Keeping it in my MetaMask wallet and telling everyone about it whenever the letters N, F or T are mentioned.

It’s one of my favourite albums, and I got caught up in the NFT hype alright. Be glad I didn’t buy a full set.

Also it’s sold out now and only went on sale an hour ago so yea boi. Others are available but I don’t rate the records they’re the covers for so no thanks

This will all be worth it if we get a video of this:

2 random Gold NFT buyers will be selected to go on Instagram Live with @6ix9ine and receive a merchandise package

Consumerism is senseless at the best of times but this is something. On the plus side, the environmental impact of this compared to the other material shit $380 would have got him means we should be praising him. This could be the future.

Crypto is one of the least environmentally friendly things going. Bitcoin mining is about as dirty as real mining.

This explains what was for sale: https://bondlyfinance.medium.com/the...s-4c1467445079

The auction pieces had a reserve of 10 ETH, which is over £15k, so they were never an option.

So there were 3 gold framed animations and 3 silver framed animations. Two with the DUMMY BOY art, two with the TROLLZ art and two with the TATTLETALES art. The gold ones were (are, cos some still available rn) $380 - although that page I linked to lied and said they'd be $315 - and the silver ones were $130, although the link says $105.

So there was 1 just of each of the auction ones.
There were 125 each of the gold framed ones.
And there were 1000 each of the silver framed ones.

Honestly, a 1 in 125 piece for $380 when NFTs are in their infancy and could go astronomically in either direction, value-wise, I figured it's a worthwhile risk.

If I'd bought $380 worth of BTC on this day in 2012, today it would be worth $1,805,382.09.

Ah just read he testified against the gang anyway, and was let out of prison early due to covid. He is definitely going to die soon, if they were willing to ice Biggie and Tupac then there will be a queue for the Rainbow Nonce by now.

This is true, I don't have the foggiest how this and crypto interact hence the possible naivety.

The more I hear of the sorts that go into crypto the more likely I suspect the crash. If it doesn't, rich lists of today will be made to look like a list of nobel prize winners in a decade or two.

Yes, but you now need it to go from 70k to 140k if you wanted to double your money. There's Alt-Coins that move 100% in no time.

What other investment commodity do you appraise by its likelihood of doubling in value? Just lob a few % of your net worth into Bitcoin and Ethereum and shift your retirement age poll answer forwards five years.

Altcoins are free money at the moment if you have the time and inclination to keep on top of them but your free money probably has a greater likelihood of vanishing into smoke.

Maybe still IAG given time. Pre-covid level is still over 100% increase away. 14 was the bad boy price though. Gold on leverage too perhaps. RR if it can break 13-15 range on the run up that's likely about to happen.

BTC top due soon imo. It's up over 1000% in a year and losing momentum. Look at TSLA for a barometer.

Edit: By top I mean for a year or so. No idea what it's gonna do in 2025 obvs.

My 7 years ago (or so) bitcoin spruiking friend (who has so much regret these days, think he spent 20 bitcoins on a gram of coke way back when) reckons half a mill is a not unreasonable (!) target price for the old imaginary currency. Too spicy for my tastes.

What's happened with Tesla anyway? I gave up tracking it after I bottled buying it at $300 (pre-split or whatever they did) and it just pissed me off too much during its meteoric rise.

I think he's had too much of that coke. Would have to do obscene things to get anywhere near that.

TSLA was just way, way overpriced and the sight of 100 killed the momentum, which once it gets to a certain stage won't reverse until certain averages drift back to the mean, or off the back of some catastrophic news.

I think Tesla might have a certain brand value at the lower end of the market (having the cheapo Tesla is probably more attractive than an equivalent something else), but otherwise, beyond the obvious speculation wank holding shares for a matter of weeks, it seems to be 'tech' HYPE based on driverless car true believer whoppers. The whole charging network stuff is massively over-blown as well.

Pretty much. It's all the Elon fan boys. It's basically the new Apple, except Apple actually sells to its fanboys, rather than convincing them to buy DogeCoin and watch rockets crash.

And, Bitcoin is an over-inflated beast with very little real world use.

There are potentially hundreds. Everything else on Coinbase for starters.

Bitcoin is not fit for purpose. If we were to get rid of Visa and replace it with Bitcoin, we would have each transaction taking weeks and months to process.

Bitcoin is MySpace. It was first and deserves respect for it, but it should have died a long time ago. It's being held up purely as an investment vehicle now.
