Rumours say Cousins will be rocking up in Minnesota. With a contract worth at least $27m a season for 3 years.

The Vikings have been his most likely destination for months, so not sure how that's news. That said, I'm desperately hoping he does go there for Dynasty reasons. Fuck everything if he ends up playing for the Jets.

Be a shame for Keenum is he got kicked to the kerb but don't get the feeling he's well loved by the HC.

Apparently Miami are going to release Suh. Woof.

They’ve put Ja’Wuan James on the trade block too, apparently. Word is they’re going for a culture change.

Others on the block are Vinny Curry & Tavon Austin, although they’re both going to get cut anyway so I don’t see them fetching a whole lot.

Oh, and Sean Smith will be spending a year in jail as he’s pleaded guilty to assault.

Julius Thomas too, forgot he was even a thing.

Supposedly it'll be the Jags or Bears for Robinson, giving me a shot at not having an already out of date jersey. That said there are new rumblings of the Packers being interested, which would be interesting.

Allen Robinson, the Jags WR (and best WR in free agency).

Would be strange to see him go to the Pack when they already have Nelson, Adams and Cobb so you'd imagine one of those would move on.

Both Nelson and Cobb need to restructure or go as their contracts far outweigh what they're doing at the moment.

Lardarius was cut last year too before coming back. I imagine he's done this year though.

Two sources close to the situation told Rapoport that at least two NFL teams are prepared to offer Cousins three-year, fully guaranteed contracts if that's what it takes to sign him.
What would stop him from just not bothering at all?

Also, we've given James Hurst a new contract.

He's a mediocre backup and the money would have been better going to Ryan Jensen.

They also swapped the 12th & 21st picks, as well as 5th & 6th rounders.

Completely fucks over the mock draft I was 30 pick into though

    The draft is ages away

Bills working their way up the board. Easier to get into shooting range from 12 than 20/21.

Brees to the vikings would be a mind boggle. But then again, brees was at San Diego so he's not a lifer. Would imagine the Katrina NOLA thing would be hard to peel him away from mind. Saints weren't much behind the Vikings last year.

Imagine brees with diggs, thielen and A another though. Might even make treadwell look like less of a bust.

Saints fans will just flood Brees with images of Steve Gleason imposed on Hurricane Katrina affected houses.

He wont go anywhere after that.

Brees will end up staying. He'd be mad to go somewhere else & try to start again with 2-3 years left in his career. With that said, Minnesota would be about the best possible place for him to try & do it.

Sticking with NFC South contracts, Cameron Brate has just signed a SIX YEAR, FORTY ONE MILLION DOLLAR deal That seems an awfully long time, and an awfully large contract, to sit behind OJ Howard.

That's mental. I mean he's pretty solid but even if that is incentive heavy it'll still be 5 or 6 mil a year for 2 or 3 years.

Guess they are want to give jameis every chance they can to succeed. Saying that, do the bucs even have a rb if Doug Martin leaves. They drafted that dude last year who was cut and fucked off to sit on the 49ers practice squad instead. Mcnichols.

They'll get someone in free agency or the draft. I kinda like Carlos Hyde to go there, actually.

There's only Hyde and Lewis really.

The other options are all fairly shit.

Demarco Murray might be an option but he's fading.

This is your regular reminder that I adore this thread purely for the names it throws up. I mean, Jacquizz is obviously jive talk for jizz.

I've actually begun to take a tentative interest in the sport though since watching the Superb Owl with a fanatical mate and subsequently playing a Madden game for a bit.

At its core it's much simpler than its twelve distinct squads had always lead me to believe.

"Get the ball ten yards in four goes. If you do it, try the same again for another ten yards."

That's the crux of it. You can learn the rest as you go along.

Madden is also a really good gateway into it.

They do a really good job at progressing the knowledge of potential beginners to the game.

I knew that from my first exposure to it at about fourteen. I just switched off at the first mention of special teams and the like. And the 'Red Zone' stuff is too American for me by half, but I do enjoy that it's simultaneously very simple and intensely tactical.

I do love that a sport which embraces technology to such a degree that they have cameras embedded in pylons on the TD line still has the 'chain gang.'

It can fuck off. I've been playing a Franchise with the Falcons, and I'm coming to the end of my third season. I traded someone for the first overall pick in the upcoming draft, but they've proceeded to have a storming season so that pick is now the twenty sixth. My knowledge has been progressed a little, at the concomitant expense of my interest.

I didn't bother with those. My mate and I played a bit as a team on a Franchise game on 18 the night of the Owl, so I just learned from him as we went. I inherited his copy of 17 to see if I genuinely liked it or just liked the interplay, but I just picked up and started playing. I might go back and do them at some point to see if there's anything I'm missing from my gameplay, but three seasons in on the third difficulty I'm pissing my way towards the playoffs so I might not.

They just work up to give you a deeper understanding of the more technical terms and the tactical side (recognising what scheme the defence is using and shit like that).

That stuff is pretty intuitive once you understand the roles. I couldn't name a defensive play, but when I see most of those that pop up in game laid out on the field I can recognise them and how to beat them.

I’m afraid the shirt is done for by the sound of it. 3 years, $14m to the Bears.

Keenum to Denver seems to be set too, which screams “we’re drafting Josh Allen at 5” to me.

    Fucking Bears.

It's not even that big of a contract, so it's not like we can use cap room as an excuse.

We're going to get Moncrief and keep Perriman aren't we?

Jaguars sign Norwell which is a bit strange, they weren’t even contenders for him.

    Watkins to the Chiefs too.

Watkins is getting more than Robinson, lol.

3 years, $42m with $25m guaranteed for Robinson
3 years, $48m with $30m guaranteed for Watkins.

Brees is safe. Two years $50m with only $27m guaranteed.

Bills giving a five year deal to Star Lotulelei as well.

Star Lotulelei has probably been dying to get out of Carolina. This is still one of the best things ever:

    This is also good:

No fucks given by him, he's not going to pander to Cam Newton or the latest craze.
