £4m to touch up the midfield.

I'm happy enough with my start this year (120 points) but this weekend really went to shit after a great start with over 50 points from the first two games :moop: I've also managed to leave the better keeper on the bench on both weeks and missed out on 10 points each time.
