Reports that Nilsson-Lindelöf misses the game due to illness. I guess Pontus Jansson replaces.

Is it subconscious racism to think that all (or even some) Koreans look broadly similar at a glance?

Yes. It's not 'racism' per se just a fact of life.

The cross-race effect (sometimes called cross-race bias, other-race bias or own-race bias) is the tendency to more easily recognize faces of the race that one is most familiar with (which is most often one's own race). A study was made which examined 271 real court cases. In photographic line-ups, 231 witnesses participated in cross-race versus same-race identification. In cross-race lineups, only 45% were correctly identified versus 60% for same-race identifications.[1]

What I find lol is that they think that tactic might be useful. As if anyone care who is who. You just mark whoever is near you.

I can just imagine them coming up with that. They are world champions at getting intense/autistic about pointless side issues.

I was going to commend them for their unexpectedly superb contribution to the lumbering carthorse community. I love a good awkward seven foot brute up top more than anything.

I always thought only listening to football audio via the radio (no visual) would be shit but the commentators do fantastic work. The speak more often and in much more detail compared to the watching the game live on TV.

Bit harsh to start packaging the injured player for the Soylent Green facility right there on the touchline.

He really is a terrible, terrible player. Only redeeming quality is his history with Berg and them linking up well, otherwise Guidetti would achieve far more.

Shame. Look solid enough but even the wide players are fairly pedestrian.

Football that you don't particularly care about is best on the radio. It always sounds much more exciting than it actually is, unless Alan Green is on that is in which case he's probably moaning about his seat.

Forsberg is a legitimately great player, but he hasn't reached his potential for us yet.

Classic Latin American ref this, loves using the whistle except for when it's needed.

Toivonen/Berg is a properly bad frontline.

That Korean goalkeeper has a serious clanger in him, I reckon. He looks like he's being played by Tilda Swinton.

First 0-0 of the tournament here.

On the upside the Jon Champion/Ally Mccoist commentary duo easily the best so far.

Nah, IKT is worse. Fuck knows what he's doing in the team. Ishak or Isak or even someone from Allsvenskan would be a far better option.

Given that he has barely played for Dortmund I'd say no. I would rather have taken Dahlberg as a third keeper if we're bringing someone along to learn.

Ishak has apparently had a great season in Germany.

You most often wouldn't see this penalty given I don't think. That's one of the (probably few) cases that really works in my opinion.

There have been more games with a VAR assisted penalty in them than without. It's an absolute mess.

You get the sense that referees are bottling making big calls in the knowledge that if it’s really wrong they can fall back on VAR, not good. Right decision was made in that instance but don’t see why the ref hasn’t given it in the first place.

I genuinely wonder how many would have been given if the refs didn’t have the option to bottle it and review it. You’re right, it’s a mess.

Was fully expecting the keeper to save it while being 4 yards off his line.
