I think there is a massive divide at the moment between people (like me) who for whatever reason have been out and about all the way through, and people who have either been forced to, or chosen to, shield completely, been furloughed or have worked from home all the way through. I just don't see the great risk in everything. Infection numbers are now tiny and if you social distance and avoid unnecessary indoor crowding, you're almost certain not to contract Covid.
However when I see my colleagues coming back from furlough and being scared to touch door handles or go to the toilet in the office, I just think what sort of damage has this done to people's psyche?
I'll wear a mask in shops because I am a law abiding citizen, I just think it will deter economic activity and therefore backfire.
