A parcel went out for delivery for me yesterday, but I was going to be out at work during the time slot I got. As weekend delivery wasnt paid for, they were only going to try again Monday. I'd have the same potential issue there so paid to 'upgrade' to today between 12-6. It's still showing as at the depot now.
Been onto their support and we agree that it's still at the depot, but they still say it should be delivered today and that if it doesn't show to then contact support again. Just checked and their support will be closed by then.
This adblock convo above made me discover this DNS hack. Mad I been browsing those stream sites for so many years without it, it seems to lead to a much improved experience. Would recommend.

Chrome extension that plays YouTube ads in the blink of an eye. So you're not interrupted, but YouTube doesn't realise so doesn't ping you for using an adblocker.

The warning is back in Chrome, although I've not tried that extension, just using Brave instead.
I actually got the warning once in Brave, but fucked it off and it's been quiet since. Also tested that extension which definitely does the job for those who don't want to switch from Chrome, because YouTube doesn't detect you're bypassing ads because you're technically not, they're just sped up. I suppose the key is to keep everything updated because the adblockers are working hard to get around it.
I saw a comment that having more than one type of Adblocker active is a good way to get caught. For example, people who use uBlockOrigin are able to get round it again as long as they don't have something extra like SponsorBlock running too.

No warnings whatsoever and I use it everyday with adblock, either just lucky or another YT extension is messing with it.

The best bit about Premium is downloadable content and continuous playing when you lock your phone. Particularly good if you drive a bike.
I do the same but agree it's dumb. Ads at the start of a video is fine. Ads every 5 minutes is agony. Even worse when they have different rollouts for different devices.
Also, just gonna say this from personal experience: Adsense is a con.
I'm not really that bothered by the ads in youtube specifically, I'm just too lazy to disable or finesse the ad-blocker and I don't want all the other shit that it keeps out elsewhere.

I'm sure I've complained about this before but cling film is absolutely useless nowadays. Doesn't stick to anything. It also - little known fact - used to hold up fine to going in the oven making it by far the best thing to use when blind baking tart cases, but now it just melts. Probably still made your tarts carcinogenic but whatever.
I suppose on balance not making the earth uninhabitable probably is more important, but it's close.
It is amazing how completely useless it is now and a true failure of modern science that a replacement hasn't been found.
If these things were enough to avoid the earth becoming uninhabitable I'd be fine with it, but as it is we're getting the worst of both Worlds.
Mach 3 blades are another thing that just don't do the job anymore, I can see why you'd blunt the blades as I'm guessing they were very handy for an alternative use, but they're just a bit crap now and presumably people who were using them outside of their intended application have just moved onto other means to get the job done. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with strands of hair I don't want.
At least there's an alternative that works though (anything with proper blades). I wonder how much more impact shit cling film has in terms of extra tupperware or those awful ziplock bags than the fish murdering kind.

Baking paper + baking beans.
You use it between the pastry and the beans instead of the usual scrunched and unscrunched baking paper. It's softer and smoother so doesn't tend to damage the pastry as baking paper can. It's not a big thing, but marginal gains yknow.
Not that it matters now because they've made it SHIT.
Switched over to a safety razor handle + blades a while ago and never looked back. It definitely is a slightly more involved process but the cost of cartridge razors is ludicrous.

People liking my comment, but then people replying saying it shouldn’t matter, and the account owner liking all the anti-me comments, but then more people commenting to back me up. Some guy moaning it’s affected his mental health, how the focus has shifted. Like fuck off I was trying to be helpful. I have zero empathy towards anyone, but can’t help fucking trolling.
I also regularly get seven day suspensions from commenting on anything on instagram because I can’t help myself. Thick people and sensitive people deserve trolling, I can’t help that.
