The postponement rules seem somewhat arbitrary at the moment.
How much are independent test results being tracked or is it a case of ‘good player x has a knock’, so we’ve loads of covid cases.
I don't know why any games are being postponed. If some players aren't available, play others. Play the kids. Field the coaches and support staff if you have to. Get fans out of the stands. It's not a dangerous sport in that sense.

Why do all these teams have reserves and all the age groups if they dont have enough players?
I find it appalling the slack that footballers get given on this. Think of all the people who lose work / lose money when a game is called off. Unvaccinated players should pick up the tab in full.
They have to have a certain number of first team squad player available. Which I think is reasonable, there's not much competitive integrity if one team is having to field their u18s against another team's first 11.
One of the gridiron lads can correct me but I'm sure the NFL has just said games WILL be played, unvaccinated players have to be tested constantly and will be kept away from the team for a fortnight if they get it. If teams fail to get it under control then tough shit, and presumably they'd (depending on the time of year) have to either use players from the practice squad or scramble for free agents.
